The roll up door was hard to pull up - tended to stick about 6" above the fully closed position. Staff were not helpful. They did not review the vehicle with me and instead complained they had been having a bad day. They had a poor attitude. Though I had reserved a vehicle 5 weeks in advance, it was not available on the day reserved so I was directed to drive 2.5 hours round trip to this location to get the vehicle. I was promised I would be compensated for this (reduced rate), but instead had to pay the added fuel costs for the trip to this distant and unfriendly location. Worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul. All other experiences at other locations have been quite positive.Michael V.

Associate tended to be in a hurry, even though I was the only reserved customer that day. Not knowing anything about the necessary components of the hitch (i.e. "the ball") I wasn't aware my vehicle was missing anything. I felt the UHaul rep, although polite, was a bit exasperated that my car wasn't prepared properly, and rattled off quickly what I needed to buy and where to go to get it, making sure to tell me what time he would be closing. In customer service myself, I felt his communication was a bit unsupportive for a new customer.Robert W.

Again appreciated: In fact, the storm was longer and fiercer in Denver proper, and the 2 days extra were not enough as road were closed around the state. I called UHaul (a central number) and got a 3rd day in addition at no cost. Finally I was able to leave Denver mid-day after the storm ended (still ice on the streets in the city) and made it to Santa Fe a day after my original contract indicated. The agent in Santa Fe apparently had not been aware of the extra day, but was very accommodating after checking the record in the central system. I much appreciate this, especially since we have been repeated UHaul customers over the last 18 months.ALMUT S.

I got a 6' X12 but the seller didn't disclose that the trailer â€œentranceâ€ was less than 6 feet. Therefore it was useless to me and had to rent and pay AGAIN for another one with a 6 foot tailgate. And when I mentioned it to the sales rep he said â€œthere is t anything I can do, the trailer left my lot whether it worked out for you or not isn't my problem.â€ In my opinion that's poor customer service. Waste of time and waste of money. I would've been content with an apology and a maybe a discount for my â€œsecondâ€ rental/ reservation. This'll be my last time I rent from this place o even uhaul in generalAlberto G.

Redesign the motorcycle trailer. The tailgate/ramp is not long enough. Both my little Harley and my big Kawasaki bottom out where the gate meets the trailer bed. VERY hard to load and unload!Dana B.
None of the surfaces had been wiped down, dust on the dash and sticky stuff everywhere. Seems that in the Covid era this should be a requirement. The steering wheel was quite grimy as well. Upon drop-off, I sprayed disinfectant and wiped all major surfaces and contact points, however there was some major grime in other places like the floor that had clearly been there a long time. There were no moving pads in the pouch above the dolly. Thankfully, I did not need them. Also, I do not understand why the 17 foot truck is the same rate as the 20. I originally reserved a 20 foot and due to several circumstances, including having to grapple with the murder of my girlfriend's best friend, had to reschedule to a day where no 20's were available. I took the available 17', yet the rate remained where i was quoted for a 20? Despite all this though, this was defintely not a negative rental experience. Reservations and pick-up were smooth. Each time I had to adjust my reservation both the online and 800 number were quite helpful. I am not sure if I was ever able to get ahold of a live person when i called any of the local branch phone numbers, though. Overall, not bad. Step up the between-customer cleaning procedure and it'd be stellar. Thanks Uhaul!Gideon B.

This review isn't so much a reflection of the dealer as UHaul. We purchased a lock from this location with the assurance that it was resistant to bolt cutters, but this was proved wrong when thieves easily cut the bolt a few days later and our items were stolen from the truck. On top of that, despite buying all of UHaul's insurance, the insurance we does not cover theft. The irony is that they would cover damages due to my negligence if I had a driving accident, but not theft due to their shoddy equipment. I will never deal with UHaul again, as they cannot or refuse to ensure the safety of the belongings transported in their trucks.Tom F.
