This is how a U-Haul franchise should operate, but for as good as they were, they cannot single handedly negate the total "cluster" that took place in Killeen, nor the incompetence of your staff at the Corporation's multiple 800 #'s I was shuffled around. The WORST was your Customer Scheduling Department. The people there have put their brains and focus to assist customers in the "OFF" position. I ordered this truck a month ago. Asked to pick it up in Canton GA. I get there and they tell me it's in Ball Ground GA. WHAT???? You had a month to get the truck I asked for and where. The trailer was connected far too low to the ground and it was a massive problem. They should have flipped the ball on the hitch so it would have raised the height several inches at least. The place where I returned the trailer was shocked that they connected it that way to start with.Milton P.

Took the truck with les than 3/8th tank of gas, bright it back with more than this and was charged over $58 The folks working this place are all chain smokers, albeit the lady was nice everyone outside smoked and the office smelled like a tobacco shop. I was extremely disappointed and upset in the beginning of this experience. The location at Hickory Flat Hwy in Canton is where I scheduled the pickup. After driving for 1 1/2 hours to get there, upon arrival they informed us my truck wasn't at that location, but at another. I had spoken to the service person at the hickory location 2 times on my way to that location and never once had they said anything about the truck not being there. Then, they supposedly called the location where we were having to drive 20 more minutes to pick up the truck, but they never actually called that location - they just spoke to some other person at UHaul on the phone. So, we leave to go to that location (it's 6pm at this point) and the GPS kept taking us to a gravel driveway in the middle of nowhere with no buildings, nothing there. After an hour of driving around, wasting time and gas and money, calling different locations, etc, we finally accidentally found the location. Of course, at this point they were closed. We were supposed to be moving that evening and now we couldn't due to incompetence on the part of the Hickory Flat location to make sure we knew where to go, and that they spoke to the people there to let them know we were on the way. So, we now have to wait until morning to get a truck. We call first thing in the morning and are told that there is no truck for us there. We start calling 1-800-Uhaul to find us a truck and have called several locations near there, all to be told there is no truck available. Finally after 3 hours on the phone, we get a hold of someone at the ball ground location that says the truck is there and ready for us. when we go to pick it up, we are expecting a discount for all of our trouble but we only are given the $50 off for reservation mistake they made. My daughter works for UHAUL (she's the one we were moving) and we were asking for the employee discount, the guy there said he couldn't do that, he called his rep and they said they couldn't do that - we were told that she would have had to make the reservation herself. I was very upset at the whole experience - I even sat on the phone for 15 minutes trying to get through to UHAUL to talk to him about giving us the employee discount but no one ever answered and we were already a day behind on our move. I would hope that someone will contact me about refunding some of the money since you cost us extra gas money and loss of time that cost us for not having competent employees or consistent information being provided so that we could get our truck on time and also get the discount we deserved.KRISTEN C.
As I was unhitching the trailer Sunday afternoon, a Ball Ground, GA police officer drove up and to make sure everything was ok most likely due to the facility being closed. I do like the convenience of the 24/7 trailer drop off time for this location.Mike S.
