This is the second time I’ve rented a truck with a leaking mom‘s attic and the manager does not return my messages or my calls to help resolve the issue.

Edmond RHello. I rented a car transporter. The trailer worked great. When I got the trailer home I realized the the tires were worout, definitely needed to be replaced. Also the license plate lights and one clearance light did not work. The lights are not a big deal unless the DOT checks you out. Thanks for the opportunity to comment

Didnt show us where the truck was , asked us to pick the truck up from back of the lot , didnt help at all with checking in , i told them i didnt have battery in my phone but still forced me to do check in over the phone even when nobody was in line. Same worse experience at checkout. Wouldnt recommend to anyone

JAMAL OI had the trailer light cable fall off on one end during the ride from the Uhaul pickup to home. I called them and the statement out of the youbg mans mouth was " you must have shortened it!" I was not even out of my truck from the point of picking it up to getting location Perhaps a better choice of words next time! I have been driving trucks with trailers and boats longer than he has been alive!

Being sent 25 miles away, 3 hours later than planned for was frustrating. The staff at the re-directed location were great but could offer no reason for the change.

RICHARD RThe vehicle was clean, but I would not say maintained very well. The alignment was noticeably off. To drive the vehicle straight you had to keep the wheel turned. It felt very sloppy driving the truck. It felt like there was a lot of play between the steering wheel and wheels. Driving a new large truck is always uncomfortable and having those 2-issues made it almost feel dangerous. The truck was DC 1309 H.

Michael MThe initial service was great, but what happened afterward is why I am giving this poor review. While dropping off a rental, I caused damage to another uhaul vehicle. I was told that since it was a Sunday, no managers were in but a manager would reach out to me to the next day to discuss the damages. Instead, I received my invoice for the rental and an additional $1900 for the damages with no explanation or warning. The invoice doesnt even break down the damage. It just says “Fees Coll- cust caused brkdwn”. It would have been nice to receive a breakdown of the damage and costs. And they just charged it to my credit card. I would have expected better communication, given the amount I was being charged. I understand that I was at fault, but for a manager to not call me before to discuss damages and payment is unacceptable. In the future, I urge management to reach out to customers when they say they will, especially in unfortunate situations like this.

BLAKE YEverything was really straight forward and easy. Such a great experience. My only complaint is I checked the tire pressure before I started my trip and all 4 tires we inflated above 60psi. On the side of the tire it says no more then 35psi. One of them was at 80psi. I deflated them and went on my way but that is extremely dangerous. I let the location know about my concern.

EDWARD PStaff were friendly but there was a reservation issue and instead of offering support, they pretty much said "it's not our problem". I only drove above 30 miles and ended up with a bill for about $140. Fuel charge added even though I returned the vehicle with a half tank of has as requested.
SUMIT EVery good customer service. They were very accommodating and were willing to work according to my schedule.

No lighting inside the unit can be tough when everything you own is packed in there. Admin incorrectly input my CC payment therefore my card was rejected. I was charged a phenomenal extra fee for it and 6 threatening letters. Each year they increase your cost of rental. (A lot) No refund if you move out a week early.

This is not a deal breaker because it could be repaired and cleaned up. Would I rent storage here again? Yes, not a problem. The staff here are excellent to work with. The maintenance person just needs to fix up that unit.
William D | Overall ExperienceMy only complaint is during the winter months there is always a patch of ice in front of entrance doors to the storage units. This is a dangerous amount of ice that needs to be managed better before someone gets seriously injured. It seemed to me that this ice accumulation is made worse by drainage from the roof of the building that drains in front of doorways as this was a problem for every entrance. It was so bad that whenever I needed to go to my unit during the winter months I would bring salt to spread out before trying to enter the building to avoid falling again because of the ice. I did say something to an employee a few years ago but nothing ever changed.

I use uhaul whenever I need a truck and unfortunately needed a storage unit last minute but at this cost I'll be looking elsewhere for a unit and probably never use you for my truck needs again.

