The interior of the truck was dirty. The seats had mud smears all over the center and passenger seats. The floor had mud all over on both drivers side and passenger's side. I cleaned up the seats and the passenger side floor before we returned it. The truck ran great and was very comfortable to drive.CHARLES L.
The first truck I picked up had loud exhaust, they told me to run it. I drove to has station, it was horrible, while putting $33.45 in gas in it, I looked underneath and saw catalytic converter had been cut out, part of the rebar cage cut out too. I took it back, saw the pieces of rebar cage on ground where it was parked. As I waited, they did go get another truck across town for me, which was nice, but it had just over 1/4 tank of gas: I returned to Ramer TN with over 3/4 tank, the lady there was nice. I would think Tatman's would at least check a truck before customer arrives, and not send the customer with a defective truck; however, they said they had checked truck night before, were it not for a thief overnight on their lot, it would have gone smooth with no delays- and they immediately located and retrieved another truck for me, tho caused me couple hours delay in loading. Still got it done, second truck was great, minor problem with trailer to truck connector, may be ok now, but reported problem at Ramer TN. Tho started problematic, overall trip went well. I will use Uhaul again, should need arise.Daniel B.
Trailer ball hitch was not tightened, discovered after I had loaded trailer and was getting on the road. Charged for Safe Tow after I had left the pick up location when I had declined. I had checked in online and prepaid but had to go inside location and stand around while he went through it all again. Not sure why you have on line check in for COVID 19 reasons then I still have to go inside.ROBERT D.
The only issue I had was the windshield was very dirty and I thought it was out of washer fluid. Because of the bright sun it was tenuous getting to a gas station to clean it. But I am happy with how things went. Truck performsed well.William M.
I really recommend the staff at the pickup location to not tell customers their tow setup is checked and ready to go without actually being 100% sure. The hitch to our 10 ft truck wasn't tightened and when I loaded the car onto the auto transport, the auto transport disconnected from the uhaul. Fortunately someone from Tatman's was there within 30 min, saw that the hitch was not tightened at all actually, reattached the auto transport and we were on our way. But imagine what a mess it would've been if it disconnected on the highway... About 24 hours into the drive I get a text from the pickup location asking me if I still needed the truck I was scheduled to pick up the day before. Pretty funny since we had made it from IL to UT by the time we got that text.Silvia B.

A minor data entry error was made during face-to-face 'registration,' and although the staff person made every effort to correct it (even calling her manager for assistance), she was unable to. As a consequence, I had to use the vehicle tow dolly without the insurance policy that I wanted. PLEASE MAKE YOUR SOFTWARE EDITABLE BY STAFF AT POINT OF SERVICE!!!Harold H.

This location was not ready for me when I arrived. They did not have the correct location for drop-off in their system and when I told them where I was planning to drop off the trailer, they said that I would be able to do this. What they did not mention is that the Danville, Ca location (which is on my receipt) does not accept the trailer that I had rented. This caused difficulties with dropping off the trailer and was very aggravating. Next, I had asked for 1 set of furniture pads. They thought I had ordered 2 sets. I corrected them and they told me they would make the correction. My receipt still said they gave me me 2 sets and the 1 set I did receive had bits of dried leaves on them. Then it was time to go out to the trailer. As I was backing my truck up to the trailer, I saw the employee pull wet blankets and towels from the trailer. I went back to inspect the trailer myself and it was wet, dirty and had a foul odor of mildew and mold. The employee said I should â€œlet it air out for the dayâ€. The problem was that I was picking this moving trailer up in the morning because I needed to load it that morning to begin my move. I told the employee that I needed to load the trailer that morning and she was unmoved and offered no apology or suggestions. I had to wipe down the entire trailer with Clorox spray and line the trailer with dryer sheets before I felt comfortable loading my belongings.James H.

Upon dropping off the trailer, I called Tatman's to let them know I was dropping off a uhaul trailer at their location. They didn't know anything about it and acted as if I was doing something wrong or stealing something by bringing it back. It was almost a bother I felt that I even called. I don't know if it was lack of communication between employees at Tatman's or lack of communication between Tatman's and Uhaul, but it was an all around bad experience from pick up to dropping it off.Benjamin S.

When I dropped off the truck I went two miles over estimated miles. My initial quoted charge that would've been submitted had I not said anything was double my total estimate. Luckily I had my paperwork on hand. After about a half hour the price went from double, down to $19 over the estimate Because I was being charged for moving blankets that I did not use From inside the truck. The guy from the company could not leave the office to verify that I had not used the blankets that were affixed inside the truck or get the mileage or count the blankets that I did rent and use. Finally the U-Haul representative called the company (tow truck company) back and they were working on resolving it to get the price up to the $1.58 extra for the 2 miles over the estimate rather than double the entire payment. Needless to say after a long night of moving that the return process was very frustrating. Other than the return process everything went smoothly.Mike C.

I reserved an appliance dolly and it was not on the truck. I was directed to go to another unable location to get one. I did not have time for that. I also reserved and was charged for 36 furniture pads, but there were only 4 on the truck. I demand that my bank account be credited for the $60 I paid for a service I did not receive! I will never do business with Tatman's Towing again. There's always some issue. Pay me my money!!!Robert S.

Tuck had bad brakes. Tatmans couldn't do anything. No one returned my calls. Uhaul roadside assistance was a joke. We had to drive it anyway and pay full price or run the risk of them taking more money from my account.elizabeth H.

I canceled my reservation, because Mr. Kelly Bohlen was rude in my intereactions with him. In asking why I had to pick up the equipment in 2 different locations instead of one, he said he couldnt' help me out and that 'most people are happy to have our truck even if doing this'. This is my favorite uhaul pickup in town. I rent a uhaul truck or trailer about 4 times a year and the Tatman's Towing location is vastly superior to the main uhaul location on University Ave (which is terrible) in terms of customer service. They're efficient and friendly.Christine J.

This site did not offer other moving necessities like an appliance dolly, boxes, blanket pads ect. Had to make a separate stop to get the extras needed. Main reason not to recommend to others when another location had all needed.Jacqueline B.

Usual directed me 15 miles away to a location which did not carry pads and dollies. I then had to go another 2 miles to a main Uhaul location to pick up pads and dollies. This took an hour because the Uhaul computer system was down and a long line developed (Champaign).Stephen D.

Woman working on weekends does not know policy nor good customer service. We chose this location over the main Champaign location because last time we needed to go back because they claimed we did not fill the tank -- and the same thing happened here. The woman asked us to fill our tank again, causing gas to spill onto the ground BECAUSE THE TANK WAS FULL. Very discouraging experience, we will not be going back to this location.Andrew D.
