Hector DI originally booked my Uhaul at a different location. The norning of the closing on my house I went to pick up the Uhaul and they didn’t have it. That was the Margate location in Broward County Fl. After wasting an hour of my time I was sent to the Broward Blvd location. I would like some compensation. For the movers I was paying for to sit and wait for two hours. Someone please call me asap. 954-993-3889
Lemuel NHORRIBLE, the most rude, unprofessional and disorganized u-haul facility I have ever been tooo!!! they first gave me a storage unit that was someone else’s, then they gave me another storage unit and told me HOURS after I moved in that I had to move my stuff out … I told them that was inconvenient and just not possible so they DENIED my access back into the unit even AFTER I paid. The manager was rude and not helpful, the staff was super unprofessional. I have NO access to my stuff and yet they charged my card & still want me to move it.

DISCO SI rented a trailer, one of the tires looked rough. I asked for a new tire to be put on due to the fact I had a 1200 mile trip. Was advised tire was fine and no replacement would be done. I had a blowout less than half way into my trip. No reason to send equipment out that is a hazard to anyone’s safety.
JOSHUA BBefore renting out the trucks, it is essential to exterminate any infestations. The truck I rented was infested with roaches, which is completely unacceptable.
ERTHA JI would recommend this location to a friend. However, the trailer I rented was full of black grease and dirty.

QUINTON HWell first I always pay 47 for a U-Haul I never change anything up this time I ended up 71 dollars for a two hour U-Haul when I did nothing different i came to the store maybe 5 mins before closing the guy inside didn’t let me inside so I had to use the app which didn’t work and also the van was dirty has juice cans inside I’m assuming from the previous people overall just disappointed

Roland A | Overall ExperienceI experienced discrimination at this Uhaul from Patrice Faulkner (according to her this is her name). When I came in to pick up my rental trailer she was very rude, she also insinuated I was going to steal their trailer and then she asked 3 times if I was going to bring their trailer back. I got upset and I was going to leave to rent it somewhere else but when I got back to my car, my wife insisted for us to come in after I told her what I experienced. We went back into the store and she asked “Ms. Patrice” why she asked me if I was bringing the trailer back if that’s what the contract says and if she asks this to every single customer? To which she denied having told me anything . I don’t know this woman and i have no reason to lie on what she said. My wife asked for the manager to realize the manager was next to her the entire time and he did not once said anything. He just looked at my wife walked away and disappeared. This happened at the time I picked my rental and I’m sure it’s all recorded. We had walked out but came back for the rental because it’s not fair that we would have to go find another place to get it from because of the unprofessionalism and rudeness of Patrice. What time type of management do you all have at this place??? I am totally dissatisfied with the treatment I received here as I had never experienced this before.

Also the uboxes were not out and available for me until I in person requested them to be taking out of the sotrage unit which is contary to the text message interaction with the ubox staff over the phone.

EVE HAfter hours pickup was not processed so I had to wait until they opened to collect my rental truck. Customer service agent did a good job. Truck exterior was dirty. Steering was out of adjustment, needed an alignment. Sunday morning, only one employee arrived on time, all others were late.
MICHAEL GI had a very positive experience with U-Haul storage facility and staff. From start to finish/move out, everything was easy to access and the customer service was unmatched! From the check-in desk to the young men working on trailers and hitches outside…everyone was kind and very helpful.

This location is close to my home so I use them but they get worse every time I have to come here. Only person that was polite was the guy that I returned the truck to outside. He told me about the gas and miles I used in a very polite manner. And even said have a nice day, that’s the first time I’ve heard that in a long time at this location.

There need to be more people hired to work at this location.

I picked another one and there was a water leak in the hallway from The AC dripping water constantly. Hallway Floor was partially flooded and luckily didn’t get into My unit but definitely I did get into the first two units, only 3 units away from mine. The water spill wasn’t cleaned up from one day to the next which is worrisome. I paid for extra insurance in case of water damage but that would have been horrible and needs to be addressed ASAP. I would not store here again because of this risk. Overall my experience was average. The staff were really helpful when I had questions. It did seem a bit short staffed as I’d have to wait for help.

