Everything was great, and Shaun was super helpful and courteous. I will always come to this location for rentals, and recommend Shaun as most excellent in customer care.

RICHARD RYour employee, Chris Dewitt, needs some additional training in the area of "customer service". He was rude and condescending, and I would actually like to speak with someone at the U-Haul HQ with whom I could share more of the details of my experience with him. Fortunately for me, the OTHER employee at the pick-up location (unfortunately, I did not see his name) seemed to be the exact opposite of Chris. The other employee intervened when Chris was trying to charge me an additional $40 above the price quoted on my reservation. Additionally, when the printer would not work to print out the contract, the other employee was the one who asked very politely if it would be permissible for them to send the contract to me via email. I told him, "Of course!" The other employee was super appreciative. When I drove around to the location to pick up the tow dolly, Chris and the other employee were both there to hook it up to my tow vehicle. Chris never said a single word to me during that interaction. The other employee was super friendly and engaged me in conversation. I wish I knew the name of the other guy who assisted me at the pick-up location, as I would absolutely love to give him 5-stars on this review. He was knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and friendly. The exact opposite of Chris Dewitt, the employee with whom I spent most of my time.

JOHN GWhat is the approval call for when picking up a truck after hours? I have to create the booking, upload my drivers license, take a photo, and add my credit card, all before picking up the truck. After, I complete the pickup process of uploading photos etc. This is all understandable. The approval call though? What is the purpose of this? U-Haul literally called a random third party I provide and asks them if I can pick up the truck? What is U-Haul even checking during this activity? This is a nonsensical practice that cost me time and money during an already stressful day. I would give the lowest score possible just for this practice if it didn’t affect the location. The location and service I received by the staff was fantastic by the way.This approval call though is some corporate crap that is beyond ridiculous and I’m glad U-Haul has the money to pay their employees an hourly rate the complete this uncalled for activity however, the person that came up with this has to much time on their hands and is probably costing U-haul more than they are worth.
