had a reservation at 10am, it took 2 hours for them to call someone to unlock the gate and it was such a stressful experience and then the guy told me to not bring it back to this location but turns out that ended up being a charge that was more than the rental itself. After going to 3 locations and 1.5hrs later, I finally got my truck. The first location did not even care that they didn't have my truck (even though I requested it at that location). No call from them confirming or changing locations. The next location did not have my truck either (also a 3mi drive from the previous location). The second location did not have my truck, even after they said they did over the phone. I finally had to call Uhaul customer service center to get a whole new location, one that was even farther (3.5mi) than the original location. I asked for a discount or refund, and the customer service agent first said all they could do was a $30 discount. After speaking with the manager, they said a $50 discount. When I arrived at the final location, the rental fee when up $30 (from $262 to $293). This is the worst service I've ever experienced. I wouldn't recommend Uhaul to anyone, the opposite actually. Use any other service except Uhaul.Peter T.

Horrible return experience. Took them 4 days to close out my order and even longer to release the $100 hold on my debit card. They charged me for the wrong mileage and it took two phone calls to customer service which weren't really able to do much. I've gone to other locations in the past and they weren't anything like this one. DON'T EVER USE THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!DeMarcco D.

It was very confusong to know where to park the ban @ this location. The address should have been on the side as well; we didnt see it on front right away. Signs directing where to park and a lockbox on the side would have been niceWillie R.
What a disaster...i selected and u haul confirmed via email with no other communication my pick up location and date. NOPE...so sorry we don't have a reservation for you and no equipment. Your reservation is across town, somewhere I had no knowledge of. It seems I am supposed to make some kind of miraculous guess where and when to go. Better odds with Powerball. So ok I need this because I have plans and deadlines and have to get back to work. Oh you didn't guess that the secret location also has secret business hours. Sorry come back at 10 am (finally did get an email stating that after trying for over 2.5 hours to pick up the equipment. Oh but wait there's more those business hours are really just a rough approximation...we don't open until someone decides to show up. So please just wait around until it is convenient for us...its now almost 1030 i was supposed to pick up at 8 am (i thought.....how ridiculous am i right?) Customers are a real pain in the ass always trying to do what the confirmed email says etcKevin R.

The location was in an unsafe area of Chicago and did not open until 10:30 am. I was not pre-notified that my pick up location had been changed (not a single e-mail or phone call/message). I found out of the change in location when I showed up to my preferred location (fullerton, Chicago) at 8 am to pick up my truck, as indicated in my only confirmation e-mail. The uhaul attendant at Fullerton was not helpful or apologetic that I was not contacted about the change and sent me to Augusta Ave, without disclosing how far it was or that it did not open until 10:30 am on a weekday. Had I been notified appropriately that this was my pick up location, I would have refused given safety of the area, the fact that it was 35 min from my apt, and the opening time did not allow for my scheduled move out time between 9-12 that I had indicated on my initial confirmation e-mail with uhaul, as well as set up movers via uhaul's website for this time. After spending over an hour on the phone being put on hold and transferred to more than 3 representatives, a uhaul customer service attendant admitted that no one contacted me regarding the change, however could not find me another truck in chicago to prevent my scheduled move out of a chicago high-rise from being delayed over 2 hours. I was forced to wait in an unsafe area of Chicago from 9 am until 10:30 am, where I was being hassled, honked at, and spoken to inappropriately by bystanders as I stood on the sidewalk to check to see if the location had opened yet, forcing both my mother and I to lock ourselves in her car. I am thankful my mother had decided to drive down that morning to help, otherwise I would have been forced to take public transportation to this area and been left without a vehicle to lock myself in until it opened. I had to pay additional hours for my movers who were at my apartment at 9 am and unable to access it, as well as a fine for using my freight elevator past my scheduled lot of time that I had paid 300$ for. I made my movers late to their next job, and the next move out of my building late as well. On top of all of this, I was charged 6.80$ from uhaul for additional mileage, despite the fact that I went straight from my apt to my move in location. I filed a formal complaint and am still waiting to hear from a uhaul representative to further discuss my horrific experience and will be certainly be contacting Uhaul this afternoon if I do not here from anyone within 48 hours as promised.Brooke L.

Very poor customer service. All they want is your money. They don't care about the cargo trailer condition. I won't ever use this company for moving. Once I paid they said that I was suppose to receive some money back which I never did. So over all worse experience ever.JOSE C.

The young man that served us was very professional in handling the paper work and was knowlegible about the equipment we were renting. The biggest problem was that their location was fair distance from our home, however, the drop off point was very handy.GREG S.

Made reservation for a different location. Reservation was changed without warning to this location and notified by email. Location itself was old and dirty. Was followed into the building by a homeless person who wouldn't leave my friend and I alone while I was trying to work with the customer service person. Took way longer than it should have to get paper work done (most of which should have been already together given that I made the reservation online and provided much of the information at that time). Truck was beat up, graffiti on the side of it, dirty interior, torn seats. Overall poor experience.TRAVIS S.
The only complaint about location is the area is not a safe neighborhood. The employees there were very nice and helpful, so overall I would go there again, I just wouldn't send my wife or daughter into the neighborhood alone.DEBORAH S.
They were NI help at all. They did not help me with the installation and they did not help me hook up the tail lights. They did not have the adaptor, no hitches! This pkace was terrible. I was being helped by a 15 year old child who kept using the incorrect billing zip for the oaent and the fraud department licked my credit card 4 times. I finally got tired and went home without the trailer, so now I am a day behind. Went back the next day to get trailer and that us when no one at the location could assit me. I had to drive 4 mile completely ILLEAGALLY to the Cicero location where 2 GREAT GUYS hooked the trailer up got me the piece I needed to hook up the lights and did a light check. This is what the first location should have done!!!Then we I went to drop the trailer off at the 608 vine street the rejected the trailer and sent me to another store. When I got to the other location they did accept the trailer and checked me out. So to say the least this was the worst experience I had!!!BOBBI J.
