I attempted to call to confirm the uhaul changes to my reservation, as advised in a text from uhaul. I called multiple times with no answer and the voicemail box full. I called uhaul to advise and was not listened to. After driving 40 minutes to get there, I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me. The store was empty. The staff arrived, got the contract and took payment. He did not come out to walk around the trailer or help us connect. We had to go back inside and wait for him because there was no wiring to connect the trailer lights to our van. All and all I am a very upset customer with this whole reservation.Jennifer C.

Do not have somebody request a location or ask a customer what time do they want to pick up the truck or equipment and then change it completely in have a customer drive 40 miles outside of their home To pick up the equipmentjAIME C.

The place was fine. Not as clean as a UHaul location, but it wasn't as terrifying as people made out in the reviews. The owner didn't answer the phone the day before because "he didn't recognize our number". I do that, but as a business, you can't take that luxury. I ended up stuck with the wrong truck at the last minute. He was polite however. The location was fine. I'm not pleased with UHaul's shenanigans with our "guaranteed" truck. I selected a truck 45 minutes away for that guarantee and it wasn't available. And the woman on the phone was useless repeating the same thing repeatedly that made no sense and her discount price wasn't accurate. Not very please with our experience overall.Theresa B.

We were supposed to drop this truck in Prosser, WA. I then received a call that we had to return the truck to Sunnyside, WA, this caused our mileage to go over the allotted amount, that is not Teto's fault but Uhaul. It also took us out of our way to return it.Kimberly P.

Very poor experience! I was forced to drive over 110 miles to pick up and drop off the 15' UHaul truck. The company "gave" me an additional 50 mile mileage allowance BUT I had to pay the cost of the fuel to pick it up! Not acceptable. Then when I didn't fill the tank to exactly the line on the fuel gauge, they had the nerve to ding me an additional $10+! Not acceptable.Carol J.

Felt VERY unsafe, equipment being rented out of a sketchy audio buisness/taco joint . Fortunately I was well armed, but it still left me very uneasy: I would never want to return to this area again. The equipment was stored in an overgrown field that I was required to drive through to pick up, but before I could even do that, private vehicles had to be moved to gain access. The whole experience felt like a shady drug deal/illegal activity.MICHAEL W.

Online and on door it says it opens at 10 am. The open sign was on but no one showed till 10:30am. Called customer service and talked to a lady to see if we could drop off without paying the extra fee. Then the guy showed up and said he doesnt open till 10:30 and he personally doesnt charge the after hours fee. Alot of BS from both branches.Chase M.

My original Drop location, as selected from the U Haul site stopped accepting U Haul on 7/1. They would not accept the truck. I had to take the truck to another location 1 hour away. The new drop location was in an area of Sunny-side where all the doors and windows had bars. Also the Phone app sucked. After completing the step by step process I got a message that the transaction reported and error. I had to re-do the entry 3 times. After 45 minutes I called customer service and was told that the original transaction submit was accepted. totally a PITA.Brad B.

My experience with uhaul was less than pleasing. I was told that my reservation was approved and a truck would be there by my moving day and then the day before I was told there were no trucks and I had to drive 40 miles with a way larger truck than I was expecting. And the truck had two flat tires and it was extremely hard to drive. The uhaul employees at Sunnyside were nice and helpful, I had no problem with them. but I was charged more than original, even thought the employee on the phone told me I'd get the same price with more miles. It was just a frustrating experience on top of moving stresses.Jackson R.
First I was charged the insurance fee of $25 when I clearly marked the box NO, manager WOULD NOT remove the charge, told me to take it up with drop off site who of course said they could not and it should have been done at time of pick up! What I would recommend it's when I booked a truck and car hauler dolly did they be in one location I had to go quite a ways out of my way to get the dolly and the truck and then go back to where I needed to be Also I did not receive proper emails for confirmation payment that I could print off( that I needed for my taxes. ) ??Heather M.

