U-Haul you’re terrible to use, i wish I had other options and I don’t! Book my reservation with around 30-40 miles round trip and you automatically make me pay for 100miles up front and I’d be reimbursed on what I don’t use! How bout I just pay you for what I use! No where does it say that there is a minimum of 100miles!

Truck was a day late bring so I lost a day in moving and a day of work. Was rough starting in the cold weather. No lights were left on. Battery had to be jumped twice. It just went dead. Called rental store after first jump. Was told to call back if it happened again. I did and phone was always busy.

I had the worst experience ever. I was charge for the equipment that I didn't receive! I tried calling several time and he finally picked up, said he was going to reimburse the amount but never did. Now I'm going through my bank and trying to get my $129 dollars that I was overcharged back! He was so rude and unprofessional to the Rental drop off representative as well.. .Such a unprofessional location and I will never use this place again.... Such a headache!

The mobile option is ridiculous . A passport? Seriously? If you have to deal with someone anyway, it means you will need to wait in line, anyway. The express checkin is a way better option and faster.

The customer service and attitudes of the employees at this location was unbelievable. They insisted they did not open until 9a (I had signed up for a 8:30a pickup) despite the hours posted on uhaul.com, google.com, and the sign behind their own counter. The two gentlemen working there must not like renting out uhauls because they made it very apparent we were an inconvenience to them. I would not recommend them to anyone. Moving is already stressful - it does not help when people that are supposed to help make the process simple and easy are in fact difficult and rude.

I booked my reservation a couple weeks ago and the day before I see on the app that the closest location was Alsip for a 26 ft truck The location I reserved didn't have one. I called Tedd's and he had one sitting there. Why didn't the app tell me to go there instead of a place 45 minutes away? NOT ACCEPTABLE! I called several times, once being on hold for over 25 minutes. Your customer service is awful. Tedd told me the upper manager was on vacation for 2 weeks and no one does anything when he's not there. The other location told me the same thing. This is how you do business? Will never use U-Haul again.

I am surprised that this location is still allowed to distribute rentals after reading various reviews online that mirror my own. I reserved the rental using the online services. I specifically chose this location because of the hours of operation. I made the reservation on August 3, 2018. I received a phone call on August 8, 2018, from the location confirming the reservation. The owner, Tedd, said that hours listed online are incorrect (8 am) and that he actually opens at 10 am. He said that it's U-Haul's fault for not listing the correct time and not his. I rearranged my schedule and had to ask others (family and friends who offered to help) to rearrange theirs as well because of the change in time. The day of the reservation August 12, 2018, Tedd calls at 8:53 and asks if we are going to show up or not. I said that would be there at 10 when he opened. He then started to raise his voice and say that he opens at 9, and not 10. I explained that I received a call from him earlier in the week and he said 10. He started to argue that he did not call, that it was an 800 number from U-Haul. However, I know I spoke with him previously because he introduced himself as Tedd and it was the same phone number as the one that was on my recent calls from August 8. I understand that mistakes happen and that it wasn't worth pushing, but he started to get combative, arguing that it was not his fault. I was not about to get in a shouting match and said that we would be there after my husband returned from dropping our son off at a family member's house. We specifically arranged our schedule based on the time given earlier in the week, so we were unable to pick up the rental in the 7 minutes before 9 am. He was more interested in arguing and blaming the mix-up on U-Haul than taking ownership for his own mistake. Fast forward to about 9:39, and he calls again asking if we're going to show up at all. My husband just returned from dropping off our kid, and we were on our way out the door. My husband, who answered the phone, attempted to explain again that we planned on coming at 10, and were unable to get there any earlier, and he AGAIN started to raise his voice on the phone saying that it was U-Haul's 800 number's fault for the mix-up and not his. We were not placing blame, just trying to let him know that we were unable to get there any faster even though we were trying. He then told my husband that I said that we would be there at 9. I NEVER said that. He called 7 minutes before 9 earlier that morning. There was no possible way we could have made it in that time. I told him that I was waiting for my husband to come back home and then we would be on our way. On our way to the site, my husband and discussed how we would be polite and professional with him despite our frustrations. It wasn't worth getting upset over. When we arrived at five to 10am, he came across as curt and disinterested in helping us. We also rented 5 blankets and a dolly for our move. He pointed

We were there for an hour trying to get the app to work. The pick up location had all doors licked and wouldn't let us in. When I called the location number, he gave me another number to call instead of helping us ourselves.
