Worst move ever. I reserved my truck 8/6/24 from Toms auto and marine in tamaqua. Y move date was August 31. I got a call less than 24 hours before my move to tell me the only truck available was in Easton. I needed to move by the end of the month, so I agreed to pick it up in Easton, where then I was told there was no truck available for me. I was then called and told I could pick up a truck back in tamaqua where I was originally supposed to pick it up.. so I traveled 100+ miles just to be disappointed again. When I finally got the truck, I was hours behind the planned move and lost half of my moving help which made things even worse for my help and my purse. The whole situation and how your people (Ruben) handled my move was very stressful and unexceptable. I Will never use u-haul again nor recommend to anyone. Shame on you. In my opinion I should not have had to pay a penny for the horrible customer service and unprofessional service. I experienced

The lady who does the uhaul shows up late to work & its frustrating when you have a plan with moving.

The location of the truck pick up was changed less than 24H from the pick up time. I had to drive one hour to pick up the truck. Overall, it costed me about $150 more than my initial reservation due to the additional mileage resulting from the location change. Since it was imperative to move in on that day, I didn't have any other choice. So, my rate of UHaul service is not good

I had added a dolly with my truck but when I picked it was missing. Also the location to pick the truck was very inconvenient. I had to drive almost an hour to pick it up and an hour back to my apartment and an additional 3 1/2 hours to my destination. I would highly recommend hiring a runner to drive the truck to a closer pickup location for the customer.

The person using the system there couldn’t figure out how to process our reservation. She suggested we see if the local Penske had a trailer. Eventually we got our trailer after an hour of waiting and calling customer service. Also, Allentown uhaul called the day before our reservation to tell us our pickup location was closed on Monday, our original pickup day. The only accommodation they offered was to pay an extra $100 for a larger trailer at a location 50 miles out of our way. After delaying our leave time by a day to keep our original location and not waste more money they were actually open the day Allentown said they were closed! I feel our reservation was handled with incompetence

Online process was not as clear as expected. The keys to Uhaul were not in lock box when I opened with given code. I was on hold for 10 minutes when I tried to get in contact with a representative. I was supposed to pickup at 1:00. I had 5 people waiting for over an hour to help, didn’t get access to truck till almost 2:00 only because owner of establishment happened to be in parking lot. He spoke with representative on phone and he ran in to get keys in office. My email said I was still to bring back truck by 7:00, which only gave us 5 hours to load and unload a full house.

Unit was returned Sunday 11/26/23 at 4:00 PM with time data on Photo taken at time of return. Return location was called at 8:25 am on 11/27/23 to confirm receipt. I will not authorize a late fee and additional coverage cost. I satisfied my written agreement. Your folks in your network of locations need to communicate more effectively.

The first location I picked to pick up a truck was in Barnesville, PA. I got there to pick up the truck. No one was there. We called and a guy showed up 10 mins later and was rude and nasty. He wasn’t even the guy who worked with the uhaul and he was no where to be found. Uhaul called and he said of course he is on-site and lied about what time we even got there. He tried to pick a fight and told us we were lucky we were even getting a f-ing truck at this point since we called and complained. Threatened to call the cops if we didn’t leave them because of the fact I was on the phone and even the girl on the phone was rude as I was asking about the $50. So we left and went to this uhaul place where the lady was excellent. She was extremely helpful and patient. We were on a time crunch to get to our new place and she took the time to get us out of there quickly.

The gentleman saw I was disabled and took my car keys and hooked up the trailer for me. All I had to do was drive away. Now that is an excellent example of customer service. THANK YOU!!

This comment is for UHAUL, not the rental/drop off location. I searched really hard to find trailers. Luckily this location in Tamaqua had ONE. This is unacceptable! UHAUL you need to send more trailers to locations! Or send drivers to go pick them up and bring to locations all around. Because anymore, trying to find equipment, especially trailers has been extremely difficult. The staff at Tom's auto and Marine, are extremely friendly and helpful. I'll definitely rent from again, if there is something in stock I need. Thanks again to the friendly staff there! You guys (and ladies are great)!

I would recommend this location if I didn’t live in Bethlehem!! I had to drive over an hour one way to pick up the trailer. The customer service for U-Haul that I tried to contact to have the location moved to a more reasonable place was terrible and useless. Immediately having the chat ended when reaching out online, to still having no response to my email, to waiting 30 minutes to talk on the phone to the 800 number with no solutions or compensation, VERY poor customer service. This is NOT a reflection of the Tamaqua location, they were the ONLY helpful people in this situation. They were excellent. This is a reflection of U-Haul corporate and its poor planning and customer service.
