Beware the gas consumption during the cold weather. It’s more than you think! Think 1 litre per kilometre.

Checkout was OK, but the vehicle was extremely dirty outside and smelled mouldy inside. this vehicle has only 11500 km's on it and felt and drove like it had 150000 km's on it. As soon as I got into it and turned it on, the display informed me that the oil needed to be changed and that the front left tire needed air. Maintenance is obviously a huge issue. As far as the vehicle being cleaned, it would appear to me that this van had never seen a car wash since new. The van was rented from a car wash. GO FIGURE!

On-line prequalification was excellent. Tow vehicle and towed vehicle reviewed prior to tow dolly approval. Firstly, Upon arrival, I was told that vehicle did not qualify. I was given the dolly regardless and signed on document not knowing that the uhaul representative had altered the tow vehicle description (on purpose obviously) to qualify the rental. If there was an incident I would be viewed as a liar and certainly liable. Secondly, the dolly was dirty and hitch frozen in ground. Without any assistance at any time, we chipped it loose and mounted to ball hitch (truck) as indicated in videos. Drove for 100 km (empty) pulled over for first road check. Left taillight had partially fallen apart due to rivets holding retainer ring had fallen out because drill hole size was too big for rivets. Taped the light together and continued on with no left taillight. Stopped five times during the journey to re-tape taillight. Dolly itself worked/performed awesome. Upon journey completion contacted uhaul regarding same. I was the only customer at the site at anytime during my visit.

They cheat on gas level, charge you for gas money although you refuelled fir $10 for just 19km running..... No inspection done while open contract but gets detailed inspection when come back, claims on gas level being low, thats cheating and stealing customer’s money.

The engine size of your vehicles, V8, are high fuel consumption not suitable most of the time. U-Haul should make available other vehicles different than V8 give a choice customers to make a choice .

You guys should always clean the cars before hand it to customers. The van was so dirty that I couldn't see. I had to clean the window and windshield myself. The location was right beside with the car wash and trucks were so dirty. Also, there should be someone come and instruct how to activate the truck. The back door of the truck was broken too.

Fix the detached access panel in the back. It was a hazard for everyone and should be grounds for a refund. When you step on it, the panel sinks down and almost caused several accidents. I'm very unhappy with this experience.

I would rather book and pickup equipment at my nearest U-Haul location rather than being told to drive to the farthest reaches of town to get what I need and then being told I have to drive all the way back to return it too. Otherwise, customer service was fine.

My online reservation was not ready where and when I was told it would be by head office. I had to travel across the city in rush hour traffic to and from two depots. Frustrating experience. Disorganized business flow, definitely has room for improvement

I would not use this site as a Uhaul pickup location. Staff were not knowledgeable or friendly. Very poor service from both a staff member and a manger. We also got the feeling that something suspicious was going on there.

I reserved a truck on Sep 17 to picked up at my preferred location: on Monday, September 23, 2019 1341 Regent Ave WU-Haul Moving & Storage at Regent Ave at 9:00 am. I booked the elevator in my building for 10:00 am and hired two movers at $90 an hour for 10:00 am. When I arrived to pick up the truck at 9:00 am I was eventually informed that the truck was not at that location but on Pembina Highway, located a 30 minute drive farther away from my residence . When I arrived at the Pembina Highway location it took 15 minutes to do the paperwork. When I then checked the mileage on the truck to the paperwork, the gas gauge was less than shown on the paperwork. The U-haul representative said she would have to redo all the paperwork which took another 15 minutes. By the time I got to my residence it was 11:00 am., elevator and movers waiting. If I didn't go to pick up the truck early it would would wasted even more money. Upon arriving at our new residence at Winnipeg Beach at 3:00 pm I checked our email and noticed your email sent at 7:12 am that morning informing us of a new pickup location and time. This information was useless to us even if we had seen it earlier, as we were traveling into the city in the morning and had everything else booked based on your original confirmation email. Hiring a moving company would have been less stressful and with the time delays that added additional expenses would have not cost much more. My wife and I are extremely disappointed.

Make it clear when truck is picked up that their is is 30.00 fuel fill up fee. Traveled only only 19 miles in total and did not use much fuel. Did not stop for fuel because someone was waiting to pick me up. Realized had to pay for fuel consumed but charging 30.00 to have then put 15.00 worth of fuel is excessive.

The location is VERY difficult to find because of poor signage on the street. They're located at the back of the property in a separate building. We drove past it a couple of times before we successfully found it.

I often rent from U-Haul I find the service is always great . I do find the trucks are very old and it shows on how the engines sound . Ride is very rough . For what the client is paying trucks could be more maintained .

Very messy location and office where you visit to return rental. Your boxes say you can get a refund on unused, however this location would not take them back. He said we had to go to a main dealer. He sells boxes, but would not return. Very frustrating after a long move, that I need to go somewhere else.

Fabulous service!! Kind staff- went above and beyond! We had to go to this location because the first location was too full and couldn’t take the trailer. I was upset at first - but we lucked out going to this location! Absolutely recommended!!

