As I said previously on my other two rentals that I had, it's not the location. It is the actual U-Haul company.. Their computer system is always down, always having problems! People using those programs are not properly trained. The U-Haul support lines are always busy and there's a lengthy wait whether you are a dealer or a customer. When you're renting a truck, you're usually moving and who has two or three hours to sit around wasting time while the dealers are talking to customer service? I ended up having to rent three pieces of equipment from U-Haul instead of one truck. It ended up costing me a lot of time and a lot of money.
Kelli DI had reserved a 26 foot truck, 3 weeks before it was needed. It was to be picked up at 8:30 AM on a Tuesday morning. I received a phone call at 2:30 on Monday saying that I couldn't get the truck in the location where I live and would have to drive three hours to pick up the truck that I needed. Then drive three hours back and then drive another three hours to my new home. then, with the help of someone from customer service, we went with a smaller truck and a trailer that was only an hour drive away. But both truck and trailer were at different locations.. I went at 9:30 AM to pick up the trailer, and was told the person wouldn't be in until 10. I came back at 10 and apparently the person wouldn't be in until 1030. I came back at 10:30 to get the trailer. The person was there but the size of trailer that was booked was wrong. Took the small trailer anyway because I didn't have much of a choice. They had computer problems and then I had to pay cash as apparently the system would not work for anything else. I then drove an hour to pick up the truck, they were having computer issues from the start and it took well over an hour to get it sorted out. So for a move that should've started at 10 AM, it started at 3 PM!

Ina MHinton was a good all around customer service and everything. It was U-Haul over all that is terrible. The trailer I requested was not available on pick up so they gave me a free upgrade which was awesome but then the upgraded trailer never showed up. I was supposed to pick up the trailer in Edson then had to drive to Hinton which is a 2 hour round trip. Then I decided that the original trailer was not going to be big enough and they made me pay full price for the upgrade that they already tried to give me for free. Plus the gas to travel and great their trailer. Plus 2 tries were bald had to wait for them to be replaced in our travels.

Amanda FI had a reservation at one location for a cargo trailer and the pickup location was moved to two hours away from the original. I had to reserve a second, smaller trailer at a different location and was only able to pick it up 2 days later than my original reservation date. This put my entire move behind schedule, creating hazardous conditions and loss of pay. My trust in the reservation system is very low.
Chad ACustomer service needs to be improved. Staff needs to be trained with giving back refunds on UHaul mileage and gas issues. I payed an extra $75 in gas which I never used which I want to be refunded and mileage was well below the estimated amount, which I want to be refunded for. Jonathan
Jonathan MThe uhaul site does not give the correct directions. It brought us to a dead end street nowhere near the location. I had to look it up on Google to find it.
Shari JTrailer tail lights stopped working, had to park for night to avoid unnecessary traffic violations. Improve trailer wiring from lounge of trailer.

Maurice PThe assistantance on the phone was helpful but overall between the staff or management not much communication to each orher. The key that we got wasn’t place on the instruction. The person on the phone we’ll assisted us but he is not advice where the actual key was. We got the key on the otherbox/compartment which the person on the phone was not aware.

Barbara lThe 24/7 mobile pickup was a terrible experience. It took about 40 minutes and I often was left in the dark. The worst part was having to put a contact to call to confirm my identity. This was pointless and having had no warning for this was I wasn't able to warn my contact ahead of time. Since I was using the mobile pickup, this is obviously after hours and a terrible time to have to call someone. In addition, the truck I picked up was pulled in forward with a trailer still behind it. It was a larger flatbed trailer for a vehicle. It was difficult to maneuver around this trailer and something that could have been remedied beforehand.

Brad HWould like to see weekend hours. Dropped off on a Sunday so there were no personal to provide any assistance. I would have preferred for a not applicable option for "Were the personnel helpful" as I did a self service drop off. Then again they are not open on weekends so No does fit the best with options available.

Wesley BCouldn't get the size of trailer I wanted and that made the move incredibly hard. The trailer that I used was in fine enough shape but the added stress of not getting the equipment I needed when moving cities was deeply unpleasant

Keaton WThe trailer wasn't available for the time I reserved it for. It was supposed to have been returned 4 hours before I was to pick it up. I did not receive any notice that the trailer was not available until I arrived after driving an hour to pick it up. I had to cancel hotels and appointments. The trailer arrived the next day. I had to find a different hotel and couldn't reschedule all of my appointments. I was told the previous day that I would only be charged for 1 day for the inconvenience, but was still charged for two days.

Dennis KThe pickup location in Hinton does not check the equipment before its going out to the next person. I went to pickup my truck and car hauler only to find there was a ramp missing on the car hauler. The next day had to drive from Hinton to Edson to get another car hauler. I was reimbursed for the gas but nothing for my time.

Ken MHad a hard time getting my truck running in -40 degree weather I called 20 mins before my pickup time and asked if I could pick it up 10 mins later then scheduled. It was met by a very rude response ( no you have to pick it up at your schedule time) so I proceeded to the u haul any ways my reservation was for 3:15 pm I showed up at 3:34 and was told I was 5 mins late and there is nothing they can do for. When I got angry and expressed my anger the store clerk smiled and laughed and said it was not her problem it was mine. I would not recommend this branch to anyone as a matter of fact instead of waiting until the morning I drove 2 hours to the nearest u-haul and rented from them instead. This all happened on a Friday when Monday came around I got a receipt from this branch stating I have an open rental that I’m being charged for but his branch is crooked. And they try to rip you off the owner is the biggest a hole I have ever seen in my lifetime. This branch should be shut down and the owner should be paying me for the inconvenience I was caused

Denis LIt would be nice if this U-Haul location would be open more hours. Currently the location is open 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday. The clerk that helped us hook up the trailer was friendly. Great service.
Joanne WWhen I called the location in Hinton in regards to dropping off the trailer, the man on the phone told me they were closed and I had to drop it off two days after the original drop off date/time. I call U-haul directly and the told me to drop it off there anyway. I dropped it off and it was in a non gated lot and very easy to park, no one from the store came out so I’m just followed the steps on the link that was sent to me by a u-haul representative.
