I was notified 30 minutes before pickup that nobody was at the location, the employee was sick. I was asked to move a truck with a trailer, however, the truck was in a one way alley , not possible to move or detach the trailer. Later I was asked to move another truck which was wedged between a building and a boat. Not possible to move. The person I was talking with accidentally sent a text message to me instead of the intended recipient saying â€˜he's not willing to move the truck'. After sending a picture of the truck, the person asked an area manager to come over to the location. I waited for 30 minutes in the blazing sun for the employee to arrive. This is inexcusable. To add to my painful experience, I was notified 3 hours before the appointment that my Uhaul movers would not be helping me load the truck, they were no longer available. I called customer service waiting 30 minutes to be advised that the only move help would cost over a thousand dollars. I had to hire a crew which costed me over $800. I have used Uhaul many times over the years, I am very upset by the horrible experience with this move. Call me! 763-954-0284Mark C.

I had ordered a dolly and there wasn't one on the truck when i had picked it up. Otherwise I had a quick and easy pickup/drop off:)Alexandra O.
There was no one at the location and it was locked. Apparently the attendant works two sites. However, she suggested we do it over the phone with scan ID and all went well. They allowed us extra time when we weren't back as agreed. All were pleasant and helpful and no problems with the trailer.Priscilla W.

Truck worked great. Had trouble checking the truck back in using the app and this location doesn't always have someone on site to assist. Overall rental went very well.Garry W.

We scheduled to pick up our trailer and furniture dollies at the Plymouth location closest to our apartment several weeks in advance. 2 days before, we were informed they wouldn't have the size trailer we need, and our pickup was changed to a location 10 miles further. We get a call 30 minutes before our scheduled pick up saying there won't be anyone there because they're short staffed and the only worker at that location called in sick. Fine, not the end of the world, we understand a lot of businesses are short staffed due to the pandemic. What really screwed our moving day was that the location we picked up at didn't have the furniture dollies we had ordered and we were told we could go to Plymouth to pick them upâ€¦ where our original reservation was scheduled for. We had so many pieces of furniture to move that day but not enough time to also go get the dollies at a separate location. Really poor communication and didn't meet basic expectations of the request of our reservation.Michael R.

The representative at the Mini-Storage was very helpful. He told me that thet U-haul truck had a check engine light on. Luckily, we had paid for roadside assistance. The worker from Jordon's towing company deemed the truck unsafe to drive and it had to be towed to the repair shop. U-haul paid for a lft driver so I could get a different truck in Princeton, MN. The lft driver was very kind and considerate.Heather S.
The pick up location never told us a specific location to drop off so we looked up this place and they were friendly. Nobody was there but at least the guy in the phone was polite and told me where the drop box Was.Angela S.
The lights on the left side of the dolly were out. Check the lights when the equipment is checked in. I had to travel 30 miles to get the only dolly in the Twin Cities.Douglas G.
The tire on the trailer was flat the moment I put some weight in it. Tire pressure should be checked prior to renting out to someone. I was very disappointed and couldn't get all the things I needed because of this.Jorie P.

There was no one on site at our scheduled pick up time. We were delayed by about 30 minutes u til the manager arrived, got the computer up, and got the equipment ready. We had originally been scheduled to pick up at another location, but our confirmation call the day before mentioned that the location was changed.James R.
Convenient location for me, however, the truck was not readied for rental and when I arrived it was drifted in deep snow and had thick ice on the cab and windows. After digging the truck out of the snow bank I found that the fuel tank was completely empty. Next time I'll probably go to a U-Haul rental center instead of a self-service field site.Eugene K.

Train and staff appropriately. I've moved and rented from U-Haul twice, in as many months. Each experience was terribleâ€” from the first call to reserve to the untrained or simply absent staffâ€”I was amazed that the second rental experience surpassed the first by rude agents and blasÃ©/PHYSICALLY ABSENT management on site. Never again will I consider U-Haul as an option. The whole enterprise feels under-resourced, like a failing Blockbuster Video chain. Near the end.philip D.

It isn't clear if or where you can park a car overnight during the rental period. I just took my chances and my car was fine, but it would be nice if there was something that gave you clear direction as to whether or not you can leave a car overnight.William H.

Nobody onsite at at 1pm location said closed on Thursdays. I had to unhook and push trailer to drop off location, this is a liability as I could have been hurt unhooking your equipment. Very unhappy with this service.Joseph W.
The entirely app based check out and truck return process was awesome. Instructions every step of the way were clear and it was easy to navigate through all the pages, with the picture taking, submitting, resubmitting in one occurrence where the remote agent needed a better image, etc. It was all very effortless. Thanks! And the truck was very clean. Very happy with my rental experience. Tonka Storage UHaul will be top of the list next time I'm in need of a rental!Brandon P.

The only thing was it said on the inside of the truck save 25 dollars make sure it is swept out. I swept it out no problem but there was already dirt in the back from the previous user. Other than that the experience was great.Emily I.
I had reserved and paid for a truck at another location in Mound Mn, and at the last minute they canceled on me. Very stressful and inconvenient. This location did well but was much further away from meHEIDI H.
I originally requested this for another location. My order was confirmed at that location for the date requested. Then I was sent another email confirmation (3.5 hours later) with that location and 5pm the night before pickup. I was not notified by phone or advised in the second email that any change had been made. Not happy with this! Fortunately they were able to accommodate me at this location spur of the moment because the original location had cancelled my order when I had not shown up the night before my requested pickup.Maria B.

I was rerouted to this location from my original drop off. I showed up 2 minutes after they were supposed to close on Saturday. I walked in and was told they were closed and asked what I wanted. I said I was dropping off a truck after being rerouted from my original drop off location. I was told the computers were already shut down so they would have to wait to check me in until Monday. They went to the computer and turned on the screen and the computer was on the page they needed. So really the computer wasn't shut down. The screen was just turned off and they didn't want to help me. I said, do what you have to, the truck is outside and here are the keys and I left. I would never go back there for anything again.Karl H.
I was told that I went 50.3 miles. I know for a fact that I did not go any further than 35 miles. Not a lot of money out of pocket, but still an invalid charge.Richard H.

The initial reservation process would not allow my vehicle with a class IV hitch to be used for the rental. I almost moved on. This is a problem going forward. I have pulled larger trailers well within the limits of the car.James D.

The gentlemen that was helping me didn't know that I was picking up the vehicle as a customer. They thought that I was coming to swap it out because it needed an oil change. Then when I finally got them to understand that I was the customer, they didn't seem to have a great understanding of the system and it took 20 minutes longer than it should have. Not to mention I received no paperwork or anything from them and they told me that they would just give me the truck on good faith as they couldn't get my stuff entered into the system.JOHN M.

I booked many weeks in advance but did get location I asked for when they had two of the trailers I was looking to rent. Upon picking up at new location, the trailer had a very unsafe tire. U haul upgraded to a larger unit for same price but trailer was way to large for my needs.RANDY S.
My experience with the online reservation process was absolutely awful. Customer support was unhelpful, rude, and sarcastic with me. The representative at Tonka SS was amazing, however. He was very friendly, helpful, and understanding of how disruptive it was to have my reservation switched from a pickup two miles from my apartment to 30 miles from my apartment, as well as receiving a 10-foot truck instead of a 17-foot truck. My only complaint would be that I was emailed a receipt for the packing supplies I bought, but not the initial UHaul receipt.JOHN V.
