I had a wonderful experience. We did this literally last minute because of the coronavirus lockdown. The man inside was nice and helpful and he made sure everything was sanitized and safe. He wore gloves and sanitized my i.d./debit card and even sanitized the doorknob when I left. Every business should follow what this Uhaul location is doing. Better safe than sorry. I will highly recommend this location. THANK YOU.

I don’t know if it was the corona scare or if the owner was just uptight that I was there. We called to get a truck but they didn’t tell us their Corona procedures. When I arrived the owner barked at me to stay back ,get in my car and call on my cell. Make a sign or tell people over the phone.

Fix your app and work on customer service. One employee told that the reason my app didn't work was due to my user error and there was no way to fix it. I then called corporate who confirmed that the previous person who blamed it on me screwed everything up. Also, DON'T LET SOMEONE ORDER A TRUCK THAT WAS NEVER EVEN AT THE PICKUP LOCATION.

No one on site. Crowded parking lot with nowhere to park trailer when we dropped it off. Have to park trucks yourself way down the street and walk back to drop off keys. There are other locations in Joliet.

Had a problem locating keys. Got the tune around on the phone from uhual for over an hour. Ended up having to come back the next morning and interact with the business owner. He was very rude to the customers ahead of me as well as myself. Extremely unprofessional behavior.

I was redirected to this location out of a huge inconvenience to me notified that I had to return the vehicle back to this location they were very unaccomadating considering I didnt make my reservation with them very unproffesional will be calling corporate

Your mobile way just wasn't time effective! I lost one hour of my day with problems from the app. I had to call and ask for the later return, it should have been offered to me when I talked with the reps! I probably would have a positive veiw about my experience! I will find a different way next time! The dealer at new Lenox IL, ( Ted's custom's ) is a very rude dealer to be in business with customers with uhaul! My opinion! I'm sure it don't matter and that's a shame.

I called the night before to verify my reservation and the man was very short with me, stating “verified” and hanging up on me. The day of, the key was not in the key box. I waited 30 minutes until someone showed up. I have never been treated so rudely as a customer. No apology given for the inconvenience. I would not have given my business to this company if I wasn’t having to be moved out today.

I reserved a trailer the U-Haul on route 30 and went by a couple days later to confirm with them my arrival the following Tuesday. I show up on Tuesday and there's no trailer because you rented it to somebody else. Now I have to go to another guy to get what I need?Inconveniencing the customer because it's more convenient for you is not a good way to build customer loyalty. I would rent from anybody else but you after this experience.

It would’ve been very helpful if I would’ve have to been told to download the app because I was renting Mobiley on a day when the business was closed. I lost an hour of my rental time trying to figure out how to get the key for the truck.

My experience with this location was horrible. The truck leaked oil all over my brand new driveway, the company did not provide me with my dolly or furniture blankets. On top of that, I called the company and left a voicemail requesting assistance when they forgot my items, and no one returned my call. Will never use this facility again. Horrible experience.

This does not reflect on this location but Uhaul's app experience in genreal. I ordered a 10' truck and that is what my confirmation email states. when I got there despite having a 10' truck available the app sent me to a 20' truck and billed me that rate. The app during self checkout allowed me to attach one photo then refused to attach any other photos. This is on a samsung s9+ so not a low quality device. Obviously you can't continue until you attach the right amount of photos. When I couldn't proceed any further I had to back out of the app and restart. At this point the app simply said my rental had started. I didn't have the opportunity to go back in and document the damage that was not X'ed on the truck or the dirt in the cargo area. I took a bunch of pictures for my own safety and started my rental. The equipment ran fine and the app held up better on the return allowing pictures to be posted like they should be. When it came time to finish the return the instructions of where to leave the keys came up then the app performed a "pop-over" survey about how the experience was. Cancelling the ridiculously timed survey to see where to put the keys closed out the screen entirely. There is no way to go back in and see the screen that was obscured because of the survey. I found a key drop box on the building and placed them in there because I had no other option at that point. Once again this rental location is easy to get in and out of and performed well it is the Uhaul app experience that leaves a lot to be desired. Also why was I put in a 20' truck?

