KIMBERLY RSame thing. Brought the truck back on time to the assigned loc (tire store). Owner absent, counterman estimated 30-60 min delay to check it in and issue a receipt. We waited, then returned to loc 90 min later, no owner. Counterman stated he would check truck himself and issue receipt. Received 25 min later.

Pamela TConsidering the size of the rental, this location provided plenty of room for maneuvering the truck. I felt safe and confident from the time I got into the truck till the time I backed it in and got out of it. The owner of this establishment is also very nice and accommodating. All future U-Haul rentals we need will only come from this location.
FRANCIS AWhen I got ready to check the truck back in. I was charged for mileage that I didn't drive. Ripping people off is not good very poor business practices. Will never rent from this location ever again!!!!!!!! Customer service with U-Haul support was no help at all....

They cancelled my reservation the day I was supposed to move then the lady called me and said I could pick one up at 3:00. She meant the next day but did not address that. Horrible costumer service. Very disappointed. Dreading using U-Haul again.

Jim PThe only positive that I can give this location was the amount of space that they had for their equipment drop off. I called the location prior to coming and they hung up on me 10 second in. I called back and the gentleman didn't seem too interested in talking to me. He was short and uninterested. When I arrived I didn't feel welcomed. The same gentleman I spoke to over the phone told me where I could park. I did ask for assistance but I was told that there was only one person working, despite upon arrival there were several mechanics working. I tried to remove the trailer on my own, but it was indeed too heavy. I ended up calling the service holiness for help. The Area Field Manager came to my rescue. His name is Jacob. He arrived within 5 minutes of ending my call with Kristi, the Uhaul service agent. He swiftly and efficiently pulled his jack out and removed the trailer. Great man! Thank you so much Jacob. I would not recommend picking up or dropping off from this location, even though they have a very large variety of moving equipment at their disposal.
Neal CReserved a certain size truck and was not notified that it was not available until I was there for pick up.
Khristina SI arrived there to pick up our truck and found out that U-Haul had actually sent my reservation to a location in Savannah an hour away. No one from U-Haul ever called me or e-mailed me to let me know. The manager was fortunately very helpful and spend quite a bit of time on the phone to help move that reservation back to Statesboro so that I could get his truck and not have to drive to Savannah. It was very much appreciated.
Marc NMade a reservation 2 weeks in advance it was approved but on the day before pick up no one called to verify my reservation and on the day we came to pick up our truck they had changed our pick up location with no notification I Honestly feel like they underhanded us by giving our truck to another client!! This is no way to do business!! ALSO!! YOU CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON YOURE ORDER NOT ON WEB OR APP SO STOP MISLEADING PEOPLE!!
Paula TLocation is a tire shop so I will give some leeway on being clean and inviting. My issue was the interaction with employee. I asked where he wanted me to park the trailer and he told me, no issue there. He followed by saying, I will email you your receipt in just a little bit. No one looked at the trailer to confirm it was clean or in damaged. That could mean they either trusted me or didn’t want to do it. I took pictures to document the condition and departed. The email receipt didn’t come until the next day. Using the U-Haul, the trailer showed rented to me for nearly 16 hours after I dropped it off. Maybe this is normal, but once I turn it in, I want confirmation that I have satisfied my side of the rental obligation.

Sabrina WOur pick up location was changed to this site. Very friendly. We took the truck and drove it to our hotel and parked overnight. The next morning the battery was dead. The passenger's door handle was broken(which Tire King was aware of prior), the front window still had tape from being replaced. Aluminum tape on corners of grandma's attic and cab interior dash board was filthy and sticky. Contacting service was aggravating. The Lady thought it would be no problem driving this defective vehicle cross country after a jump. Even with key out of the ignition their was a short turning things on and off. We lost 8 hours in moving process waiting around for help and than a road worthy vehicle that turned out available at our first choice of pick up.

burnette cI showed up to pick up the U-Haul and was told the person that Does rentals was out on a repair call. I waited 30 minutes and the gentleman had still not returned so I left my name and number requesting a callback so I could come pick up my U-Haul. Two hours later I get a call from the U-Haul representative asking why I had not picked up my truck. I explained to them the situation they called the store to see what was going on and inform me that the gentleman was back in the store and I could pick up my rental. I asked why I never received a call back and the answer was I was busy so I didn’t call you. I find that totally unacceptable. I lost three hours of truck time which caused me to return the truck after hours and incur an extra $20 fee all of this simply because only one person could do the rentals and they decided it was not important to tell me I could come pick up my vehicle very disappointed with my experience

mamie jI would have liked to have returned the U-Haul to a closer location but it wasn’t offered. When I did return the employee informed me I could have returned to any location the city. I had to pay $6 extra for going over the mileage when I wouldn’t have had to had I known this. Please inform customers of this. I had to go way out of my way and pay extra. Doesn’t seem right!
Leslie WAfter finalize the rental I was told the trailer was on the lot somewhere and that I could go find it and hook up to it and go. Once I found the trailer, hooked up and did my safety check I found the passenger side taillight and blinker did not work. I informed the business of my problem. They told me to hook up to another trailer and they would correct the paperwork. Once hooked up I checked inside the trailer and found it to be dirt. There were small pieces if sheetrock and tile in the trailer, it was never swept out. I was moving my daughter home from college so I had to clean it out myself. I took pictures if U-haul would like to see. They never gave me new paperwork with information on the new trailer I was taking. The new trailer information was never updated until a representative of U-Haul had to call them.

GWEN SArrived at appointment time, didn’t get helped right away as we do pay for the truck for a certain amount of time so time is working against us. 46 mins later and a customer car later, I finally get the truck to only be told there’s no appliance dolly available. I ask for furniture pads, none available. I would only rent from here if the truck is the only thing needed otherwise steer clear.
