Upon making a reservation via the phone, I was connected with an extremely rude woman titled “reservations manager”. She was angry and impolite to me from the beginning of our conversation, and was impatient when uhaul' odd protocol regarding first-come, first-serve dollys needed to be explained to me.

This is the third time I've used this location and they are the best. They are organized, pleasant, kind and most importantly SAFE.

They do NOT allow for Auto Pickup. Instead of posting the steps to rent a truck they take your time and surprise you with the half hour ppwrk and license uploading.

The only yet important issue I had is my truck was not available the day I intended to pick it up. I was told from the customer service rep who booked my reservation online that a truck was available for the date I requested and that I had secured the vehicle. It was stressful and alternative options meaningfully expensive if I had to make last minute changes to my plans. I took a “stand by” option hoping another truck would be available later that day. Fortunately one was available at the same rate/deal I originally arranged and my plans were only slightly effected. Emotionally, it was very stressful. I would not chose Uhaul again without multiple confirmations/assurances that the vehicle is in fact available at the exact date and time in which the reservation was made.

I was diappointed about the fact that I had called to change the reservation to go under my fiance's name who was picking up the truck and the girl I spoke to assured that the name and licese that I had uploaded was changed yet when he went to pick up the truck it was not recoreded at all. I also called to say that we needed the truck until the next morning where the customer service attendant assured we would not be charged extra if we turned the truck in ar 3:45 the next day. Yet we we were charged $200.

I feel I was overcharged for my one way move to Fayetteville NC. Your representatives said, it was due to the holiday, and very high demand due to COVID. Now is not the time to overcharge customers. We all are trying to stay safe and well through this pandemic.

Customer service over the phone sucks rent a a truck in Westchester county had to like 40 dollars in a uber to 23 st in manhattan very inconvenient for me

I tried to pick up a uhaul on 1599 Lexington and the computer was down and had to be re routed to Chelsea, which was a large inconvenience. Upon returning the uhaul they had closed 20 minutes early and had horrible customer service from those working the front desk who were rude and disrespectful. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have had.

The fee structure feels unnecessarily nickel-and-dimey. The $19.95 on the side of the trucks is laughable once you get the back story. That said, the overall cost of my rental was very reasonable. Just feels like a slow death by a thousand cuts. Give me a simple all inclusive hourly rate, please.

Confusing check-in process, rude person at the front who checked me in, told me to go to the wrong garage, could barely hear what she was saying when she spoke to me so I had to ask her to repeat herself clearly various times

I was supposed to pick up the truck in the Bronx on the Grand Concourse and 144th street but I got a message right before I got there saying that I had to go to the Manhattan location. I was moving from the Bronx. It delayed my move and cost me extra money to get to Manhattan. Also Bronx location had a full lot of trucks. They said non of them were for a one way trip. Not buying that one.

First of all my reservation was changed entirely and I could not drop off the vehicle where I needed to, I had to return it where I picked it up and ended up paying double the price. Extremely rude on your end and essentially stealing from me. Awful experience. Furthermore the staff at Chelsea location was unhelpful, rude, and were not able to answer necessary questions. I will not do business with you again.

1. There was coffee spilled in the cup holders that had not been wiped up when I got the van. 2. There was no windshield-wiper fluid. 3. They did not warn me that your 15' van does not really fit the contents of a 1 bdr house - 2 bdr apt as advertised even when packed by professional movers.

the seat was pretty ripped and the steering wheel was gross and worn alot. worker added to much bleach and water for disinfection, before handing out vehicle. together with heat on i needed to cough and my eyes hurt because it was unbearable. cup holder was full with water on bottom, and if taken out content on bottom of was dripping on your clothing.

The person who help me at the desk was very impersonal, almost like a robot, couldn't understand the memorized words and rental process, when asked her to repeat, she had an attitude like I had to know the process and procedures to rent a truck. Then the person handling the truck delivery and acceptance was not helpful at all. I was charged for 2,2 GL of gas. Well I have pictures that show the meddle was in the same level as when I picked up the truck. Unfortunately we don't have many options in the city for Uhaul rentals and I will have to go back to this location where I felt not welcomed and dust received a good customer service.

The damage waiver was added to my bill which I had specifically declined online and in my reservation because Amex covers it. My boyfriend Steve picked up the rental (under his name) and used his Amex as well to cover it....so my online reservation shows about a $40 charge and then the receipt was $90. Not happy about that.

Online reservations, online and email confirmations, and signage inside garage for returns says after hours drop off is available, yet, inside the location there were small signs and I was told that the vehicle had to be returned same day or early morning to avoid additional days charged. This is unacceptable. I only chose this location to bring the vehicle back same day after hours.

i locked myself out of the truck with the key and my cell phone and rental paperwork inside. Once i was able to get the emergency road service number for help it took over 40 minutes for someone to answer. The recording kept suggesting i log in on my phone for a faster response. Hard to do in my situation. Very frustrating. But all ended well.

Hving to scan my own driver's license and having to fill out the forms about the condition of the van myself. I find that annoying. What if a person doesn't have a cell phone with a camera? Why should I have to do that? For the money I paid for my rental, I expect more from Uhaul. I also had to move a box away from the front of the desk to even get close enough to the young woman working there to make the rental transaction. I liked Uhaul better when it was not dependent upon my cell phone.
