There was no signs or any direction as to where to park the truck when we returned it to this location. There was no clear markings for a drop box to put the keys after we return the truck .I will never use this location againRobert M.

I would not recommend uhaul to my family or freinds it was my first and only time I would rent from you.first I rented in Carleton place the day before the move your ride schedule in lady called and changed me to almonte changed my time for pick up when I called inquire get another rude lady told me no guarantees the truck would even be there when I got there then put the mileage rate to 1.43 and not the .89 cents had to drive 20extra km to get it then get it home not dolly's that's I asked for had to go back to get it.and no discount or even sorry for the inconvenience the young man in almonte was a very sweet young man st least he said he was sorry for the inconvenience so no I will never recommend you to anyoneCheryl S.

We booked our uhaul over 2 wks in advance, for 8am. When we tried to confirm this reservation, the pick up time was changed to 3:pm! This was totally unacceptable & inconvenient for us. Uhaul told us there was nothing they could do. Unbelievable! Incredibly bad service. The man in Almonte did try to encourage the renter before us to return the uhaul asap . We appreciated his effort - but are very upset with uhaul booking.Guy J.

Truck given to wrong person. When rented for 7 am was only available at 2pm. Was suppose to have equipment to transport boxes. Not inside truck. Had to go to another location 30 km.Jean-Francois D.
Great experience! The 2 attendant's who assisted us in pick up and drop off were super. In addition to helping us, they served customers at the gas pumps all while maintaining their composure and friendly service. This was our first rental with Uhaul and we will use this location again.JayandKim C.

The cap for the coolant was sitting on top of the container under the hood and not screwed on. Had this not have been noticed the coolant likely would have leaked out and the truck overheat during the move.Sandra H.

I rent the Van. It is four season tires , not snow tires on the van. It is not good on county road and stop by snow after load. I purchase the one day insurance from U-Haul , I called the U-haul , they did not have the service. I am CAA member , CAA does not have service for U-haul. I wait 2 hours, a neighbor used his tractor to pull it out If you are moving in winter, better to find a good driver, I chose the small van in U-haul , but I really drive the big van , my experience is not good enough to drive in winter.JING J.

They gave me a truck that was iced over and then the windshield wiper broke on the driver's side while on the highway during a snowstorm. The vehicle was unsafe to drive as the owner did not remove the ice for me. This almost caused multiple accidents. I then had to double back to Ottawa to have the truck fixed, causing me to go over my mileage, add more gas to the truck and forcing me to pay my movers an extra 2 hours to sit around and wait for me. Moreover I had to buy windshield washer fluid as it was empty, costing me more money once again. This was a horrendous experience with uHaul.Pier-Alexandre M.

The trailer I had reserved the week before for an eight day rental did not have functioning lights. The agent gave me an upgrade at the same price to get me on the road quickly. He got me hooked up and away within 15 minutes. It served my needs perfectlypaul L.

The lights didn't work on trailer rented. After hooking up and starting to leave. Had to switch and get another trailer, witch was bigger and heavier. Didn't want that one cause transmission on old truck drive weak. And was stopped on way back with load on by OPP cause on back of truck what was caring to officer wasnt secure enough. Also the officer mentioned about uhaul trailer tires were pretty wore out. Pointing out one on left hand side almost bald. Told me to tell dealer rented from. I was in a rush when brought back so didn't get to share with uhaul dealership.Rebecca P.

This is a comment for U-Haul and not this particular dealer. I was NOT impressed when my pick up location was changed - I was not advised and was not even aware that this happened. It caused a significant delay to my live plans AND I ended up over the allowed mileage which resulted in an additional charge!!! Not impressed at all.Glenda T.
Your support of rural dealers is horrific! I can't tell you how many times I reserve a vehicle from my local place only to get an email and call from another rep telling me that my reservation was cancelled but rebooked at another location 45 minutes away. FIGURE OUT YOUR DEALER RELATIONS BECAUSE YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE.David D.
I reserved a trailer for 7:30pm and arrived to find the location closed! Spent 40 mins on the phone and spoke to 3 different agents before one was helpful enough to help me make this reservation for 7am the next morning. The problem was I need to be loaded up and gone by 6:30am. All of this made me 1.5 hrs late for my appointment which is unacceptable. Was offered a $50 compensation sent to a different automated systems which after waiting for 10 more mins nobody picked up, no acknowledgement of being on hold, just blank empty phone line, so I hung up. I am not sure very convenient and service was great at pick up. What I did not understand is that I was quoted 30.00 for the day no other costs were discussed.