Booked online for $90.60 (incl. mileage pkg). Went ahead to look at van but it was too small for job. Asked the U-Haul employee if we could switch to the truck for the same price (incl. mileage) and he said yes. Confirmed with him a couple more times to be sure and he said yes. Booked truck because of that. When we came to pick up truck they put the charge through at $206.04 instead of the $90.60 we were originally charged. It was a different employee so we explained what the other employee had agreed to. He said to just confirm the amount on the credit card transaction screen but that we wouldn’t be charged that amount, it was just to allow us to have the vehicle instead of waiting longer (store was supposed to open at 8 am but no one showed to until 8:20). He reassured us that we wouldn’t be charged that amount and that he just had to talk to his manager to see how to put the transaction through at the other amount. He said he was the manager and gave his word that we wouldn’t have to pay that amount. When we went to return the vehicle, they charged us $356. They said the mileage was more but we had said at the time of the original booking that we would be going around 200 miles, which is why we bought the extra mileage pkg. to cover the full cost of the mileage. They said that we went over 100 miles and were charged extra as a result. They said there was nothing we could do because they had our credit card number. This has truly been the worst experience and service that we have ever received and we would most definitely never recommend them.

The Cargo Van I received was filthy (dusty, ketchup packets on floor, spider webs, straw wrappers in cup holders, branches in the cargo area). It also had a very strong smell of cigarette/rubber; they must have known about the smell as there was a pine tree air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror. I had the sales person come and see before leaving the property as I did not want to be held responsible for the clean up. I also received van with 7/8ths fuel level. I had pre-paid for 30 km, but ended up using 34 km. I also used 1/8 of a tank, threw in $5 but the gauge did not budge. Threw in an addition $6 which ended up bringing the tank to full. I cannot explain how that happened. When I requested to have the 4 kms waived for the additional fuel received, I was informed that they have to enter the final total kms and it did not appear to be anything they could do. I referred to my contract which indicated that had I not replaced the fuel to the level received, $1.52 per litre missing would be charged to my credit card. I asked what UHaul does with all that money they receive from people who are charged that amount. The reply I received is that they fill the tank. I mentioned again that I had not received the van with a full tank but have now filled it, plus got charged the additional 4 kms and did not receive a clean van to begin with. Seems very fishy to me....Someone out there is making money on all the unfilled tanks and now, have made just a little more because of the additional fuel they received following my usage. I left with a headache from the smell of that van, and a lighter wallet. Very messy system all around!

This is after I was told by the original location that they didn’t have the trailer and I would have to drive over an hour to the location that had the right one. I was left taking a much less expensive trailer and have still not been provided the over $300 credit.

Moving truck was missing and was charged for a vehicle that I didn't use, in fact a vehicle they claim was stolen and didnt come out to the vehicle to check on it when we were getting ready to use it in the morning, the corrections that were made are not done right and was still overcharged for millage. The district manager (Adam Boughton) will not return calls to make appropriate corrections. This situation has gone too far with no professional help from UHaul. Very frustrated with it all. And not very professional at all. Sincerely , Very upset customer

Old car wash location, I just wanted to drop off trailer...waited 53mins while one overworked lady tried to handle 4 customers ahead of me. I should have known, but silly me order $100 of Chinese food which ended up be cold for the 4 waiting for me to bring it home. Oh...by the way...the trailer worked great!

I had reserved a truck at a different location, with a confirmation and reservation guarantee. When I went to pick up my truck, it wasn't there. At least I get the $50 guarantee right? No, that only applies to "ideal circumstances", that is, when the truck is available. I had to wait 5 hours so they could find me another moving truck at a different location. I had other equipment and people lined up to help me move, and UHaul disrupted not only my entire day, but all of their time as well! Extremely unprofessional and not at all acceptable! I was offered a discount at the other location that found a truck for me, but because it was further away than I wanted, I ended up paying double the discount fee in extra mileage! So I was inconvenienced, my move was delayed, and I had to pay MORE MONEY for the truck that I was guaranteed to have! I will never book UHaul again, this company does not know how to operate with the clients in mind, and will walk all over you.

The Guy who checked me in (Chinese) was slow and careless. Not friendly at all, not helpful, rude. And later in the afternoon when I returned the truck, another East Indian girl did the paper work and was probably new, nervous, slow and did not want to provide receipt for the 3 boxes I purchased which is against the law.

Truck should be cleaner, walk through pre and not just post rental might be better. Not sure if till person also responsible for clean up- sounds too much for a single person to man the carwash and the till. Please explain clearly that MPI wont cover this specific rental vehicle, not just the credit cards. Amazing staff otherwise very professional and courteous. Very convenient location and park space. Would definitely use their service again.

The truck wasn't very clean. The location is so much convenient and lots of options for sure, but I didn't like the fact they charged me extras 11 litres of gas, right after I put 25 litres in the tank. I returned the truck with fuel gauge exactly in the same position when I took it. It is totally unfair, I just feel like they were trying to find a way to take more money from me. Next time you probably look for other options before going to u-haul.

I will never go to this location again. The employee working there didn’t know how to hook up the hitch, and when we drove off with the trailer, it came right off. Thankfully it was still in the parking lot and not on the road. He didn’t know what to do so we told him to call the manager. The manager tried to convince us to keep the trailer but we didn’t want it. He begrudgingly let us use a vehicle but not without trying to hustle am extra 100 dollars out of us. We spent more time at the U-Haul rental place than we did actually moving.

Vehicle had traction control light on, drives abnormal. Absurd girl charges when the fuel level is the same when returned. Clerk promise there won't be a fuel charge but then charges me. Will go to the Regent uhaul because they are way better with vehicle and better service.

1 hour delay because of your application 1 hour delay because you didn’t approve me at first. At least 40 minutes waiting on phone to have sn answer. Finally, after 2 hours and after I cancelled my previous order and again ordered a new one I got a truck with just 1 dolly without carpet without 4 weel carrier tool. You have ruined my moving and last night I was in pain because You didn’t provide the required equipment.

My 24/7 pick up did not work. Saad was amazing to help me figure things out. He was able to get me checked out and was super friendly and apologetic that I was having troubles. I would definitely tell people to use this location.
