I received vehicle with less gas than what was filled out on the equipment contract. I filled vehicle to what was agreed upon. I prepaid for 75 miles and was told it would be adjusted upon return which it wasn't. I was also charged $20 for gas Please get workers to do a pre inspection with you before you take it out otherwise they will just write down whatever they want

Reservation made Jan 4,2021 for Jan 9th. Realized I may have to go to different location in Winnipeg to pick up the 15 ft truck. Got a text the evening before saying I had to go to Altona Manitoba to pick up the truck. Made no sense but when I called the number in the text he was adamant that was where I had to go and he could do nothing about it. Moving from Winnipeg to Brandon so driving 2 and half hours to pick up in Altona didn't make a lot of sense. I quickly went down to the Pembina location and after a few phone calls was sorted out. They seem very disorganized. Also paid to rent 2 dozen moving blankets and received 1 dozen. When I phoned back the girl said they would look after the difference and refund and she would make a note on my file and to mention when I dropped off.Nothing happened from this end insofar as a refund. Would not deal with this company again.

The van I reserved had trash in it, was covered in a ton of dirt, had missing letters in its identification stickers, and was physically stuck in its parking spot, unable to be driven out. They had to provide another vehicle.

The 10 ft truck tires had little to no tread left. It was a very frustrating experience to move the truck from where it was parked. It took me 15 minutes in 10 inches of slushy deep snow, that wasn't shoveled, to finally get loose. These tires are dangerous, and obviously the owner believes this to be a normal situation.

The personnel was kind and helpful but as for the vehicle, there was no windshield wiper fluid in the vehicle which proved to be dangerous on the slushy wet day that it was.

Worst experience ever with u-haul, very poor service

When I picked up the truck there was garbage all around the truck on the ground outside. The truck was dirty on the outside. But that did not prepare me for the inside. When I opened the driver door I was shocked. The floor was filthy, the seats looked like they had not ever been wiped. There was food and cigarette butts and garbage wrappers on the floor and a piece of packaging that whoever rented the truck last melted by flame was left on the dash. And there was garbage behind the driver seat mud on passenger door. The real kicker was a used needle in the cup holder closest to the passenger seat. I was mad. I went back in to talk to the man who issued the truck to me. He did not have any other trucks. He came out with a spray bottle and cloth. He wiped the steering wheel and part of the cup holder. He took the used needle away with him. He told Me the truck had been STOLEN and only came back 2 days ago. So I asked if the truck had been inspected. He said yes yes. I had people at my place waiting for me to arrive with a truck to load for our move so I couldn't cancel. So I left with the truck. When I got home I opened the back cargo part it looked ok until I walked up to the moms attic. And on the floor was white round drugs. I am not impressed. I wiped down the driver side in the cab for when it was loaded and I had to sit in there. I did not remove the garbage or the broken snow scraper. Both parts were still there. ALSO there was a garage remote and a set of keys for a white SUV in the glove box. We did our move. I returned the truck and told the same man who issued the truck, that it was not acceptable to receive it the way I did and I didn't want to pay for this. I hope you can see my frustration. I would love to email you all the pictures I took. Please contact me so I can do that. I rent UHAUL's often and have never experienced such a dirty vehicle. I was also told that the Tru Blue car wash was not authorized to refund that I need to contact you at the head office. I did ask for the police report number so I could follow up with the police seeing that I cleaned out several drugs from the back cargo area incase they needed them for evidence. Upon picking up my rental, it was extremely dirty. The exterior was caked in mud, including the wheel wells, rims, axels, and breaks. Once the trailer was loaded it was extremely easy to tell the hubs/bearings were completely shot. I called road side assistance who arrange to have me bring it in the next morning to a service Centre. Upon bringing the trailer to the service centre they manager looked at the trailer and informed me the breaks, hubs, rims, tires, and light wiring needed to be replaced. The service provided at the service centre was very good and was the only positive experience of this process! However I was still very disappointed that the trailer was In such a poor conditions upon picking it up. If I did not have experience with trailers and tried to make my 2000km drive with this trailer it is highly likely I would have been stranded in the middle of no where with this mechanical unsafe trailer. Overall I was extremely disappointed a trailer of this condition would be given to a customer and it is clear service providers do not do appropriate safety/mechanical inspections of your equipment. You can look in to the service records of this unit yourself and see the work that was required for it be mechanical safe.