I was making a big move from Vancouver, BC to Kitchener, ON, but was traveling for over a year first, needed to travel back and forth, etc. and needed a safe and secure storage unit. The U-Haul staff here are amazing and always very helpful and accommodating. Once, I forgot my scan key for entrance all the way in Vancouver, BC and they replaced it no issues, no fees! I was so amazed. Moving in and checking out were seamless. Would 100% use this uhaul again for storage or moving needs.

It’s insane that at 10pm when I’m moving around things too bring new iteams the following day that I’m approached by an intoxicated male who was unimaginable rude and proceeded too reactive my card .. I then had too wait weeks as a penalty for being in my unit after hours too receive a new card!! I pay for the unit, and I get too he treated like a child and penalized?!? This is a shame too the uhaul company I’d NEVER recommend this place too anyone!!

I brought a 3 bedroom and a basement home with me and had to stack my things very high to make it fit into the unit I was given. We made it work but things got squished in the process. I moved to London on September 4th and I went in to move all of my stuff out and to cancel and someone told me it was fine and I should just wait until the end of the month and to call them to cancel so I left to London and then on called on September 30th to cancel October 1 payment and someone told me that it was all good and my automatic payments were removed. I then got a voicemail from someone else saying that won’t work because the lock was on still, I called them back and a new person answered and explained it to me and I told them I was coming home on the weekend and I could do it then and they said we will still have to charge you for the unit and I had to take it off that day or I’ll have to pay. So I called my mom in Kitchener and I asked if she had a key and she didn’t. so they called me the next day and said the same thing on October 1st and I told the guy that when I walked in on September 4th to cancel it he told me I was lying and no one would’ve told me that.

She handed me the paper to my father without even explaining what was on it she just kept saying read the paper he then asked for her name and she walked away and as she is walking away she yelled I don’t need to give you my name it’s on the paper. Worst experience I have ever seen at this place and I was renting 2 units here plus renting trials and trucks. And to have that kind of attitude after a long day of moving is just wrong.

I put in a low rating because I saw NO Covid safety precautions in the facility other than the in the main office. The elevator is horrible! The necessity of having to swipe the card to have it work and continually press a button (finger remains on a button) to have it move is inconvenient and bad during a pandemic. My friend stored her items at a place on Pinebush in Cambridge that had regular elevators. The system you have where you need to touch 2 doors on an elevator several times and then open and close a door to go upstairs has many communal touchpoints. I saw the facility being regularly cleaned every time I was there. However, I never saw anyone wiping the elevator button, the elevator pull-down door latches and outside elevator doors, and the door handle to the stairs or the carts. There was no evidence that anyone made any effort to clean the carts either. It's really risky and dangerous. I brought my own Lysol wipes and cleaned things as I used them myself. Not everyone is going to clean things as they use them. It would be helpful to have wipes set up at the elevator and carts like they do at grocery stores, hotels and gas stations. I mean really, it's not just for your customers, it's for your own staff to have some safety measures be in place. I'm a teacher and the custodial staff there wiped all touchpoints regularly and there were still outbreaks. I hate to think about the risk at your facility. It's actually shocking that I saw nothing but the same lady cleaning the grounds (she was friendly and did a really good job). I saw nobody cleaning high touchpoints. I know because I took several trips a day and the cart I left in the drop off point was at the exact same angle I left it many hours later. Very unfortunate for your staff and customers who do not clean touchpoints for themselves. I cleaned myself, otherwise, I never would have continued with the service so I am ok with the service I had. I worry for others who while rushing to store things do not take precautions. Even with vaccines rolling out, there is still going to be risk for months and maybe years to come. UHaul has to invent in taking more precations for customers and also their own staff. My rating would have been better if not for the pandemic. However, we are in a pandemic and will be for some time. Change needs to happen here. That being said I would use the service myself again because I clean well myself.

However the unit I had rented, I am not pleased with. The framing and the drywall are coming apart. With minimum effort, I would be able to enter the adjacent storage unit. The door to the unit I had rented was difficult to open and close. I had to exert a high level of effort just to get into the unit and to close the the unit. The door track is bent and the door looks beat up.

I immediately raised the issue with the staff only to be told the dimensions were only approximate. Maybe next time I’ll just pay the approximate price... which by Uhaul standards could acceptably be off by 60%!
