Ted was the biggest asshole. He called me up screaming at me telling me I stole his trailer and he was calling the police.. I filled out rental form online and paid for itâ€¦ he had my phone number and name to call me up and yell. He then charged me the extra insurance, without my permission.Brittany K.
When I returned the truck the owner was not very helpful with the return process. When I asked for help he said he did not know how it worked. I stood there working on it for 20 minutes as he locked up and went to lunch.ROBERT V.

I rented a cargo trailer, expecting everything to stay dry, since I was moving a 1 bedroom apartment from N.J. to IL. Well this trailer leaked badly. Our stuff got wet, I do have pictures of the water running and dripping inside the trailer the floor of the trailer was soaked. Truck leaked all over my belongings. I told the man that checked the truck and he could have cared less. It states everywhere it has 24 hour service on the internet yet when you call they say they can't help you and to come tomorrow at 8:30. When I called he just ended the conversation by talking to someone else at his location then hanging up me.Debra G.

Office was closed when I arrived at 3:15 for 3:30 pickup on an online reservation. Info on door said close at 5:30. Nobody present. When I did reach someone after 5-6 calls he begrudgingly told me he would be back and doubted that I had a reservation. Quote for rental online was $54, they told me that policy disallowed them to rent car carrier round trip, that I had to rent one-way and would be $105 plus over $60.00 for a fee they could not explain. Told me rental would be $186.00 total. When I disagreed and started questioning further the fee suddenly came back down to $54 less $8 for insurance. Felt they were attempting to overcharge me because I needed the trailer desperately at that point and had no alternative. Very poor customer contact and relations. Will never even consider this office again. Second customer who was present and heard the whole conversation also said he will never return.Timothy E.

Trailer needed new tires. They were dry rotted. Owner reiterated to me six times to park it in the spot I pulled it out of when I bring it back. All of the spots were filled so I parked it in front of where it was to be parked. He made a big deal about it. If he didn't have so many junk vehicles laying around I could have parked it in a spot.DOUGLAS B.

The trailer I paid for was buried in snow. They gave me a slightly bigger trailer for same price but it was completely full of snow. I had to spend 30 min cleaning it out to use. Rude guy helped.Robert H.

I did everything on line before I went to pick up. I received an email saying the truck is ready. I went there and I had to go through even more steps. Finally I got my code to the key box but the key wasn't in it. After waiting longer and making a few calls a guy came out with the key. It was cold out so I was in my car warming up when a guy came out yelling at my with the key. I guess I inconvenienced him. Poor service.Michael W.

Presumed owner/manager of the location was very rude. Loudly talking/borderline yelling at employees and customers. The truck was covered in snow so I asked for a snow brush to clean it off. He instructed someone to show me how to use the windshield wipers, because obviously as a woman, I probably don't know how windshield wipers work.Lindzay S.

The man was a bit rude and snappy. I also had to help him pull a trailer out of the way by hand to get to the trailer that was assigned to me. Before he helped me peel the tongue of my trailer out of the frozen ground he decided to move a few random trucks around across the street while i was standing there after we walked outside to get my trailer. I told him that he didnt need to move those on my account and he said "i didnt". Which i thought was pretty ignorant to do while im standing there to get my rental. So i asked for a hand with the trailer and he said sorry its required that you hook it up yourself, and then i said well can you give me a hand pulling it to my truck and he was just standing there...so i snapped at him and said c'mon dude i got places to go can you give me a hand or what..and he finally helped...bad experience, next time i'll use a different rental company.Todd H.

The manager was rude and insulting to my wife who dropped off the tow dolly. He refused to help her unhook the dolly. He is overweight and lazy. He does not represent Uhaul well at all. Bobby, the other worker there was very helpful and polite. Unfortunately. I would never rent from this location again and I would never recommend this location to anyone for anything. As a matter of fact, my wife will be going on yelp to let everyone know not to rent anything from this location.Jack F.

The location agent did not go over the vehicle with me it had some misc .trash inside so I left in there and I got a charge for cleaning thats wrong. I do know you will say its my fault for notifying at pickup but with covid I didn't open the door till I had it home. And what the hell is a environmental charge. I think ill be looking for other companies to rent fromjohn O.

The most rude staff I've probably ever encountered. Any question seemed a bother to them. Would not recommend this location to anyone. I used this location a couple years back and had the same experience. I figured I'd give them a second chance considering they are the closest to me and not a thing has changed. UHaul should be ashamed of this location. Please someone step in and do a formal audit of their operations. From the ignorance of the staff, to the truck with 155,000 miles feeling like it was going to come apart, It could not have been a poorer example.Brian J.

I will never utilize this location again. The man at the store was rude, condescending, and very unprofessional. My 7 and 9 year old daughters even made a comment to me when we left to store to say that they were really uncomfortable, and never saw anyone act like that in a store. Upon returning the trailer, I was overcharged from the original agreed upon price. I called the store to let them know, they said they'd fix it right away and still haven't seen the corrected invoice. Very disappointed in the experience, and much different than my rental experience the week prior at another location. I will not be coming back.Nicholas N.

The guy there was not helpful and pretty rude. I paid all the missed tolls and gave you proof and you still charged me. I payed twice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is crazy and no one has bothered to respond to any of my emails. This was a total scam. I believe you don't remind people to grab their transponders on purpose. I secured a truck at a close location. The night before the rental, I received an email stating that I need to go to a different location. Which was over 10 miles away. I am very disappointed in this management decision. When someone rents a truck from a certain location, that is where they should be. This changed my overall time and money spent.Ronald F.

I have done business getting U-Haul trucks from Ted's and this time was no different. Very clean, safe (covid-19 was adhered to with masks and social distancing) and excellent staff. Everyone was pleasant. Some communication issues. First call asked about 10ft box with a ramp . Told computers down. 29.95 price. Called back different day. Picked up truck no ramp. Called back hour or so later. Told just bring it back . Ten dollars more. Well that wAs the issue. Again all employees pleasant. Was recharged for bigger truck full price. Asked why full price. Then told had to have it back within the first hour. It would of been nice to have been told that when I called. So thirty dollars more for something that I ordered from the beginning.
