JIMMY BThe inside of the trailer was dirty. I cleaned it out before putting my own moving blankets in place. I also taped over a hole in the top side were a tie ring was missing. It rained on our trip so I was happy it was sealed up. I was carrying boards that would have been damaged if they got wet. The trailer was older but towed just fine.
STEPHEN LMake sure the Englne light is off when renting a vehicle. Other than that they did great!

The guy today was hustling, but there were three people ahead of me in line it took awhile, plus he was cleaning out and readying one truck and a trailer that were being picked up shortly after I arrived to turn in my container. He was very polite and pleasant in his interaction with customers, just had entirely too much to handle alone.

RAYMOND MWOW!!! What a great experience from start to finish. We were able to connect with an agent quickly over the phone. She directed us to the local U-Haul location. We rent right in, and the gentleman working Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Elsmere, KY location around 1 PM WAS SO HELPFUL and KIND! He got us into the truck we needed and we were on our way. It was a better and more affordable experience than other local retailers. Thank you, U-Haul!!

DENNIS HThey always do a great job. They only issue I had was the on-line reservation system did not show my $10 discount for dropping the trailer off at a flexible location. It’s not the pick up locations issue it’s the UHaul system problem.
ROBERT MThe return process sucks. You make people download your app and then no where on the app does it say return a rental. I was so frustrated just trying to return the over priced rental that I left my unused boxes in the back of it and I was too tired to go back for them to get my money back. A 10 foot box truck costs over 300 bucks to rent for 1 day. Next time I will hire movers for 600 and they will do it all. Will never rent from you again

DEBORAH ANormally, this is the place I always rent my moving trucks from. However, this past time I used the mobile app and I was instructed to go to the side of the cashier counter to pick up the key. I had my phone in hand showing my reservation and as both employees were busy with other customers, I simply stood there and waited. After one employee rung up his customer, he looked at me and commented, “so what’s your problem?” I pointed out that I was simply waiting for a key. He is definitely not the friendliest employee I’ve ever seen there. This is the first time I have ever dealt with someone being rude. Hopefully it was just he had a bad day. I will say the mobile app actually took longer than simply going into the store I’m renting the truck. My concern at this point is I have pending charges that are doubled on my statement. Waiting for them to post to make sure I’m only charged once.
Valorie SThe attendant at the desk was talking thru the spiel a little too quick and seemed too bored to slow down and answer some of my questions. The truck also seemed like it had a vibration coming from the rear end(I am a mechanic that works on box trucks and semi trucks), I told the attendant that upon return. Overall, this location was nice and quick, I wish they kept pick up trucks in stock as that would have been preferred

Tina SWindows were very dirty had to clean them myself. Truck smelled like cigarettes. Gas filler was broken and allowed it to over flow when filling up. Head lights were very dim. I requested a pickup but was later told they couldn't give it to me due to corporate pulling them all back. Trying to use app to return didn't function correctly

Now, in the middle of buying a home and moving, being limited on funds, I'm out 224 due to attention to detail. Everything was returned right in front of the two employees faces, and mi's charged me for missing dolly. Which they fixed, 6 minutes later, but put me out 224 for 5 buisness days!! Thts real customer service there guys! Stay away from this store!!

PAIGE EAfter stopping at another location in Ohio and getting a lot of BS I drove out to the Elsmere location to ask questions.Friday they were busy being the end of the month , but very nice and Explained everything to me. . Came back Sunday to pickup truck and everything want smooth. Truck ran great ! Drove over 900 miles and when we returned the truck at 6:52 pm Monday night we were greeted with a smile and a very friendly gentleman and asked if everything want as plan . Perfect ending to a long day we left at 3:45 AM drove to West Virginia dropped off some furniture returned the same day and to say dropping off the truck and seeing a friendly face and a pleasant person at the end of a long day was a great feeling.

DONNA JI arrived and the truck that was reserved for me stuck in the only snow bank in the parking lot. Then I was charged a different rate then what the representative told me. I will never use uhual again due to the change of rate .
JOSHUA BApp did not allow me to check in/out. Agent that checked me in decided to assist people she was calling while she had already called me to her counter to assist me. Vehicle could barely move under its own power. The alignment was also completely shot. When returning the vehicle, the employee melt disappearing. Just a completely horrible le experience.
douglas sI only used 6 days an was charged full price an was told that I could not be reimbursed for the rest of my money an the Staff were unfriendly an unprofessional and mice are a real problem there mice chewed up a lot of my stuff an the restroom was filthy. I would not recommend this place to anyone, Michelle was the only nice person there.

James W | First ImpressionsAs for lighting: they have motion sensor lights that last a few min then shut off so you’re constantly walking to find a sensor to turn the lights back on if you’re there for any period of time. As for cleanliness, sure the halls look clean but when I moved my belongings out after almost 9 years, mice had taken over! The tops of the units are open allowing anything anyone else brings in to contaminate your belongings. I had to throw away half of my belongings. I moved out the day after my money was taken for that month and they refused to prorate me the rest of the month so they planned to double dip on my unit by collecting my funds for the month and then a new renter. The female working at the time decided it was appropriate to laugh at me when I told her not to move me out because to prove a point I was going to wait until 2 days before my next payment was due to do so. She laughed and responded with “ok whatever that’s stupid” and was extremely rude to me. When I returned two days before the next scheduled payment was due to come out, they had put their lock on my unit so I couldn’t get in it to sweep it without someone letting me in so if I would have came after hours (which was a 45 min drive, I would have been screwed). I finally got in swept it etc and uploaded pictures and did the move out process and the female at that location would not move me out. I waiting until the night before to call headquarters and they had to move me out! I will say that the two male workers that were there the day I came to clean were extremely nice and professional.

The floors are very uneven and I wasn’t able to open my storage unit door completely. The split units are awful if you’re carrying anything heavy, which required me to upgrade my until. There is no lighting within the storage unit itself. Also, mouse poison is in what looks like a restaurant to-go box which is great that they have it but doesn’t give you a great feeling when leaving valuables in your unit.
myka w | Overall ExperienceI absolutely love Uhaul. U Haul has always been used in my family for as long as I can remember. Hi miscalculated pricing cuz this was the first time I ever had to use U-Haul by myself but it was okay it was still pretty good. The only thing I'm upset about is I'm being charged for mileage that I supposedly went over. I don't think that should be fair because I didn't drive the U-Haul anywhere but from pick up to my apartment and then over to the drop off location and I'm being charged for 4 Extra miles. I know it might sound minuscule but I'm currently homeless so now I have to pay that when I specifically told where do You Haul was going to be so I assumed the 35 mi they gave me was going to be enough but to find out that there was four extra miles put on where I don't even know where that four extra miles came from and now I have to pay it is upsetting and then I was told I was going to have to pay a $30 late fee for that so now it's almost $50 that I might have to pay and I have no home and I'm broke so that's the only thing that upsets me that was done by U-Haul.

Joyce was super rude & unhelpful. The faccility was dirty, & the unit door was too small (no dimensions on website). The move-in instructions that I received via email we’re also incorrect. While checking in, Joyce lied about the free lock on the website and forced us to buy another. Once we were allowed to access the unit, there was a free lock inside. However Joyce won’t let you return the brand new, unopened lock that she forced you to purchase 2 minutes ago.
