Owner was very rude and questioned why I need two utility dollies. He didn’t feel I should need two. I had to explain there was two of moving so we wanted two. He forced me to take the insurance even though I had gone through the U-Haul app and declined taking the insurance. He would not rent to me otherwise. He took 25 minutes to give me the key. Van was filthy on the inside. He was rude when I returned as well.

babak mWe were suppose to be supplied with 10 blankets and this location does not supply any thing. Very disappointed. Consequently we used our own comforters, and other blankets. Some of our furniture was scratched. Not impressed.

babak mThey over did the gas meter at the start, so they made me fill more gas than what I used. As well as charging me over mileage for a local, in town move. Overall I was charged $55 extra than I was supposed to pay. Completely unacceptable.

michelle o1) I booked online and completed the precheck in, however it still took over 20 mins as the gentleman looked like he did not know what he was doing. 2) the carpet in the van looked like it have never seen a vacuum. 3) The store where i had to pick up is not a store where Id ever visit, let alone take my child. There are tablets with big bold letters saying "Sex enhancement" "make it bigger". And SO much marijuana paraphernalia. I am VERY disappointed that that's where U-Haul does business.
Barbara MWorst experience getting a U-Haul truck. Always takes more than 30 minutes to pick up at this location. Did online reservation, filled out all info and yet had to reduce on their slow computer. Very frustrating experience.

Bradley BWhen I went in the morning to pickup the u-haul the inside of the store smelled like they were smoking cigarettes and every time a customer came in they took priority over the uhaul customers so it took almost and hour to get the keys for the uhaul Also I rented the 15’ because I have 2 kayaks that are 13 and 14 ‘ long and when I tried to put them in they didn’t fit because the uhaul is actually only 12’9” except for the top part above the cab. I would have happily paid for a bigger one to actually fit what I needed it to but instead I had to mess around and waste time because of a “marketing strategy” that is just false advertising.

babak mWaited an hour for pick up cause they couldn’t figure out the system. When asked if it was cheaper to drop off at the same location or to drop it at destination was told and I quote, “I have no clue”. At pickup I was told they’d make it right and give a discount which I never saw. Cost me a ton of money for a 30 km trip.
Lee DThis experience has been A COMPLETE DISASTER! From being told to come in but then no rental equipment available, wasting my time! Then the company had to send me elsewhere....alot further from my house! Then the reservation was totally messed up. Then the owner had to send me to can tire 4x to buy, pin, hitch and adapter. crazy and disorganized!!!! why didn't they tell me this the first time?? I spent 6 hours more than it needed. Then they charged me again for the day I told them I would drop off crazyyyyy

CURTIS CI was pre-empted by people who came in to buy lottery tickets who came in after me. Three people were given preference over my business transaction. One is ok but three was annoying.

richard kThis was absolutely the worst moving truck rental experience I have ever had. The newer truck we were promised when making our reservation was not available on the day of our move. As there was not much else, we could do, we accepted the 14-year-old truck we were provided, but the car hauler at the location was faulty. After the truck was loaded, we had to drive across the city to another depot to get the car hauler and load the car on it. On the drive back home the engine light on the truck turned on so I called U-Haul Help. I was directed to a U-Haul maintenance facility. The mechanic diagnosed a faulty oxygen sensor but was not able to replace it. I told him that the truck used a lot of fuel for the drive across the city. He assured me that it was because the truck was an older model but was safe to drive the 4,000 Km move across the country with the engine light on. We drove around 200 Km and had to refuel at an outrages cost of $250: a cost of more than a $1.00/KM. When we tried to start the truck, it would not do so as the battery was totally dead. After contacting U-Haul Help again, they dispatched a service truck. The driver was not able to start it until I provided the jumper cables. When I looked at the engine, I noticed that the air intake was not properly connected to the hood of the truck. Why did the mechanic at the maintenance facility not notice it? I readjusted it so it was properly connected to fixed it. We continued our journey, and the engine light was no longer on and noticed a modest improvement in the fuel consumption. We contacted U-Haul Help again regarding the battery issue, and they referred us to anther service provider further up the highway where a new battery was installed. We continued our trip across the country with no more problems starting the truck. It is unconscionable for U-Haul to have rented a 14-year-old poorly maintained vehicle for a 4,000 Km trip across the country. A newer vehicle would have avoided our delays and the fuel consumption would have been more reasonable. The old vehicle also had old technology head lights which made nighttime driving difficult and less safe. On one of the many conversations with U-Haul help I was promised compensation for the extraordinary initial fuel consumption which I have not yet received. After such a negative and costly experience, we will never use U-Haul again nor recommend that anyone else do so. Regrettably, Andy Loscher
