I don't know what I'd have done had it not been for U haul when I ran on hard times they understood and held it down to the fullest. I'd refer any friend or family to utilize U haul for storage or moving purposes friendly and courteous.

TIMOTHY BOnly thing when , when I picked up the trailer, the extra wire for the trailer lights was wrapped around the handle. I stopped and put gas in my truck the light plug disconnected. Lucky it did not drag the highway had to unwrap the extra wire to make it long enough to stay hooked to my truck. Just want to check the wire make sure you have full length.

JAMAINE EI experienced questionable customer service in comparison to the Eastex Freeway location. 1. No one in the showroom upon my arrival. 2. Even thought I online checked in, I had to complete the entire process. 3. Employee exercised minimum effort. 4. Upon return of the trailer, the return line was at the door upon arrival. The beginning of a bad return experience.

COURTNEY CYou need more people doing checkouts. Especially on a Saturday at the end of the month. I had an 11am reservation. I got there at 1030 and didn't leave until 12 noon. Then got charged double because they say I didn't bring it back in time. I'll never go there again. Glad there's another in Beaumont. Even if it wasn't, is go to Vidor or Port Arthur.

Justin NExcellent roadside assistance by Adrienne when I reported a nail in one if the trailer tires. She was quick to respond and get a technician on the way and texted regularly asking for updates until the order was complete. Incredible support. Thank you.
VERNEIL MSalesman is a fraud and lies about the amount of gas that’s is in the truck. When salesman was confounded about he argued and stated I will charge you anyway!

KIMBERLY VMy first impression was terrible! It took me a while to find the unit because it wasn't parked where they stated it was. Which pushed me back on my move time! And of course that doesn't mean anything with your scheduled appointment time. And when I finally did find the unit, the cabin reeked of cigarette smoke. The dolly was already pulled out in the bed of the truck as well (hopefully I wasn't charged for that too). I begged for a extra at most 15minutes that I wasn't granted. I didn't get to put the little drop that was used of the gas that was no where near 4 gallons, but I was charged for 4?? But its fine I didn't make a fuss about it! Schedule your appointments 15- 30 minutes after you need it, and do 24 hrs. JUST in case, because they don't care!

Latoya G | Overall ExperienceI ordered a utility dollie on line but when I picked up the truck I was told they didn't have one because it was rented on a first come first get basis. Everybody should get a utility dollie if requested. Without it the move was alot more difficult.

Refused to get the key out of the box so I could make sure I could go back and try to check vehicle in myself after having an issue with self check in through the app.

I’m only bringing this up regarding the terms and conditions of the unit itself. To keep it clean and maintained after leaving. But other than that the unit was spectacular it was perfect for a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and their family.

But when I went to clean out my storage on June 7,2023, there was NO POWER to my unit and me fridge had MOLD in it. When I asked the Rep., when this had occurred, I was told that the power had been out for a MONTH. When I asked why wasn't notified I was told NO ONE HAD BEEN. There was NO APOLOGY, NO CONPENSATION. I PAID for a Unit that was suppose to be Temperature Control and My last month that was not the case. Your Policy has to change to inform your customers if something happens that will affect the contents of their Unit.

Was unable to change online acct psw and was told manager would have to do that as well as change contact /unit access person but he was never there and again when I called was put on hold. 3... Was suppose to have 24 hrs access and somehow was locked inside the gates unable to leave after store hrs into the wee hours of the morning before finally deciding to try n climb the fence and go find help because I didn't have my cell phone with me. Had to walk alone after midnight down the streets of Beaumont in search of a person or place that would allow me to use their phone to contact your 1800 # so that I could get. My vehicle out and hope n pray my boyfriend believed me when I got home. He didn't and still doesn't. When I told the young ladies working the day after they said they knew the gate was messed up. So why then is there not a sign or why isn't it locked after hours so that this does not happen and they respond oh your not the only one. My point exactly. Not only did this happen to me but to others and it was not safe and very irresponsible of your employees to shrug it off and allow it to continue to occur. So pretty much I have not had a good experience with U-Haul at all and I will never use a U-Haul facility ever again. My truck rental experience too was a disaster. I'm was and still am very much disappointed with not just that location but U-Haul as a whole.

Many times 20 to 30 minutes on one customer. I understand stand things takes time but at least hire more people to accomodate the work load.

Well over $5000 of equipment was stolen along with damage to my RV. I was later informed that this sort of thing had happened at other u-haul facilities after the fact. Not only the lost of my equipment but not so much as we are sorry this happened but I did get this request for a survey. Don’t think this is sour letter but and opportunity to do better. I truly believe 24hr entry is unnecessary. No one is moving at one or two in the morning, it only put honest people property at risk. You could also highlight the need for personal insurance on rentals that require it.

In 2 years the rent increased almost 35%, with no added benefit to the customer. My trailer was broken into twice at this facility, so the security is very bad and zero accountability by the company, my expenses to repair this trailer were not refunded as there is no insurance available for vehicles that are parked in your facility, basically, you are charging for parking on the street with a fence that does not protect from anything. I am sure that I will use U-Haul in the future, but I will think twice to use this type of storage facility without accountability.