First of all, we were not told that there is different prices for weekends. When I enquired over the phone for pick up on Friday I was told it's $0.89 per km for whichever lms you drive. Then, I came to know that when you drive more than 500 lms. You get a straight charge. I drove 317 miles which is 592kms. And I was charged as per lms driven. Really bad experience. Hoping for refund.

I don't think it is fair when I pay the deposit of $60 and it doesn't get returned to me the same day I returned the trailer. And I have to wait 4-6 weeks for you to mail my deposit back to me.

Terrible customer service. Gas tank only 1/4 full but if dont return it 1/4 full will get charged. This is unfortunate as it takes time out of the rental time.

The Gas tank should be toped up not 3/4 of tank on the pick up day. Why? Because on dropping of is difficult to refuel accurately up to 3/4 tank. That's why I put 7/8 of tank that is 1/8 of tank more than I used.

Mileage on truck more and in contract pepper 7 miles less. In fuel tank level showing in pepper halfway but actually below half. Two months ago I rented and they changed $15 for fuel next day. I call them I already put gas And I have receipt but they say another employee did this so I can't help you. So this time I checked miles and fuel tank both are wrong so technically they need extra money from every customer. Even after finishing my trip I asked for receipt they told me you are getting in email. So it's tricky not telling how much actual charge a Free finish trip. You are getting by email and you don't have time for argue For $10 /$15. So I found this location doing cheat. Try to send your company man for rent and you realized I am right.

The cab of the truck was not cleaned out, there were items from the previous owner still in the cab. The interior was filthy and the windshield was very dirty, bordering on unsafe to drive in sunny conditions. The attendant didn't know that a cart was already in the back of the truck and instructed me to take one from the "collection".

The driver's door was faulty, there was a dent on the passenger side, the engine light went on while utilizing the vehicle, attendant entered incorrect gas information on the system which resulted to extra charges. Called to verify the EZ fuel sales -attendant was to return call, it's more than 24hrs later no call back.

This was my second 26ft uhaul truck multi day rental this week and by far insuperior to the first rental. My preffered location was changed a few days before pick up to one across the other side of Winnipeg. Not a problem, I understand the Uhaul system, but when I arrived at 'guaranteed' location I was advised that a 26ft was not available and I had to go to a dealer that was back across the other side of the city. In traffic, this was 45 minutes away. When I arrived at this location I was very pleased that there were two 26ft trucks in the parking lot! Check in was great and the agent was friendly. However....... the previous renter had left the truck with only a 1/4 tank of gas. This is where I become confused and ultimately disappointed with the uhaul service. The agent advised me that the previous renter had returned the truck with only a 1/4 tank of fuel, and had subsequently been charged $1.30 a litre for gas and a $30 admin fee for the inconvenience. But the truck I rented was still at a 1/4 tank!? If the previous customer paid heavily for bringing back the truck with less than the required amount, shouldn't the dealer have used these funds to fill the truck? The knock on effect to this lasted my entire rental as I now had to drive 400km approx and calculate the gas level just right to ensure that i only left the truck with a quarter tank at drop off. (Passing the issue and buck onto the next renter) Driving overnight through Northwest Ontario is not the time to be messing around with low fuel levels and so I lost out in this situation, because even with the fancy uhaul fuel calculator that I'm directed to use EVERYWHERE in the truck, I still returned it with a half tank and uhaul unfairly gains profit and fuel. Due to my location, I wil have no choice but to use uhaul again, but I am not a fan or an advocate for your business. Good day.

