If a vehicle is not available, remove it from your uhaul booking site and when I customer has to drive 30km to go pick up a truck, don’t make them pay for the extra mileage as a result.

Ordered a truck over the phone and specially asked for one that was equipped to tow a utility trailer. Went to pick up truck and it was not equipped to tow a trailer and was told I had to drive to another location to purchase a receiver and ball mount. What a total waste of my time. The sales person offered a 10ft cube van that had the proper equipment, said it will be the same price and mileage per kilometer. He printed out the new order for the new truck , I thought all was ok until I looked at the paperwork , i was being charged the higher rate per kilometer when he said everything will be the same from my previous order. Wasting time again for him to fix the mistake, he worked on printing a new order, finally it was the same price . Drove to pickup the trailer that I purchased from lowes without issues no complaints their for the rental truck. Arrive to return the truck with the same sales person everything was ok in same condition. Finally I thought nothing else could go wrong, he prints out the final bill and it was for the wrong price from my contract, how could this happen I have the contract in my hand. I showed it to him and he tried to fix his mistakes again. He processes a credit to my card but I'm not confident I will be charged correctly, I'm afraid to see my statement, possibly double charges for all the back and fourth with the mistake paperwork.

Ordered 20ft truck, got call 10 min after ordering that truck not available. would have to get from this location and only 15 ft available (this location is 45km away from where I need it), but agreed as 15 ft is ok for length of stuff I am moving. Next day get email saying its a 10ft truck - not ok as this will not fit what I have to move. Call again and confirm it will be 15 ft truck. Get email to confirm. Arrived day of pick up, and they only have 10ft truck. Had to borrow a friends pick up truck in addition to using a useless 10ft that I had to pay for. what is the point of ordering, confirming (tiwce) ONLY to not have what I am promised. Joke. I'll review poorly on Google as well. Tired of this crap from uHaul.

I booked a 5x8 enclosed trailer well in advance so that I could be sure it would be available. I got called the next day and told I had to drive to a further location at a different time, no exceptions. The person on the phone provided terrible customer service. Then to top it all off, the lights on the trailer didn't work properly!

Our original pick up location (right by our home) did not have the truck we had rented. We had to be sent across the city to another location, only to drive back to pick up our items to move. As a result, we went over the allowed mileage (a small amount, but it's still the principal of it). We were also not offered the $50 off for out reservation not being fulfilled properly. Overall not a great experience, but the staff was very pleasant and apologetic

the guys at this location were great! quick and efficient. great customer service. I will add though that the company on a whole I was not happy with as I was scheduled to pick up a van at the big bear at 310 limerdige rd W. I got there and was told I couldn't use the van there, and then was told I recieved voice mall informing me of location switch, Which I certainly did not. I was told to go to The wentworth location, then that changed to the rymal location adding more Kilometers to my trip ultimately making me pay more, when there were many other locations closer to me. this is something that should have been addressed from the customer service on the phone.

This isn't towards to location, but the mobile check in was extremely slow and wasted 30 mins of my paid time. It would have been faster to do in person as they had 3 staff members on hand that were just sitting there while I waited for the website to load. I will never use it again. Secondly, I called to extend my time and after having it approved I got a call from this location that they actually had someone renting after me and that I could not extend my time. There clearly needs to be a better scheduling system to avoid this.

I booked a small cube van online which was very easy to do. The young gentleman that assisted me when I picked up the truck was very polite and completed the paperwork quickly and I was on my way within 10 minutes at the most. I would definitely rent from this location again.

More instruction: when I returned the vehicle after hours, I couldn’t find the key pad to enter my code to open the gate. Then, when I left the vehicle parked behind the gate and I exited with my own vehicle, I signed in online to return my rental. At that point I found out I needed to take pictures of the gas odometer and location of the vehicle. It was too late as I had already left the vehicle behind the gate. Instructions on these items would have bettered my experience. As well, letting me know the engine turns off when you break and stop, and how to open the tailgate would have been helpful.

I was charged for having a dolly even though there wasn't brought up while I was paying for options. Then they charged for me not returning said dolly but I had no idea I was charged initially and I never got a dolly in the first place. Then I emailed customer service to lodge my complaint about paying a fine for the missing dolly and no one replied back. I blame the gentlemen that was working there this past Sundsy Oct 13th as he was out of it or hungover or something. The other fellow there was great though and seemed to realize his co worker was not all there.

My 3:30pm reservation was for a truck and 2 furniture dollies. I had to pick up 3 pieces of furniture from uhaul storage, then pick up 2 more at a furniture store that is on the way to my apartment where I would drop all 5. About a 2 hour job, depending on traffic. Several hours before my reservation, I received a call from a uhaul rep who told me that the truck I rented was not returned, and switched me to a cargo van. Upon arrival I found out that the cargo van was not a cube van, it was just a regular soccer mom van with the back seats removed. Can't move my furniture with that. Nearest location with a suitable truck was a few miles away. When I picked up the truck there was only 1 furniture dolly, and no second folly was available. I didn't get out of the second uhaul location until around 4:15. Drove to the furniture store first, backtracked to my storage at the first uhaul location, then back last the now closed furniture store to my apartment where I unloaded with only one dolly. A 2 hour job became a 4 hour job, and the second location's lights were out when I returned the truck at about 7:50 pm. They were supposed to be open until 8:00, but had decided to close early. Thankfully one of the employees hadn't left yet and was able to open the security gate do i could get my car out. When I received my email bill the next day, they charged me for the 2 dollies that I reserved instead of the 1 that I received, and there was about $35 in mileage from all the backtracking. It should have been closer to $20 in mileage. I called uhaul to have the charge for the second dolly removed, and uhaul agreed to discount the mileage for the distance between the two uhaul locations. Staff was friendly and polite, but service is somewhat lacking. And I am definitely going to check my credit card statement to see I'm still being charged for that second dolly. when I returned the truck, because thronged decided to close a few minuSo I had to drive back to the other uhaul to empty out my storage, then to prior custoer had not returned

Just a disaster. Took over an hour to get the truck. The staff was so frustrated with the computers. People were walking away from purchases because it was taking so long. Staff indicated that it wasn't their fault and that head office was to blame. I gather there was some sort of computer update going on. Also, I had booked a reservation for 2 days and when I arrived I was told that I only had 1 day available to me. Furthermore the price that I paid per km was higher than I was quoted on the phone. Moving is rarely a pleasant experience and the wasted time, inaccuracy of the reservations and overall ineptitude compounded the frustration of the day. I would like to dispute my payment and hope that head office will waive my payment on my Visa. Awful, just awful experience.