I asked for an appliance hand cart, got charged for it and only got the standard hand cart. Not the fault of this location, but the people I spoke with on the phone still charged me for the more expensive hand cart. The guy drove the truck from out back (looked like a pasture) to the front, the front driver tire was half flat and so I got him and he took it to get air in it, he said he took it to a tire place to have it checked, BULL SHIT. he wasn't gone long enough for that. He didn't get any idea from me or my son who was going to drive it 1,500 miles. He didn't do a inspection, he said you pay for insurance we don't need to do an inspection. This person should be investigated for not meeting U-Haul protocol and I think he shouldn't be allowed to have a contract.Sandi R.

I've rented this trailer before at other locations and no problems. When went here he had no extension for the light hookup. Normally it's on the trailer. And he also doesn't bother helping you hook up the trailer. I had to go to a hardware store and by the pigtail for the lights. A terrible place to rent.Luis S.

I registered with the Yakima office 10 days prior to when I needed the trailer. I even confirmed the day before I was to pick the trailer up and set up everything. I arrived on the morning appointed to pick the trailer up only to be told the trailer needed some tires. I said ok how long will this take, I have a small crew hired to load the trailer and the clock was ticking on this crew. The Yakima UHaul told me they didn't have tires for the trailer and I was out of luck. They did tell me the closest trailer I could take was 50 miles away and if I wanted to I could go get it!! No mention of inconvenience, no offer to bring the trailer to me, no offer of an adjustment in the rental price to compensate me for the crew wages I lost or 100 miles worth of fuel to retrieve THEIR equipment. Didn't even give me an "I'm sorry". I suggested a discount and the girl at the counter told me I'd have to call some 800 number and try. Uhaul's poor coordination and shoddy equipment cost me an extra $170 in lost wages and fuel costs. Rent from someone other than UHaul if you can. They really don't give a damn.mike W.

The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that the key drop box wasn't readily visible/apparent so perhaps add a big sign that tells customers where to drop the key. :)neil F.

The owner of this location was rude. He charged me $20.00 cash for an electrical connection for the 5 feet X 9 feet open bed trailer with a ramp. He refused to provide me with a receipt for the electrical connection. He also tried to limit me to two days to trave from Sunnyside, Washington State to Tacoma, Washington State. The Spokane, Washington Uhaul District Office for Eastern, Washington corrected the erroneous two day contract to the proper contract of 7 days.JAMES N.

The man was very rude. When we picked up the tow, we wanted to pay cash. We paid cash and a deposit. The man said to us that maybe he would give us back some of our deposit. Key word being maybe. When we returned it he said to go back the next day to pick up some of the deposit maybe $10 or $15 dollars. Our deposit was $25 dollars. Very unprofessional and rude. He did not provide a receipt. The tow was damaged in multiple places. When my father told him he said don't worry your daughters insurance will pay for it. The tow was already damaged when we picked it up. Some of the lights did not work. If there was a rating of no stars I would give him NO stars. Never going back to him and I will tell everyone I know not to go to him. I was born and raised in Sunnyside WA and my parents own two businesses in town we know lots of people. We have used Uhaul a lot to move stuff in town always used a different location and they are always very nice. They every know us by name. Uhaul should look into this man and make him fix his equipment.maria R.

The individual there had no interest in helping us. He was continually on his phone. He knew little about the u-hauls and when asked about a Dolly he didn't even know what it was. (They didn't have any available either). When we went to pay cash for the U-Haul he didn't even have change to complete the transaction. In the frustration we decided to just take the U-Haul since we were already running behind.Paula S.

Due to the pouring rain, we had to unload the truck before 8an the morning of the truck return. We returned a round trip 26 foot truck 20 minutes late and were charged for another days rental. Although we have used U-Haul many times over the years, we probably won't use this company again. The office was very cramped with cloth tacked over both small windows, sort of like being in a cave.LAWRENCE W.
