The trailer had been damaged at the rear door with a hole through the door. It was noted when picked up, the attendant hooking up the trailer had to pull it off another trailer that caused the damage to the door. Since it was just a local trip only need the trailer for a couple hours I didn’t mind it.

The passwnger seat belt wouldn't lock securely,so my wife was worried the entire trip. I was told they were aware of this issue,but there isn't enough maintenance and repairs being performed. Also I was charged more than my bill stated. The employee wasn't up front with rhese overcharged. I was just told Id be relieving an email. I think rhats kind of shady and cowardly not to mention any extra charges amd instead sending it to me Via email so I was not given the opportunity to dispute said charges and or question them in person.

I can't suggest any improvements. The booking was fast and easy, the location had a good selection of well-maintained vehicles, and I was promptly served and well looked after. I will definitely be back, and will recommend this location to my friends, family and colleagues.

I had very disappointing experience with this U haul location. At time of registration they gave me fuel credit of $53 if I fill up fuel up to quarter so at the time of submission I filled fuel of $50 in it but when I went to surrender the guy was different. they actually haven’t given me any credit and charged whole bill. I ultimately loss extra $55 for the trip.

The place is very busy but only one guy was here to exchange coins for washing station and complete u-haul paper work and equipment providing. I would recommend to install a coin machine and separate employee for u-haul or better two since it's to much work just for one person.

Uhaul had stains all over the dashboard and was dusty. It looked like it had not been clean. Customer service was poor, arrived for my scheduled pick up and the uhaul had not been returned by the customer who had it before me. The clerk just told me it wasn't here and just continued helping other customers. I had to ask him if he could call the other customer and find out when the uhaul would be returned of if there were any others available. Would not recommend.

One tire blew out shortly after I went on the highway. It was incredibly worn out. I feel this should have been picked up and corrected before it was rented out

I was able to book the truck the same day which was great. Location was great for me. Customer service was good however I was told I would need to put $25 of gas into the 15ft truck and only travelling 20kms… The truck sat at just shy of half a tank. I feel like this was manipulated to get me to add unnecessary gas to the tank. The needle barely moved and I filled it with $12. The truck gears were very finicky getting into reverse. Air conditioning worked okay. The storage area was not swept out, but I swept it out to avoid getting charged a penalty. Should have been swept out for me before renting. Dropped off the truck, quick and easy, no inspection was done but I was billed appropriately- emailed bill. Pros were quick pick up and drop off. Cost overall was good. 15 ft truck with 19 kms mileage used - gas put in- 6 hours use. $92 - good deal. Would I use this location again -yes I probably would.

The back of truck was full of dirt all over that we had to clean up so we could load belongings into it. There was next to no gas in the tank and garbage all over front of truck. The supplies ordered as extra which was dolly’s and furniture roller were not provided as they didn’t have. Made it hard to do our move with no dolly’s. I was changed an extra $47 gas for not filling tank that we barley used any of as it was almost empty when we got it and didn’t go far. Returned it two hours early and paid same amount. Tried to call to confirm and no answer on phone at business for two days of calling so worried if truck would be there for pick up. All in all not a smooth rental. Would rent again from here. .

The only issue I had was that I had ordered 12 furniture pads to with the truck rental. But there aren't any available when I arrived. The gentleman working there was friendly and offered to remove the charge for the furniture pads from the rental, but that didn't really help that I needed the pads for the move that day. The equipment was good and clean and the customer service was good. I just really needed the pads for the move that day and they should have been available. If they aren't available, then they should not be offered at the time of booking.

​To U-Haul Corporate Management, ​I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a deeply frustrating and completely unacceptable experience with multiple U-Haul locations in Winnipeg (Waverley, Pembina, and Dawson Road) over the past two weeks. The level of service I received ranged from utter incompetence to outright harassment and attempted financial fraud. ​1. Complete Lack of Communication & System Failures For two weeks, I attempted to call multiple Winnipeg locations to book a truck, but no one ever answered the phone. Left with no choice, we drove to the Waverley location in person. After waiting for 15 minutes, the staff member finally informed us that their systems were down and the website wasn't working—a waste of our time that could have been avoided with proper communication. ​2. Last-Minute Route Changes and Financial Penalties Once the website was functional, I successfully booked a 26-foot truck online for the Pembina Highway location. However, just four hours before my scheduled pickup, I received a text message stating my truck was not ready and that I had to pick it up from the Dawson Road location instead. Forcing a customer to change locations at the last minute and expecting them to pay the extra mileage fees incurred by your own logistical failure is entirely unacceptable. ​3. Hostile and Discriminatory Behavior (Pembina Location) When we visited the Pembina location on Saturday at 2:00 PM to resolve the issue, having to waste our gas again, because no one was picking up the phone, the employee on duty was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He aggressively insisted that I didn't even have a reservation, despite the fact that I was looking at my online and text receipts. He repeatedly talked down to me and treated me with utter disdain—a condescending attitude that felt pointedly misogynistic. Because of his hostility, we were forced to reschedule our entire move for the following day. ​4. Discrepancy in Staffing Quality When we finally picked up the truck on Sunday at 10:00 AM from the Pembina location, the experience was entirely different. The older gentleman working the morning shift was incredibly friendly, personable, and professional. When I explained my moving route, he accurately assisted me with my 40 km mileage quote and kindly let us use an appliance dolly free of charge for the inconvenience we had faced. ​5. Attempted Fraud, Lack of Paper Trail, and Further Belittlement Unfortunately, when it came time to return the truck, the rude employee from Saturday was back on shift, and the experience immediately degraded: ​Unprofessional Conduct: He began by making condescending remarks, telling me to make sure my uncle (the driver) "parked it good," as if managing the lot wasn't his own job. ​Attempted Overcharging: He tried to claim I had used 51 km instead of the actual mileage, attempting to bill me for an extra 11 km. ​Refusal to Provide Documentation: He refused to physically check the mileage upon return and vehemently resisted giving me a receipt. He explicitly tried to avoid leaving a paper trail. ​Hostage Tactics: I openly communicated that the dolly was on its way from my house. Instead of processing the truck return transparently, he used the missing dolly as an excuse to stall, refusing to do anything until it arrived, while simultaneously trying to sneak in the false mileage charges. It was like pulling teeth just to get a proper, honest receipt. ​This entire experience was garbage. I am appalled by the behavior of the afternoon employee at the Pembina location. He actively tried to scam me, lie about my reservation, and intimidate me because I demanded an accurate receipt.

Waited for a long time as the servor is not responding and we've to wait for 1 1/2 hour and we've hired the handlers to shifting and we've loose the amount as it was already pre-booked and very disappointed on this and we've to be paid for the handlers even though we've not utilized them.

This location if fine. My issue is with the online booking service. What is the point of filling in a booking online if at the location you need to answer all the same questions about insurance, return time, reprocess the credit card on file. If there is one or two people in front you are in for a 20 minute wait. This should be a scan and go process. I like the equipment and the price is fair.
