I called to rent truck for the 26th of Dec.Tge man I spoke to said well you would have to pick the keys up on the 24th but we will just charge you for the 1 day.I said that's fine.Then 9n the 22nd he called and said could we come get it on the 23rd bc I was the only one for pick up on the 24th.He again assured me that we would only be charged for that 1 day 39.95 and .79 a mile.I told him we wouldn't need it in the 26,instead I needed it the 26th.He said no problem. My husband picked it up and signed a rental agreement for 76.00 and some change.We picked the truck up on the 27th,did one trip totaling 19 miles.We might have had the truck off the lot 7 hours.We put the gas back in that we left with.(actually a bit more) Imagine my surprise when I got a invoice for ove 250.00!!!!! Then it hits my bank!!!!! So now on a holiday week I'm short all this money. Then I try to get in touch with someone so they can fix their mistake and I cant bc their enjoying their weekend while mine is a mess.They sent me a invoice by email and I sent one back and of course I havent heard peep.So I will be making a complaint to the better business bureau and I will let all my customers know that this is how my business was handled.!! To make matters even worse I started my next round of chemo Tues and I am due to have a iron infusion. Guess what bc of this my acct is over drawn and I have to cancel it if I cant get something fixed!!! I just cant even believe this.

Suggest first 5 miles be included free of mileage charge. Then charge the Exobitant mileage charge over that. There is no way the 19.95 advertised price will be paid. Deception is the bait.

First, this is not in regard to the pickup location. That place was incredible and I really appreciated the staff. This is more of a comment on my experience with uhaul, but I'm not sure where to leave this particular review. The equipment was ok. The driver's side door lock was destroyed, so I had to get into the truck from the passenger side. However, that is not a big deal. The biggest issue stemmed from the fact that I reserved the uhaul a week in advance of my moving date, from a place local to Columbia, SC. I contacted the store the night before my scheduled pickup time, to ensure that the truck was available and the store clerk confirmed that it would be available at my scheduled appointment time. When I arrived to pick up the truck, they informed me that my location for pick up had been changed, because they did not have the equipment. no one informed me of the change prior to my arrival. Then, I drove twenty minutes out of my way to reach the replacement destination, only to find out that they also did not have a truck available. So, after calling customer service 5 or 6 times, and waiting for 30 minutes on hold, I finally got through with someone, only to have the call “disconnect” when she transferred me to scheduling. I was finally able to contact someone who had an available truck and had to drive an hour out of town to pick it up. The whole ordeal resulted in me being unable to move out by my end of lease date, and caused a lot of problems for myself and my lessor. When I attempted to return the truck, the return destination was closed-well before their posted closing time. When trying to drop the truck off, the app crashed several times. Lastly, I was charged an additional $5 for gas not being at the appropriate mark. I literally stopped at gas station and put gas into the vehicle on the way to drop it off. It's only $5, but still. Just points to the fact that uhaul personnel are trying to take everything they can, although they offered zero help throughout this entire move. Overall, terrible experience. I move a lot. I have moved several times in the last 5 years, and I'll be moving again next year. I have spent thousands of dollars with uhaul. I wont be using your services again. I would rather pay more money elsewhere and have the comfort of knowing that I won't be fucked over.

Make sure the customer information is correct, make sure that a 24 he rental is just that. I made my reservation for 3:30 but picked up the van at 1:49 on Friday. 24 hours would mean I had from the time I picked it up til 1:49 Saturday. But instead I got 20 hours which meant the van was scheduled to be returned by 10:00 today so I got charged for two days which was unfair to me! So when a customer makes a reservation their time should not start until they are in possession of the vehicle, not when they make the phone call. So 1-10 for the experience I would give y'all a score of 4.5.

Location and staff very pleasant. Very busy at pick up time. Drop off - receipt requested, but advised not necessary. That said, I was CHARGED DOUBLE RATE and did not realize I was charged for 2 days on a 1 day rental, returning equipment in excellent condition, and timely as requested by owner. NO REFUND from Uhaul now 4 DAYS LATER.

I didn't leave the keys in the truck like the online instructions said to because I didn't want anything to happen to the truck and be liable. The gentleman from Sutton Marine called me personally to check on the keys and was so kind during drop off. If I ever have to move again he told me to give them a chance, because I told him I'd never use uhaul again, and he would make sure my experience was perfect. I will tell everyone about this uhaul location and he is the only reason I would consider uhaul again.

THE pickup location was excellent. Your PROBLEMS are at the 800 customer svc location. The people aren't trained properly and I couldn't understand them on the phone.

I returned on time via self return. I followed the text link and instructions and this process did not work. Very frustrating!!! I called UHAUL and the reps. were no help and said that was my problem and I would have to go back and try again even though I was headed back home. I won't do that again!!! Bad UHAUL customer service over the phone and misinformation. I plan on trying another company for my next move.

I wouldn't recommend it because the truck needed to be swept out when I got it, so I used my own blanket to put down before putting my items inside. My daughter left about 15 playing cards in the Uhaul when we returned it and I was charged $35 additional for a cleaning fee!! That's soooo unfair and I'd like to request a refund.