In Las Vegas, I was told that a car hauler would be guaranteed as I reserved it 2 weeks in advance for a military move. I also called 3 days in a row preceding the reservation. Two days before my cross country move I was told the reservation could not be honored, forcing me to purchase a trailer for $3,700. I also reserved a 10x15 storage unit with the uhaul 1-800 number, at the location in Beaumont, only to be given a 10x10 unit by the representative at the location, once again inconveniencing the move process.

He said he would be awhile because he had customers. He was the only person on duty. He should have told the customers he would be right back and moved the trailer. He didn't and said i could get a dolly and move it myself. When you wait on a customer prior to other customers you should take care of that customer. Period no excuse for his lack of service. Basically he let me know my problem was my own since he had already collected the money.

Christina J | Overall ExperienceI have used Uhaul serveral tines before, i like climate control because it preserves my stuff better. When i moved the place was not dirty. My three main complaints are the storage thermostat said 85 degrees . The exit door at the end of the hall, emergency not the glass door there is a huge gap between the floor and the bottom of the door that air is escaping which contributes to the problem. Now on to the glass door it is broken falling off the hinges literally. The lock n key was in the storage when i arrived which was great! However the storage it self has insulation hanging down from the ceiling in my unit. So when we open the door the particles fly and guess where it’s landing yes on the items I stored. I got locked in the gate because it was broken my code not an interning customers code was i for 15-20 minutes, i pressed the intercom and no on answered after several times I tried. . This was upsetting mostly because i couldn’t get anyone on the local line or on the customer service . I’m just not use to no customer service like this. Additionally the young lady on the 1800 # was very apologetic and I did appreciate that. She said “ I’m very sorry this is not the experience we want you to have with Uhaul” ( she made the difference for me, i was really frustrated) and proceeded to transfer me to another department to handle my complaint. I held on another 10 minutes and I just hung up because that was an extra 30 minutes taken from me moving. I had people helping me. I went back to storage on yesterday and my code didn’t work again, so i had to sit in the line and wait till someone could look up my information, i understand that part bUt it really does negate the whole check in not having to wait issue. The young man did give me a card which worked and i did appreciate that . Never the less i am dissatisfied with my unit! I will be moving when my month is over, i don’t pay to get insulation particles on me or my stuff nor do I pay for my belongings to be the same temperature as the none climate control. Oh n I never had to sign in at the building ( when entering) so safety is also an issue, just drive your car up and the glass door opens up no code needed. I’m really concerned about this!!

This did improve the last 60 days.

She didn't acknowledge any of the 7 people waiting while she came and went checking in and out one customer at a time. More staffing would have been ideal on a busy Saturday. After checking in my rental thoroughly and explaining everything and adding personal experience stories to her trainee, she said I was done. I took that opportunity to tell her there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the climate controlled facility(that I just spent 3 hours moving into). She laughed it off while saying her housekeeper was off today. She then went back into the office. I walked past an overflowing trashcan in the parking lot to my ride only to hear how rude the woman had been to my friend waiting for me in the parking lot and to another potential customer. Everyone that I had encountered prior to the this woman did an outstanding job handling my account, from picking up in lake charles to the multiple phone calls I had to make to find storage an hour away from where I need to be due to the losses in our hometown area. I had to pay extra to move and store my items due to the hurricane decreasing availability. A wrong turn upon arrival put me short in gas and over in milage beside being late w the truck. I'd expect the facility to be properly staffed and maintained. I also had a lot of problems with app account...I wasn't able to use it hardly at all. Thank you for your time, Heather LeJune
heather l | First ImpressionsI don’t live here anymore so when the storage got flooded I wasn’t able to come here until now. When I went to clean it out they said they went in there to make sure there wasn’t any mold. Several pairs of Jordan and Nike sneakers are missing. I had a pair of red bottom heals that I only had worn twice are all beat up like someone wear them in a marathon. I’m just glad they were not missing as well. The sneakers were stored high enough that I know they did not get damaged in the flood. I believe the were stolen.

Pleashette A | First ImpressionsThe storage was great Philip the manager is awesome the whole insurance thing for flood and this is a flood area really ran me hot if I would have known it wasn’t covered I would have took my chances without paying for insurance only to get no help from Fema so I lost things that were valuable so it hurt like I’m sure it did for others.
GENEVA W | Overall ExperienceWe were sorely disappointed with how this location handled our belongings during Tropical Storm Imelda, Sept 2019. The staff took it upon themselves to dispose of our furniture and various items without giving us a chance to make an assessment, even though they promised to do so. The items were in storage while we renovated our property and since then we've had to refurnish the whole house. Phillip, one of the owners of this location, is the ABSOLUTE WORST when it comes to customer service. He goes out of his way to present a DISMISSIVE & UNCARING attitude.
