Rough start due to disorganization, 45 minutes to receive keys to 10’ truck, despite beating person operating store to confirmation page through the app. Truck had not been checked back in by prior borrower, partial tank and dirty truck bay meant more wasted more time and mileage on gassing and sweeping before use. Discrepancies between what store personnel can see in their UHaul portal vs what is clearly listed on UHaul app and email.

Neither app and website worked at time of pickup and time of drop off. Staff is friendly and helpful, but she can’t get the app or website working either, need to call district manager so I can take the truck. Return is the same story, website and app both not working, need store to manually check in the truck.

Poor communication. The gal did not put the additional equipment I ordered in the truck. She said that the insurance that I added was not added and I would have to call (it was added). She took people in front of me during our transaction. If a customer came in while she was helping me, she would speak to them in a different language and take care of them while I waited. I asked how to turn the equipment in and she said to put the key in the truck and put the lock on it. I did exactly as instructed. The next day she called me and was screaming at me that I did not check in the equipment in on the app and someone was there to rent it. She yelled that I had one minute to get it done and she was going to call me in a minute and make sure I had it done. I told her that the app would not work on my phone. I called UHaul to make sure it was checked in and the representative said that it was and that the location had charged me an additional day. I had taken pictures of the gas gauge (to show full) and the mileage. I had to send in these photos to prove that I checked it in the night before. UHaul did refund the charge for the second day.
