They stole my money I called customer service to file a complaint they don’t want to do anything so I lose my money no good I don’t recommend this store. I give zero stars I want my money back because these people stolen my money.
CAIN DThis location was surrounded by the unhoused population that is rampant in Albuquerque. I understand that it's no fault of the company when the unhoused are simply everywhere, but it does make any transaction process in this neighborhood a little scary. I didn't want to park my personal vehicle to go into the building because of the sheer number of unhoused individuals milling around the parking lot. The gentleman inside indicated that this was a cashless operation because of the neighborhood. Wow. Good choice. The gentleman also indicated that we had to wait for the truck to be unlocked before we could depart because if the truck beds were left unlocked, the unhoused population would start fires in the trucks! Sheesh! That's not safe! I hope that the company is providing hazard pay to the individuals in this location. It's definitely not anywhere I would want to work.

BRANDEE MThe employees at this location were just fine in terms of kindness and professionalism. However, I reserved my truck ahead of time and it took quite some time to check out the vehicle. In the future, I would prefer to do the auto checkout since I didn't save time. Upon getting my truck, the cab had a strong odor of trash; given that I needed to move, I did not return for another truck. The vehicle was ostensibly clean, but, wow, did it smell. The truck iteself seemed in poor repair (dripping a liquid, very poor acceleration).

GWENDOLYN HThe guys at the Central location were great. Excellent customer service, with senses of humor to boot. Cargo van was easy to drive. The rubber mat on the cargo area floor is a great innovation. I was also really impressed by the gas mileage (around 20 mpg, most at highway speeds around 75 mph). One final cool thing: Whether it was the person who checked me out in the morning or U-Haul's software, it switched me from the $19.95/day plus $.79/mile that I signed up for to $89.00/day plus 100 free miles plus $.49/mile over 100 when I said that I was planning on driving 120 miles. Saved me some money. Very honest. (Breakeven point was around 87 miles apparently.) Thanks U-Haul!
THOMAS PI would have given an excellent rating, but you've removed the moving-carts from storage which makes it extremely difficult for a senior citizen to move.

RENTERIA MThe truck only had a half tank of gas when we picked it up. It broke down outside of Amarillo TX , day two of a three day trip. We ended up have to swap trucks and lost a whole day waiting for the issue to be resolved. Horrible experience!!!

I’m pretty livid about my experience…first I’m moved from the location closest to my house to a location 10 miles away…both ways and I HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT MILEAGE!! Next…I reserved an appliance dolly…not one in the entire city of Albuquerque…unbelievable!!!!!!! Next…I took a truck with have a tank of gas and when I bring the truck back you all want to charge $18 for gas after I only put 32 miles on the truck…SERIOUSLY!!!! Maybe make sure the employees are paying attention to what’s going on with the trucks. The truck was great and did the job I needed done but truly, you all need to make sure things are available and if not…let the customer know. Also, make sure we’re paying for what needs to be paid for and nothing more.

We had to be called over by the other guy who was professional.

TERRY WThe trailer was in great shape! Wish the ramp and opening was wide enough to accommodate motorcycle trikes up to 5' wide. The sides of the trailer could be smaller making the opening to the trailer wider. Many more motorcycle riders would be happy to use your trailers rather than buying a trailer that is rarely used.

Paul S | Overall ExperienceWe were absolutely hesitant to store our stuff at this location, especially outside furthest from the office. The whole area is unsafe and full of robberies. Our initial storage location we secured was closed on the day we needed to move so this was a very last resort choice. We honestly thought our storage unit would have been broken into at least once. We didn’t expect to get our stuff out of storage because we expected it to get stolen. Over a year later, we secured all of our belongings safely. The staff made sure to monitor the units at all hours of the day. They were always so friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this location despite its location. Great staff!

The entire time he stood there at the door commenting and acting exasperated that we were taking so long. I felt intimidated, bullied, and harassed. Even my movers, who are very familiar with the staff and facility, were surprised and not happy with his treatment of us. We even tried to talk to him about letting us finish, but he was absolutely not having it and was making excuses about the location of the facility as to why we weren’t keep loading my unit. 10/10 will NOT be using this facility for long.

I could not enter the unit due to bent door as a result of Dec 2023 vandalism. So Jan 2024 when it was not fixed I moved. Homeless people were everywhere including in the facility. Sleeping in the trash bin making that unusable, laying on the side of the building. Several gathering and sharing their finds. Obviously not a safe place to be. The door was unlocked frequently but when it was,one of the home less phoned inside and another came from inside and opened it! Please thank Andres for all the years of excellent care.

It's in a rough part of town, and there were no security gates. The parking lot was frequently littered with broken furniture and other trash. I watched people taking drugs, others passing out on the sidewalk near the storage unit. So while the staff did their best to keep the facility secure and presentable, I did not feel particularly safe there.

antonio m | First ImpressionsI booked this storage unit online weeks in advance. It was the only uHaul facility in town with a 10’x15’ storage unit. I reserved it when there were a few left. I get here and the man didn’t even know if this facility had any and then put my in a 10’x10’ unit with nothing more than a $8 lock for free as compensation. Afterwards he said that he “thinks” they have 10’x15’ units just none available but he wasn’t even sure because he apparently didn’t know how to use the computer system that tells him what they have. If I wanted a 10’x10’ unit I could have chosen a more convenient facility than that one. I chose that one because it was supposed to be the only one in town with 10’x15’ units. I do not like having to stack boxes so high. One, I’m short, 2 if they fall, my stuff is broken and it’s on my dime to replace it. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income I can’t afford to replace my things. When I turned in my 6’x12’ enclosed trailer he just said he would send me an email for the return and I have yet to receive said email.

In the few months we were storaing our belongings there, many of the units were broken into. When I approached management, got excuses about hir8ng private security, that never happened. Put up a fence for crying out loud. I will never store anything at Uhaul ever again. The truck rentals are flipping awesome, stick to that.

Security, there is no fence surrounding the property, this means the property is at risk. The staff , only have good thing to say, Courteous and professional. This is near a military installation, and making good money on storage; however, it is a disappointment (because of Maintenance and security), which there’s no excuse for ;because, making good money on government storage. My trailer attached had also not had not had a proper safety check and look as though had been repaired( however, door came undone at destination). I will be seeking another storage facility in ABQ, I don’t feel safe and because of COVID-19 Cleanliness is a needed priority. This will create an inconvenience to me and cost me money. Because of the facility condition had no choice, but to carry insurance. I feel when a service is involved there are expectations for safety and cleanliness. .

I'd often try to pay my storage rent with $100 and seeing my rent was $95 I wouldn't think $5 in return would be huge strain but I was always treated like I was a nuisance. Items for towing, moving, storage and renting storage units are available to purchase but regardless no change. I found syringes in the elevator while visiting my unit on more than one occasion. Also my rent was going to be increased which prompted me to look at other facilities. Come to find out that I was paying much more compared to other Uhaul locations and with the increase at this location I was able to rent a bigger unit at a different location with better amenities. Other than the only Lady that works in the office the rest of the staff were unpleasant, unhelpful, rude and lazy. Never moving from in front of the computer screen or doing anything to genuinely assist customers. I'd never recommend this facility.