My unit was located at the end of the hall where there was no ac vent. It was often blocked by things of other people or by the open doors attempting to cool of the hallway. Upon moving, roaches were crawling out from the boxes. I don't get why I was charged price increases every so often. Rent should go up annually and renters should rewarded when they make payments every month on time for 2 years. Not charged more. The day before when I was inquiring about truck rentals..... there was a line and it was very hot. The cashier was on her phone instead of ask for the next in line. She doesn't greet making it appear as if she' does not like her job. But she gets nicer as she speaks. I went with Pensje for a moving truck. They were more cost effect.

But you could have at least help with something. When you had people come out there and do estimates & taking pictures. Wam guessing for them not for us.. then other thing the payments keep going up. That’s why I lost the rest of my things .. trying to keep a roof over my family’s head didn’t know the bill was so high because they say one thing and email says other things.. so now that everything is gone because I couldn’t afford it. You did what you had to do.. some of the people that work there probably took some of them. Talking about an auction..

This never made business sense; it felt like an opportunity to take advantage of your current customer base who had been loyal, while a new customer coming off the street would get a better deal up front. I had pleasant experiences with your employees but they just "go by a script" and do not have the power to enact customer goodwill on their own. That's sad but typical. You should empower them more.

The closeout process was simple. It definitely made me open to U-Haul storage in the future. My particular storage unit, number 1724, had a roof leak of some kind toward the front of the unit. Had I had water sensitive materials in that location, they would’ve been ruined. It was significant amount of water. In fairness, I did not report it! But FYI. Also, there was no access to light or electricity. At least a light in my unit would’ve been helpful. And a plug would’ve been a bonus.

And the price for storage facilities are getting higher here almost every few months.

She made the most effort to try to resolve the continual problems we had with this facility. The storage facility overall is an eyesore and the units are poorly designed. They are dingy and quite frankly it looks like a prison. I could not I good faith, recommend this location to anyone. As far as management, there is a lot to be desired. My experience with this location has been very poor from the start and I personally, would not do business with them ever again. The lack of organization and attention to detail at the higher levels is simply not in place. Issues were continual and only got resolved because I had to ask repeatedly for them to be resolved. . This location is a far cry from the U-Haul locations that I have conducted business with in the past. It could stand for a complete overhaul. There are many changes that need to take place with this location. Truly it was a disappointing experience. I am glad to have ended my business with them. They are not a location I would use in the future nor would I recommend them to anyone that I know. They are not operating up to standards in my professional opinion. Perhaps management will take the time to reflect and make the appropriate changes to improve customer satisfaction. I personally, am not optimistic that this will happen as it has been a series of unfortunate events.

Upon move out, I notified staff and requested I get the lock I purchased with the unit. Long story short, I did not receive the lock I purchased. When I originally purchased the unit, I was not notified about 24 hour access, which was very inconvenient. Staff was not the most personable. Not a good experience.

Know available rental @ the property 2800 property. I, had to go to another location in (Pembroke Pines). That had a readily available 20' fully loaded with gas. Bam-Bam. Finally, I was on my way. My, reservation started out extremely bumpy. Fortunately, my rental experience was a HAPPY SUCCESSFUL ENDING......After all it wasn't technically the locations negligence that a/my rental wasn't readily available. Linda G | First ImpressionsI originally scheduled my storage unit with Sentry, an affiliate of U-Haul I was directed to by a U-Haul employee over the phone. I went to complete my reservation, driving one hour in the 20 foot box truck with auto transport, and they informed me that they would not honor the first month free promotion that came with my rental arrangement. I needed to call and make a new reservation, which I did. I drove another half hour to the new location. When I arrived at the Broward Boulevard location, employees locked the doors at five minutes to closing and refused to help me. I had arranged for not only my storage unit, but also to leave the truck and auto transport there instead of my original drop off location. I called customer service who instructed me to leave it there and come back. I cam back the next day and the only available storage unit was smaller than I originally requested and there was no way I could fit my things in it. I asked for my original size and was directed to a phone call on an employees phone with Chuck Seeds, who I was told is the general manager. This man offered to have me come back the next day to resolve the issues with him. I asked about my time and gas, he got rude with me and accosted me for leaving the truck where I did then hung up on me abruptly. I am discouraged from interacting with anyone with this company now. They have either been unhelpful and impatient, or outright rude and unprofessional.

