The U-Haul app needs more testing. It was the single most disappointing part of the rental.

Brenna RI was told that I could drop the trailer off at any haul dealer. When I arrived at my destination there was a dealer across the street. When I tried to drop the trailer off they said that they don't take trailers. I was routed to a dealer in a different city. This location was out of my way and required me to change my plans. I was unable to finish helping my son and his family complete their move. This was a terrible experience. I won't be recommending your services.

VALDEMAR CThe UHaul staff were good. The challenge here is parking for a drop off. Very congested and the parking area is shared by another business. A tire store. The Tire Store owner became physical, and a fight almost occurred because I was dropping off the trailer in "his tire store's" area of the parking lot. The UHaul staff told me I could drop the trailer off next to the Uhaul trucks by the fence, but apparently that part of the parking area is reserved for the tire store. A lady from the tire store came out and told us we couldn't drop the trailer there and then showed us a chain along the ground that marked the boundary. Anything to the left of this boundary is for the tire store. No problem, there was a clear area opposite the fence next to the building which was open and on the other side of the chain, so I asked tire store lady if I could drop the trailer there. She said no, even though this area was clearly on the other side of this chain boundary. I contacted Uhaul lady and told her the situation and what did she want me to do. Uhaul lady said, park it anywhere which wasn't exactly what I needed just then so I told her there was room in front of the uhaul truck and while tight I could get the trailer dropped off there and it would not impede traffic back to the tire store. She said fine. I moved my truck and the trailer out of the sacred tire store parking area and was just about to unhook the trailer when crazy tire store lady's husband drove up, blocked my truck with his car, jumped out of his car and yelling about me parking in his area ran up to me, chested me and then accused me of being rude to his wife. Come to find out tire store lady speaks very little to NO English. So even if I had been rude, how the heck would she have even known. He keep yelling at me about parking in his area, and I'm trying to explain the series of events, no I wasn't rude to your wife, I moved the trailer when she asked, etc, etc, but he wouldn't listen. I had to threaten this maniac that I would defend myself and pound him into the ground if he didn't back off. It was then I think that he realized he had crossed the line, he said something like, "you move trailer?". I pointed to the tailer and said, I'm dropping it off right here. He got in his car and left. As we were driving out after dropping the trailer, Uhaul lady comes out and we talked, and I told her I had this altercation with the Tire Store folks. She rolled her eyes and said sorry, we are always having trouble with those people. UHaul lady was very nice, but the crazy situation with the Tire Store forces me to not recommend this location.

JOHN AThey rented me a trailer that had 3 dry rotted tires. One exploded on the side of the interstate. I almost lost the truck off the trailer when it blew. 3 of 4 had to be replaced on the side of the road. It took 3 hours. I have requested a refund for the trailer cost but have not heard from a manager. Unacceptable.

Jacob WDrivers side door very hard to close. Each time starting truck it was in tow mode. Out of tow mode super high shift points. Brakes iffy. No signage showing for for U-Haul office, located in a used car sales office with loud music playing, making conversation difficult. After hours check in was a real pain. App kept resetting. Had to start over four times. On the flip side, clean truck, very nice customer service rep, handy location.
Paul CIt was unhelpful to pickup from this location. Even though it was closer to where I was, they were unable to help very much with getting everything set up with my vehicle tow. At the official Uhaul location they were beyond helpful in helping me untow my vehicle and did all the extra work free of charge, but the third party site was a bad experience.

Christopher CTried to reach out to uhaul concerning the issues. Received a receipt via email and I got charged a “cleaning fee” and asked they said it was due to the keys being locked in the car and having to jump it, I got charged a “cleaning fee” for faulty equipment the truck locking me out and I went inside letting them know hey the car was unlocked I have it turned for accessory mode as I’m using the app to end my use of the vehicle and needed to take pictures I stepped out and the door closed and it automatically locked me out, the person inside basically said oh that truck does that and said they would handle it, I never left with any other information or even the total because they said they would call me, I never got a call instead I got an email with more fees. I also had scheduled my Uhaul with a furniture dolly, never got a dolly either. seems like even though they knowingly knew of this vehicle having a defect they decided to add a “cleaning fee” Interesting I even returned the vehicle hours earlier and put more gas than needed.
Mark WThese small Uhaul dealers are there to prey on customers, first of all, you have no choice but to pay their insurance coverages. Second you have to give them an estimated mileages you might be traveled. Third before I walked out the door with the key, she quoted the fuel level a par higher than it actually was, and I have a photo to prove that. At last she charged a cleaning fee of 25 bucks for returning the truck exactly as how I picked up. I suggest that if you have to rent a moving truck, go the main Uhaul dealership they would served you better. I would not recommend any individual small dealership Orem!

Adrian BI ordered 6 blankets, and it didn’t say that they weren’t available there. Also I could not load my drivers license, and the app would go to black screen when I tried to get an address, making me start over and over. Pretty frustrating!
