The staff was slow and unorganized. I was given grief when your reader didn't accept my first credit card chip. After the reservation ended, and the truck was returned, i paid the initial invoice. A month later, i got another invoice for the tolls to and from my destination. Paid no problem. A month later, i get another invoice for $2.40 worth of tolls. Seriously, a $2.4 Billion dollar corp. had to bother me for $2.40 nearly 2 months after my reservation. That really cheap and frankly patheticZachARY S.

I think when you reserve on line you should be able to complete transaction with credit card on line. Or have a line for reserved customers only. This will help eliminate line from being so long. Better online transactions.Joanne C.

I normally don't fill out surveys like this, but the experience I had yesterday at the u-Haul location at 536 W 23rd St, New York, NY 10011 was the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. I walked away from the entire interaction sobbing. I came to return the truck I had rented for the day, and there was another truck already parked in the "equipment return" drive way. I decided my best bet was to park next to that drive way given the signage at the location (there are 3 loading docks with signs that say "equipment return" so I parked under one of those. The MOMENT I pulled into that parking spot a U-Haul employee came running out cussing at me saying, "don't fucking park there." When I rolled down my window to ask for directions of what to do since there was another truck in the driveway he threw his hands in the air said, "forget you" and walked away. Left on my own I decided to get out of the truck to try and figure out where to return keys. I was told I needed to move the truck into the driveway and would be helped...but this location is in the middle of manhattan and there was already another vehicle in the spot. I ended up trying to back the truck up and pull it into the lot, but was having a difficult time navigating around all of the other trucks in the lot. At this point, I got out of the truck again explaining that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull the truck in given all of the other equipment and asked for help. I was AGAIN screamed at by an associate who said "it's not my job to return your truck." and walked away from me. FINALLY after almost 45 minutes of maneuvering around equipment I was able to pull the truck into the garage. At this point I got out of the truck and the first associate didn't even look me in the face and said, "you'll get an email receipt." I still had the keys in my hand and asked where I hand off the keys...and he walked away from me. At this point, I'm the verge of tears and end up walking the keys into the front desk. I ended up walking away, like I said, sobbing. Regardless of the fact that I was a paying customer I was treated horribly as a general human at this location.Sydney W.
The front of house rep was extremely rude. I started the booking process online to see if the truck I needed was available, and it was. I didn't finish online because I was walking in. When I asked for the 15', she said none were available with a dismissive tone. I said the website was about to let me book it, and she said "so do it there." So I did, and suddenly a 15' truck was available for me. Then I had to wait for her to finish texting her friend before she would pull up my booking. All around a bad look. Please understand that she literally showed me why her own job isn't necessary.Joshua C.

Pick up was smooth and easy. I did check in on the app before hand and to my knowledge this probably saved us a few minutes. There was someone out front who was able to answer most of our questions - where we would physically get the car, where to grab the dolly, where to put the car when we returned, etc. Moving in the city is always challenging, but I'm grateful this process did not add any extra stress to the day.michael H.

No such thing as an express check in to retrieve the truck. Going forward customers should be informed they need to go inside and retrieve paperwork instead I thought I could check in on the app and proceed. The app would also always lose connection so very difficult finishing check in. Stressful processFernando G.