I understand a rental truck with 160000+ miles is not new but there was some shaking in the front end and there was a distinct smell of something burning From under the truck when I reached my destination. The vehicle I rented is most likely due for a maintenance inspection. Overall service was superb and professional and the entire rental experience was great. Thank you

Please improve on customer service. The attitude we recieved from a gentlemen by simply calling to ensure our truck was indeed available for pick up was uncalled for especially since renting a uhaul was a new experience for both my husband and I. I understand working can indeed be stressful but it is unnecessary to show this side to customers. Aside from customer service, the truck was in great condition and the prompts on my to pick up the truck were very straightforward and easy to follow.

I picked up the trailer on a Sunday - they only had someone who works Sundays. She was as helpful as she could be, but it seemed lacking. Further, we had to hook up the trailer ourselves and it was simply laying on the ground -- thank goodness I was strong enough to pick it up. There was no prior warning about the self-service aspect that I can recall. Lastly, the trailer was locked and no one had a key. This should have been discovered before we had to pick it up and added a significant delay.

The u-haul dealer was very rude and had no customer service skills what so every. According to the dealer the u-haul computer site kept crashing and he no other solution but to contact u-haul direct. We had pre-ordered a 26 ft truck but he says that we ordered a 17 ft even though I should him the online confirmation. Once we contacted you directly they were very accommodating to help refund some money for the mistake.

Teds is terrible. First of all, he made me come pick up the rental 2 and half hours earlier because he had a personal appointment. This was a BIG inconvenience. He did NOTHING to accomodate a customer!! Then wastes more of my time, for check in, saying he could not find my reservation. And does not apologize for the inconvenience of taking more of my time for an error on his part of overlooking my reservation. His employee gives me the paperwork and a key. He does not show me the inside or outside of uhaul , nor does a checklist of the damages or condition of the uhaul. Upon returning the uhaul, I dropped the key in the dropbox. I have my college friend , who is a professional/ machinist, who can verify as he helped me move for 2 days. Ted and his coworker stalk call me saying a LIE I did not drop the key off and he saw myself and my girlfriend pull away on video. UNREAL the DISHONESTY by Ted. I was with my guy friend not girlfriend, so clearly he is watching the wrong video!!! I called him back to leave a message with details what I was wearing, time key dropped in drop box and he needed to re look at his videos!!! He is unprofessional from the beginning to end for rental of uhaul and a LIAR too. I will seek LEGAL council as I am not paying for a key, that i 100% dropped in the dropbox!!! Awful experience with Teds. Do not rent here!!!!

When I booked my truck I was told everything was all set for a one way. I then recieved a phone call telling me something totally different. This was a big inconvenience the day of rental and drop off. Where I picked up my U Haul the guy at the counter was not very helpful. Never gave me any info with out asking. I will search for other opportunities next time .

Tried picking up the trailer in Mokena, found out that no one was there. I called Tedds and he transferred my reservation to his place. He gave us a discount for our troubles, and upsized our trailer to a 5x8. He was awesome, and went above and beyond for us. We can't thank Tedds enough.

Very unfriendly, Border line rude. Felt like it was an inconvenience to the clerk that I wanted to rent a trailer. Seemed more interested in his other business. 15 minutes waiting on bad customer service is not how I like to spend my morning. Threatened to charge an additional $150 to my credit card because I didn’t return the trailer to his out of the way location.

I was charged for an appliance dolly that I requested but did not receive. we were not able to move some things that we had planned on moving because of this, which is a true inconvenience. I clicked on the box disagreeing with the charges, was told I would get a call back but have not received one. I will not return to this location.

Awful customer service. No information, no pre-inspection. Lied about gas level, then charged a surcharge when returned at the same level (4 gallons for 36 miles in an empty truck isn't enough?!). AVOID!

App took 24 hours to show my rental. rental had to be moved from original location due to the vehicle i rented being rented to someone else. Uhaul did NOT inform me of location change. I had to hunt down a new location on my own. New location was excellent but Uhaul needs to step up their game when something changes.

Had to scrape all of the ice off the van. Both steer tires low. Set up for 0900 but could not get into place until 0915. Could not find keys. With all of this it put me over 4 hours so I was charged for the whole day!! Not right.