Although I have rented a 4x8 trailer from Uhaul before, and received help, I was not asked if I needed assistance to hook up the trailer and test the lights this time. Hard to check if the brake lights when your by yourself. I had to go back and ask for help checking the lights once I was hooked up.

The customer service agent had no idea what to do when i returned the trailer. She said everything was okay but afterwards i received an invoice for extra day charge. I called them back and asked why, she said her mistake and will refund. That has still not happened and im very upset over their lack of service and no one there will help and explain why i still have not been refunded. Very poor representation of uhaul.

Very very disappointed From beginning to end After waiting almost an hour they gave us the wrong size trailer, had to drive back for the correct size which took another 45mins Then online it says we are allowed to pay by cash or debit if we left a damage deposit That is not true They would not except either Then it took us to wait in line to return the unit I ended up being late for work We stood outside in line for over an hour and a half I will never use u haul again or recommend anyone use One of the worst experiences from beginning to end

I requested a 15' truck for the saturday @8:00 am (with more than a week in advance, and also confirmed over the phone) and they called me one day before the useday and change my truck size (10') and to another hour (6:00pm). So, I kindly request (according with the U-haul page) a reimbursement of $50 because of the change made to my request.

I have reserved two dollys, one for furniture and the regular one. The flat one for furniture was with a well broken. There was no other available. I have to use that one. Furthermore, I have reserved 30 blanket and I didn't receive it. I request them to correct it in my other and refund me, but I didn't receive any return after 3 days.

you missed the point with this survey about the locations. The overall experience with U-Haul itself was awful. Changes, poor communication, people calling 5 times, other locations unable to help. U-haul, online and on the phone is terrible.

Mobile pickup/dropoff is useless as their lock boxes are broken so after completing the mobile process you then need to stand in line inside a car wash (yes inside aka bring your swimsuit) in order to get your key or give it back. Lines are long because staff doesn't know how to work the computer. I thought I was watching an SNL skit. AVOID THIS LOCATION.

I ordered one furniture dolly when I placed my order online. When I picked the truck up I had signed electronically then somehow when I got my receipt there was an added charge of a utility dolly. I drove away moy tsalozo g I had to take the furniture dolly myself (I left the Ugaul dealer with no dolly). When I returned the Uhaul, I explained to the girl I was charged for not one but two dollies. She then said she couldn't do anything and would talk to someon about it. I told her I had left with no dollies and asked if she could remove both or at least the the charge of the utility dolly, which I never ordered. I was still charged for both. The website is tricky to navigate. It includes random additional costs that you have to manually click on and remove. UHaul- you are underhanded assholes. Squeeze some more pennies out of frantic movers, why don't you.

We arrived just after 8:00 am and waited 45 min. for 1 drop-off and 2 rentals. How can it take that long? People also drive in to wash their cars and cut in line in order to get change. All very annoying! Check-in could be much smoother but the rest was great.

We had a uhal booked months in advance for a 20' truck and when we went to pick it up at the Century location we were told the truck was not there. At that moment I looked online and it said 6 other locations had trucks available, but that was false as we were told they had none. After calling the uhal helpline they found us one truck that was smaller. We had this day planned with movers and helpers so we took the truck and they gave us a small mileage discount which was not much. My comment for uhal to help improve would be to update your online inventory and make sure that there is a truck available for appointments. It delayed our time and we ended up spending more due to the smaller truck having to make several trips across Winnipeg.

Other than getting charged for 6 days rental but only used it for 1 day it was good. Area manager corrected this error but caused me a few hours of anxiety. All is good now, just waiting for my MasterCard to get credited back $167.00

The location is hectic. With COVID people are waiting in line in the car wash itself. The directions on the office door indicates only two people in the office at one time. There were more than two people in the office and appeared to be either other workers or acquaintances of an employee. We weren't sure if and when to enter. Seemed like U-haul was secondary to the other businesses run there. The unit itself wasn't terrible. Believe it needs maintenance though. No washer fluid and gear changes were rough. Have previously used U -haul services at their main location on route 90. That location was preferable, much better organized and professional.
