so I was originally supposed to pick up a 10 ft truck at Rod's Towing on Maynardville Pike. I get there and no one is there and there is no 10 ft truck. Only a 15 ft truck. After 45 minutes on the phone, numerous drops and transfers from person to person, I was told to go to Clinton Hwy and pick up a 20 ft truck. Just a reminder, I only need a 10 ft truck. I get to clinton hwy, and they only have a 26 ft truck. Person was very helpful, but I ultimately had to take a 26 ft truck when I reserve a 10 ft truck 2 weeks in advance.

TIMOTHY TEnsure that equipment is free of damage by doing a full inspection/walk-thru, rather than simply directing to the back lot of hunt for the vehicle (upon return I noticed a hole in the roof that I did not cause, but I was charged for).
EDWARD EI believe I was given the worst truck on the lot. It was slow to pick up speed, super loud as if transmission work was needed. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied 😒

I had a low clearance vehicle and his stupid ass said “don’t use wood” where the video specifically says to use wood on a low clearance vehicle. Then I spent over an hour there with two random customers to help me. Then his retarded ass walked away and said “ they’re going to help you”
Bakary BCustomer service was absolutely horrible! The dolly I requested was not provided and “no dolly’s were available in Knoxville area” when the employee asked when she needs to do his reply was, “what the hell do you want me to do about it” after that interaction I had to wait another 20 minutes to wait for them to come out of the back while 5 other customers were waiting in line. Absolutely no gas was left in the truck and I had to go in the back parking lot to find my truck, when normally they pull them up front for pick up.

Judy MThe vehicle had 1/4 tank of fuel when I picked it up (the form said 3/8 of a tank, but the person with me even verified it was not. I couldn't take the time to go back in because I had already been delayed due to their online reservation issues and then waiting for 10 minutes because there were other customers at the counter and on the phone). I drove 46 miles total. I put $7 in fuel just before returning it to bring it back to the level I had rented it, however, the next day I had a fuel charge of $17.13 added to my credit card. $24.13 for a 46 mile drive doesn't make sense.

Michael PTrailer inspection (ready to rent) should have noticed defective tire. Luckily I noticed the defect when loading vehicle. A quick call to roadside assistance ended with a new Tire being installed. This prevented a blowout from occurring during my trip.

ROBERT JInitial visit was just OK. Visit to store found only one person trying to service too many customers. Return of equipment was not much different. Returning furniture dolly afterward (it was at a store with heavy furniture on it and a return was necessary to turn it in.) This was the problem! No one had opened the store, and we were several patrons waiting thirty minutes or more. Several of us left. I had tried to return the dolly two days before, but each time the store was closed. The several trucks turned in had lift gates open (lots of homeless in the area, and I did not want to leave the dolly inside one of them.) Always, before I would have recommended this location, but from now on, I will not go to Clinton Highway, but to the Halls location.

KATHY WMen employees were cussing and telling the girls working they could do it while they just went outside and played on there phones. This was very disappointing and I was overcharged by 50 Dollars. Still can't get ahold of anyone about this. The day of incident was 3/1/2025. I am 110 percent sure there was a lot of complaints. A young guy who they said was the bosses son was very rude. If that's our new generation then I feel sorry for my kids. This is the worst U haul location I have ever had the disappointment of using I would definitely tell everyone to avoid this location.
JOHN BYour attendant couldn't even read the gas gauge, and charged me an $80 refuel charge even though it was completely full. Then instead of refunding it i was double charged. It was not fixed before I had to leave because my Uber was going to leave me. Then when i called about it to your customer service, I was told it would be about a week before I would get a refund

Woods HI made my reservation about 2 weeks in advance. A few days before pickup a received a text that my reservation had been changed to guarantee my equipment. There were multiple other uhaul store closer to my house than the one on my reservation had been updated to. My reservation was for a 15’ truck. When I arrived to pick up the truck it was a 20’ truck and they did not have the dolly I reserved. The truck had a damaged starter?, the passenger door lock was damaged from someone trying to pick the lock, there was a sticky lighter in passenger door handle. It seemed like a rent-a-wreck. I think that location was trying to send this wreck to another state so they didn’t have it in their inventory for local rentals.
MICHAEL NBetter training for employees the young man that wrote me up had me waiting an hour and 15 min to rent a car dolley due to his inexperience with the computer he kept telling me that my truck would not haul the Honda civic on the dolley after about 5-6 times of him trying to set up in the computer he finally reached out to a young lady for help and come to find out he had that I was using the Honda civic to haul the truck end result I had an hour and 15 min wasted then when everything was done I had to wait another 30 min to have a new right light assembly installed because it didn’t work all this delayed me getting home an extra two hours

MARK PSeveral things were wrong starting with advertising services that they don't have any control of. Uhaul has an added feature for loading and unloading help, we purchased both of those and only loading help showed up. After multiple calls to Uhaul I was told Uhaul has nothing to do with that, if that is the case then, why dors Uhaul collect the money. We paid for this service for a reason and that reason wasn't to be put off till Monday when someone in management would be available to find the answer as to why the unloaders didn't show being that the truck had to be returned on Sunday My advise would be to do your homework pryer to using Uhaul and their failed system.

KIMBERLY PHad run arounds between a few stores in the Knoxville area & eventually reached customer service where they gave me a quote and the first 30 miles free due to being mislead by the stores saying they don’t have the Size truck even though they did. & in person they didn’t honor it and gave me even more run arounds they said it would “Be investigated” & get back to me on that. But I know how that works.

I was told I would be pro-rated for the move from one storage unit to another at the same facility. That never happened, and I was basically ignored. If in the future I need Uhaul services I would drive out of my way for his help.

He then asked for an emergency contact number and had to give my stepmom's phone AND address. After he bumbled through the process, he asked me to pick a code and then said "Really?" after I gave him one. He handed me the paperwork after with no instructions. I had to ask him what my storage number was and where to go. He just pointed and I had to figure it out myself. The code I gave him also didn't work and had to go back to the office to get a temporary one since custom ones "don't work right away." I've stored stuff at other U-Haul locations and loved it... Very helpful staff and convenient equipment like rolling carts. But this place... let's just say I will only be there a month until I find better accommodations.

When I got to the drop off center in Clinton, Tn to uinload my trailer, I didn't have a resevation and the person working at the Clinton location informed me that he was not going to give me the sized storage bin that I need for free. The service provider would oly give me the sized storage bin that he thought I needed, which I explained to him was not large enough to accomadate all of my belongings, he told me that he did not care and that it was. To makke a long story short I ended up with a storage bin that is way to small and I've had to find somewhere else to store my things.

Items mysteriously disappeared out of it & the lock would sometimes be turned backwards from the way I placed it. Since the new office & truck facility was built next door, it seemed that there were no cameras on the actual storage units, & a property next to it could have provided access over the fence due to the difference in ground levels. The price kept going up-most recently after UHaul advertised giving free storage to students (obviously at my expense).
