Rear running light was out. Hitch was buried in a red ant pile. I had to clean off the mud and ants. The wire for the lights was too short so I had to buy an extension to reach the rear of my truck so the lights could work.patrick D.

The location where I arranged to pick-up the U-Haul was in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I had a logistics plan arranged and timings synchronized with two movers to assist me with large and heavy items. I received a text message on Friday night that the location where I was to pick-up the U-Haul was over an hour north of Tuscaloosa. I honestly thought it was a mistake. The U-Haul trailer that I was renting was a standard 5' x 8' trailer, and I reserved it two weeks prior to pick-up. This totally â€˜jacked-up' my scheduled timings and plans. The location and timing of notification on the pick-up site was absolutely unsatisfactory. Furthermore, it's impossible to speak to a customer service rep through calling. I'll look for other solutions next time. U-Haul is a terribly run business with antiquated and weak logistics processes.JOEL T.

I dropped on a Saturday when they were closed. Tried to use the 24/7 drop through the website. It could not find my location yet all my other apps know exactly where I was. Called U-haul customer service and spoke with James. Had to hold for 20 minutes to find out I needed to call 24/7 truck share line. Was transferred to this line and immediately got message they were closed to leave a message. I needed help as to what to do since Uhaul corporate system wasn't working. Still haven't gotten a call back. You have major issues with your corporate systems and customer service. The locations are good with good people and I have rented alot from Uhaul over the last several years. I see the steady decline in the customer experience. I will pay more to rent from someone else whenever possible.NOLEN S.

received no help from employees and equipment was in poor condition. initially made the reservation in columbus MS weeks prior. the day before my reservation i was told they did not have an auto transport for me and i would have to drive to vernon. very poor service overall and i will not be using u-haul in the future had no problems with the shalimar location.thomas C.

This rental experience was terrible. When I made the reservation, I picked the truck size we needed and the reservation said I could pick it up at Guin, which was only 10 minutes from Winfield. Great! I then received my confirmation which said I had to pick the truck up in Vernon. Keep in mind no one ever notified me of this change and if I had not read the confirmation carefully, I would not have known. Vernon is approximately 30 miles from the moving location. I called customer service about this thinking it was a mix up. The person at customer service said that was the closest place that had the size truck I needed. I asked if it could be delivered to the Guin location and she informed me, "That is not how we do things". When I arrive at Taylor Auto, in Vernon, to pick up the truck, it took the employee thirty minutes to complete whatever he had to put into the computer system. He asked about the appliance dolly I had reserved. I told yes, I reserved an appliance dolly. He then informs that he did not have one. I explained it was supposed to be reserved and he said "well, I don't have one, you can take that regular dolly over there or you can check with other U-Haul places to see if they have one. As anyone who has ever moved knows, moving day is not the day to try to round up equipment that was supposed to be reserved. The employer at Taylor Auto then could not find the location in the computer that is on my reservation to return the truck, so he changes it. He obviously did not know how to use the computer system, or he would have been able to find the return location that was on my reservation. The next problem was when we got in the truck to drive it, one tire rem was bent, the truck itself did not sit on the frame correctly. It looked like the truck was being driven side ways down the road. My father, who drove the truck, is a retired professional truck driver. If not for his experience, there is no way this truck could have been driving the six hours to Loxley, Alabama. That truck needs to be serviced or junked. The next problem came when the helpers we reserved to load the truck did not show up. I spoke with Lonnie from Professional Moving multiple times before moving day. That morning about 9:00 a.m. Lonnie called to say they would have to put off the moving time from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. because of thunderstorms. I told him it was raining but no thunder. He said he would start the guys my way, and then see how the weather was when they arrived. At 10:30, I called him back to tell him the workers had never arrived. He said he would call them to see where they were. He never called back, and in fact when I tried to call him back he would never answer the phone. I contacted U-Haul Customer Service about the problem. She tried to call him also, but he would not answer the phone for her either. She then found another moving company that had workers available. They had to come out of Birmingham so she told me it would be approximately anCarol B.

The 15 foot truck I reserved 2 weeks ahead of time was not there like I was told it would be. Uhaul switched my reservation to a 36 foot truck in another town. Had to settle for a 10 foot truck at the original pickup site. I will never use U haul again.Lynn G.

Need better coordination between u haul sheduling and local offices. I originally scheduled a pickup in Tuscaloosa, AL. Ariving driving an hour to get there, I find out the trailer is not scheduled to be dropped off for another 3 hours. This guy at this uhaul location in vernon al was racist, he called me a n*****, and told me that he was not responsible to help un load the trailor, and this was the wrong trailor,I asked him to contact the vernon al police because he was very mean, but he refused to call for he, the guy at the vernon al location also told me that the uhaul store at his location was not important to him because he didn't make much money doing it! Had to travel 50 miles from original pick up point because of a mistake made by UHaul rep. I had no choice, I had to get the trailer. Called the UHaul rep at new pick up location said had it and ready to go. Once I got there, trailer had a flat when I arrived to pick it up. Had to wait an hour to get flat fixed. The overall experience was very bad. The original location I was directed to was not the right pick up location. Neither location had the right trailer (5X9) and I came to find out that there was not one of these trailers anywhere in the city of Columbus. I had to drive from Columbus MS to Vernon, AL to get the trailer. It was a goat rope all morning and you need to do something to know where your trailers are and when they are available. need to check fuel gauges in vehicles// i put in $30 worth of fuel in the vehicle before i turned it in// i turned the vehicle in after closing hours of the business that had the drop box// i double checked the fuel gauge to make sure i had it on exactly the point that i received it prior that day which was exactly 1 tick mark above 1/2 tank// it was correct// the next day i went to get my deposit back and i was informed that i did not have enough fuel and he handed the key back to me to get the fuel or it will take $50 from my deposit// as i got back into the vehicle the gauge read exactly where it was needed to be// i went and put $20 into the tank and the gauge read nearly 3/4 tank afterwards// so i think i got screwed out of an extra $20 or the guy was too blind// i chose not to argue with the man because i wanted my money back asap// he told me that this happens all the time// so something needs to be fixed// i ended up spending $50 in fuel to go 49 miles// // here gas is $3.47 gal and i know if your truck gets 8 miles a gallon i would only have to put in $28.56// to be honest i will not be getting another uhaul if i need to move anything// i will not put in any more fuel than what i used in the vehicle// i fulfilled my contract to pay for the rental and return of the fuel// The service location where i picked up the vehicle was excellent, but the person at location that i dropped it off made me feel like i had to squeeze my last dime to get a majority of my deposit back// even tho its only $20, its $20 that i didnt have to take out of my deposit to keep from having to pay $50// i would like to see my $20 back but i know the company is too rich to give it back because what can i do over $20 but let you take it? it will cost me more than that to hire a lawyer and if this happens to a thousand customers a month then thats $20,000 worth of fuel that you guys get// so please if you do look into this issue then i want to see some feedback// other than that im not going to rent anything else from uhaul or recommend anyone to uhaul// The person who i turned the uhaul in needs to be investigated or there is some jacked up policy that he has to abide to receive any payment for his serviceLilly C.
