We reserved a 20 ft truck and tow dolly from one location but they were unable to have the truck and dolly at the same location. Our reservation was at 8 and we confirmed days prior and received an email stating our truck would be ready at 8 am. We arrived at 8 and the office was closed with no one inside. We called the listed number and could not reach anyone. This went on for 20 minutes until a separate employee arrived at the office attached to the pick up location. That employee then served as the messenger as the pick up location owner never contacted me directly. After being informed that he “may be there in an hour” I contacted U-Haul. They informed me of the 24/7 pick up option (which I wish I was aware of sooner). I was able to get the keys for the truck then and inspect the vehicle. The cab was left dirty from the previous users and only had a half tank of fuel. The requested furniture mats were also missing. I then had to rush to the other U-Haul pick up location for the dolly. This whole process took over an hour and 30 minutes. Very frustrating beginning to an already stressful situation of moving. The U-Haul “area manager” sent me an automated text message of a $50 refund on our almost $2000 rental. They didn’t even have the decency to call me and hear me out and see how to make things right and prevent similar situations in the future. If this is how they treat their customers, we will not be utilizing their services going forward.

I did not have any of the appliance rentals that I paid for. When I unlocked the box with the keys they were missing! Then I had to drive a different sized truck than I requested. Very lousy service do not recommend