The staff that I've had the most unfortunate interaction with, don't seem to have graduated high school or barely skated by. I understand various unpredictable emotions have been promoted due to the pandemic. However, basic friendly (even if it's fake) communication is so lacking with the staff I've interacted with handling my storage needs. When I first arrived to this location after a lovely drive from Dallas, Texas (with my 6' x 12' Van Trailer attached to my Kia Sportage - contract # 23023104), Alicia Mitchell made a clerical error with my return date. No biggie, it can be resolved and the $80 overcharge was later refunded. My contact person's name was entered incorrectly because Alicia didn't bother to confirm the information. I understand it can be slightly difficult to understand someone who's wearing a mask, if you don't care to try. I'm an epidemiologist and I work in hospitals where we communicate clearly with masks on, while tending to patients lives. She could have turned her screen for me to view the information and confirm its accuracy, or printed out a document to confirm with me but, that's the past. Again, no biggie, but she failed to confirm my access code number. That long drive from Dallas by myself was quite taxing. Here I am ready to unload all my stuff, just need to open the door. But here's Alicia complicating a simple procedure that kindergarteners can do with ease. The issue was later resolved. My last interaction with the staff at this location finally came September 4, 2020. Contract 788052-117382 for all the deets. I had the utmost displeasure to be served by Zaria Johnson. She asked how she could help me and for my name. She located me in her computer and asked me if I knew I had to be there by 12pm. I told her, "no, I just flew in". She replies, "oh you flew here, from where?". Perplexed, not understanding the relevance of this; I tell her "Virginia". She continues, "Oh well you were suppose to be here by 12pm". I chuckle while saying, "well I got here when I got here" and I shrugged my shoulders (It's about 3pm at the time). She directs me to where I can pull my car to, and I remind her (because paying attention is seemingly not a requirement in the hiring profile for the employees I interacted with), that I don't have a car, I have a unit here. Which she should have seen in her system when she located me, but Zaria doesn't do well with paying attention. If she had, she should have been able to conceptualized that I was emptying out unit 1313, transporting those items to the U-Box and moving it to Virginia. Subsequently, she would have informed me that once I empty out my storage unit, utilize that same lock to lock my U-Box when I'm finished. But! That didn't happen. I was not informed I needed to lock the U-Box. When she walked me and my brother to the U-box (after, I suppose, her attempt to chastising me for being "late", not sure - didn't ask didn't care, fresh off the plane and we had a full storage unit to empty; in the 90 degree heat as we walked to their garage, where Zaria showed us where the U-Box is), she removed the velcored tarp from the box, opened the box and said here you go and went back inside. No instructions. No "come back inside to check out or be sure to do this", nothing no instructions whatsoever. So when I received a voice message from the manager Michael Brown the following day - after I returned back home to Virginia, that my U-Box needed a lock, I just knew these mini property managers that work here do not have the proper hiring profile to do this job successfully. I will say that Michael Brown was very attentive and patient when listening to me about my experience with his staff. To remedy the issue with the lock, he provided a lock free of charge for the U-Box, and I made arrangements for the key to be delivered to me. I appreciate him for this and for acknowledging the bad customer service that he wasn't pleased to hear about. It should come as no surprise that I will never return to this location, and even though I live in Virginia, I will most definitely tell others not to come here - if they can avoid it.
