You bumped me up to a larger storage unit than I had reserved, without asking, and are now charging me more per month. I did not want or need this space, and when I reserve a unit for a certain size I expect it to be available on the day I selected as the "move-in day", and at the price on the website. I am leaving town almost immediately, so could not find another unit for the summer, but I now worry about the assurance that the unit I have will stay mine or stay at it's (already increased) price.
Avidan M | First ImpressionsUnbelievable. My appointment was made online for 7AM. When I walked in I was told that they cannot see me now because "they just opened and are still checking in trucks." When I left to wait outside, I noticed that my reservation in the U-Haul app says 8AM. I called U-Haul and they confirmed that someone that morning made a change from 7AM to 8AM. I filed a dispute regarding this issue and never received a call from the location manager regarding the issue. I made the appoint as early as possible since I was driving log-distance and needed to get out early. I will not be using U-Haul again and will be recommending all my family and friends look elsewhere for their moving and storage needs.
MICHAEL PI've use u- haul a lot, l was charge late fees, with poor communication with u-haul, my frustration with u- is high. I rather use another storage co.

LAMESHAE SCustomer service around the board! Fees aren’t transparent either! We got stuck in the mud called 24 hr roadside and the flat rate was 350 dollars to get us unstuck, etc… Terrible experience all the way! Communication from the 800 number to the exact location was horrible not in the same page! I was told too many different things! It’s too much to explain! Don’t use this location if you can avoid it but it’s in the hood so??????????????????????

SHERYL MThe associate that handled our transaction was not focused at all. He forgot to give my wife the uhaul keys and we also got a storage unit. The only instruction he gave us was to use the pin pad to get in. He didn’t say anything about a lock or even having to purchase one. So we had to extend our reservation on the uhaul until the next morning so we could get proper service. It’s unfortunate to have to go through something like this when I use uhaul frequently
AIRIONA BI felt that everyone was very professional and helpful and I definitely would recommend that u haul location to anyone who needed a u haul vehicle
JACK EWell make sure the light bolt are secure we have to stop 3 times during my trip in order to put the bolt the was coming out of the truck from both side causing a lot of noise. The truck engine light when on we have to stop two times in order to check if everything was ok since there was some smoke coming out of the front. so we stop and check and let the truck cool down and put some antifreeze just in case, but when we arrive at our location the truck has a strong smoke smell. we did not drive the truck all night. we make a stop in order for the truck not overheat. but we arrive to our location safely.
MARILYNN CThe office smelled of marijuana. I was told we’re to park the trailer. I backed it into the parking space and waited for personnel to come and help disconnect the trailer from my hitch. I got tired of waiting so I un hook the trailer myself. I have rented a trailer from the Transit Rd. Depew, NY location and they were courteous, quick to check my return in and they un hooked the trailer for me.
JAMES LI can't pay them right now but I am trying to get help from the military I think they will help me but I don't know if it will be in before they auction it off I just hope that I can still get my stuff it has important paperwork in it I am sorry that I couldn't pay it for a couple of months but if given the time to find a place to live I can have it moved out and pay what I owe I will need movers to be my stuff out because I am disabled and cannot move It myself

EUGENE WIt was very disappointing that the truck issued to me had a tire low on air. And Gas, A little more than a quarter tank was all it had. But the product was good, the location fine.

GUY TThis is the worst location in Buffalo. I urge you drive the extra few miles to a better location. They will cancel your reservation with no email or phone call. They will rent you a barely legal U-Haul that is falling apart. They will lie about the Gas levels. All this for corporate customer service and local manager to tell you they did everything right. It’s a joke. Go somewhere else.

SARINA AIt would be ideal if cash could be accepted after 2pm. When returning the truck I had cash to pay the difference on my mileage & couldn't because a Manager wasn't available after 2pm. I know that many locations have to protect cash transactions from employees now as theft is rampant. But it was in convenient as there were others that wanted to pay cash also.
LINDA MI got SCREWED. I was given a truck with a "broken sensor" that I was reassured was fine and it WASN'T and it cost me time and money to deal with and I'm PISSED. I will never rent a U-Haul again, and I rent trucks A LOT. But this was my final straw with U-Haul.

YAN NThe lady at the counter is very rude. U-Haul as a company has gone downhill and I’ll never use you again. You always overbook the trucks then your employees want to argue and have attitudes with us when we’re frustrated about it. I’ve learned no matter when I actually need my truck to pick it up at 7AM or I might not get a truck at all. My reservation was changed to 8-12 instead of 7-7 that I reserved a month ago, without my consent, so I changed it back and showed up at 7, just to have to deal with her attitude when she knows that U-Haul does this all the time. Never again. I’ve paid for dolly’s that are never included in the truck. Just ghetto, I highly do not recommend. I don’t even know why this location still in operation.

So literally at 9am someone walked into the door at uhaul and then 10 minutes later my truck was able to be found. So I didn’t even check in for my truck til about 9:15 then I was late to where I was suppose to be going.

JOHNNY LThis was my worst customer service experience I've experienced in my entire 57 years. I booked my U Haul on the phone weeks in advance. When the reservation came through, I was to pick up my U Haul at a location different from the one I had chosen. When I arrived at this U Haul location, 2 U Haul gentlemen casually took their time to ask me about my rental. One gentleman was actually wearing pajama bottoms. I gave them my Florida license, which is what I had shared when I booked my rental. They told me that out-of-state licenses required additional forms of ID, but had no official document that said this, and no one had told me of this requirement in advance. Luckily I had my passport at my hotel, which was 30 mins away, and they told me I'd need to go get it or no truck. I did so. I returned with my passport, and they told me that they would need to keep it as collateral for the entire booking of my truck (3 days). Again, they didn't tell me this when they told me to go get the passport. We made a call to the manager who said, "just tell him he can't have the truck" if I didn't want to have my passport held hostage. I left my passport there, took the truck for 2 hours to go get the tables and chairs for my Dad's 85 birthday party, and returned the truck that day. I then had to rent a truck for $90 from Alamo to return the chairs and tables after my Dad's party. My previous encounters w U Haul have not been so outrageous, so this was a big unpleasant surprise.

TAMEKA PThe truck had not been swept out, which is the most minor of complaints. Setting up the reservation was super easy. Picking up and dropping off the truck were also both super easy. Cost was very reasonable. I'm very satisfied.
NATHANIEL AFirst off, this location is in a very unsafe location. I requested a location in Cheektowaga and UHAUL changed my pickup location without notifying me. Second, they messed up my reservation. I requested a furniture dolly and one DOZEN furniture pads. Upon arrival, they informed me that they do not have any dollies to give me and there was ONE PAD on the reservation! Who the hell would order just one pad!? And how did you expect me to load a 20' truck with no dolly? Once we got to the truck, there was 3/8 tank of gas (fine) but the whole counsel was filthy with coffee stains and ashes. We had to clean it before we started doing anything.
Angela KThe clerk initially told me false information that there were no storage spaces available at the location when I came to the location given that my booking was confirmed which caused much frustration and disappointment in me as I had already booked the movers to unload the truck at that location. Then after some time the clerk corrected his error and provided the storage space when I was already about to make very costly decisions based on the initial false information on the storage space unavailability.

Everyone at this location is extremely rude. They walked in with coffee griping about the customers outside and that they would just have to wait.

When i arrived it was not a ground level it was up high on top the floor level, and there were no other units available at this facility. I wouldn't have chose this facility had I known this unit would be unreachable for me. This really made me sad!
