We used our storage unit for about 4 years and never had a problem! Our stuff remained non-moldy, and well-maintained in our unit, which was our goal and getting a climate controlled unit.

Hi, my name is Jason Paul. I have rented out your storage I was charged when I had empty my storage on 29 March on 1 April I was charged $155.20 the manager Shanice was very rude when I called in About the charges I talk to a reservation customer service operator she was rude. I asked her to transfer me to customer service so we could deal with the situation. She was trying to give me a phone number. I told her I wanted a supervisor she decided to put me back in the queue. The next operator help me get the customer service by transferring me. I talked to the store manager about the charges she said she was gonna call me back because I was overdraft $35 because they did not close out my storage bill. I waited on her to call me The store manager Shanice never received a call so I decided to go to the storage to see what’s the issue I repeatedly told her and customer service that y’all charge me for no reason for a storage and they put me in overdraft. I still don’t have a response back About the overdraft fee. I’m very disappointed in the service at u-Haul North Tallahassee Florida this was a nightmare and could someone please contact me because situation is not resolved phone 813–5 47–0006 I think it’s unfair for me too have to pay overdraft fee. I had to take out a loan to cancel the overdraft off. I don’t think that’s fair when I moved in the timely manner with you U-Haul and I have to suffer the consequences of the negligent services I received please help store managers get a better attitude towards customers and more empathy when they mess up on services provided to the customer please once again I need you to contact me because I am very distraught. Thank you hope to hear from you soon.

I reserved a 10’ van days in advance. When I showed up they only had a van for me. I had to take time to figure out how to fit everything in the small van and still ended up taking multiple trips to move all my things.

I had a very disappointing experience with this U-Haul storage facility. The customer service and communication were poor. On multiple occasions, I arrived to find the elevator out of service, which was a major inconvenience since my unit is on the third floor. While I understand that maintenance issues happen, there was no communication to customers about the outage, and the staff offered no helpful information, guidance, or even an apology. I would not recommend this facility to others.

The location was fine. I got help from a representative inside, and she was courteous and helpful. Parking was easy, and the key return box was well-lit and easy to use. The online experience, though, was awful. I had to request and submit a "one time" code three times. Each one took almost ten minutes. When I went to return the truck (in a dark parking lot) I had to sit there waiting for the code which was very frustrating.

It was a very smooth process from top to bottom in all aspects. The staff were welcoming and informative, the unit was clean and ready for move-in and the facility itself was clean and presentable which of course, gave me confidence and comfort in storing my belongings there. The location is right off of a Main Street and next to a restaurant if you’d like to eat after working up an appetite. Highly recommend this location as a first choice or even a last resort.

Was not pleased with all the personal cars parker On the corner of each building made it impossible to turn a 26' truck on to the roadways between the buildings. A facility this small should never allow all these cars .

Truck was in poor shape. Headlight was out. Ran rough. I was told truck would have 1/2 tank of gas and to return the same way. It only had 1/4 tank. I returned with 1/2 tank to avoid a problem.

They charged me $17 for gas. I sent a pic of where the gas was when I picked it up. Drive 60 miles and put in $25 in gas... They put 4 more gallons in - BS! Next time I'll go back in and make him redo the contract with the correct gas level on it. You betcha - I'll just waste everyone's time - Over $17. . Geez

In the location of my unit the Loomis trucks and staff took up all the parking area at the entrance making it very difficult to park or even make the circle out! Too many trucks stored in a small area.

The utility dolly and furniture pads that I had ordered were not in the truck, but the staff person quickly got them. Unfortunately she did not have 2 full sets of furniture pads that I had ordered, so she gave me what she had and refunded the cost of the one of the sets. So there were a couple of minor issues but they were fixed quickly and professionally.

They tricked my daughter into getting a different unit at a much higher price. Booked a unit a month in advance, had a reservation number and a quoted price per month. When my daughter got there on a designated day she was told that due to a system error all those units are sold out and they offered her a unit that is more expensive by $40 per month. Since she’s a college student and leaving to our home stayed in couple days she had no choice. Very unprofessional considering that both her and I called in several times prior to checking in. no one ever mentioned that our unit is not available

The van I rented smelled like cigarettes and was a bit dirty on the inside but the employees are nice and helpful here. This is best experience I've ever had any U-haul location that I've gone to. The young lady, Shemicka that helped me on Friday was phenomenal and very professional. Saturday we had a storage size issue and the store manager there was very helpful and accommodating. For now on, I'll only go to the Lake Ella location as their customer service is awesome!

I did not know about the gate clicker until I arrived at the facility - I did get one for the extra fee of $5 each month because I was not comfortable pulling up and getting out of my car to put the access code into the gate lock. If the key pad was further back from the gate it would have been different but it's so close you cannot do it from your car. Also when I opened my unit I saw a big black box of what I think is rat poison or a rat trap - is that standard with all units? Can I pick it up to move it? I was not aware about that and I do not know how to proceed when moving my personal items into. Finally, my building has no signage inside regarding which door goes to which part of the room #s and there is no signage inside the unit hallways directing toward the elevator and stairs. This would be much appreciated since all the hallways look so similar - it is easy to get lost! Otherwise move in was easy, the facility seems nice, and I am satisfying with my first impressions.

I had no knowledge my bill wasn't being paid and asked for a couple days to get money from a relative. The next communication I received was my unit was being auctioned at 10. I did not realize that the same size unit could be rental for less just several miles away. My 5 x10 unit rents for approximately $134 plus Insurance and taxes per month in Tallahassee, FL. On West Tennessee Street in Tallahassee, FL the same size unit (5 x 10) at U-Haul rents for approximately $99.00 per month plus Insurance and taxes. I per to pay the $99.00 per month. The location does not matter to me. I don't go in & out of the unit frequently at all. I would like to pay the $99.00 per month. This is my disappointment.

Keep the elevators working - I love this facility and the staff are superior but having a unit on the 3rd floor and no elevator for a person with a disability to facilitate a move is asking a lot and it leaves you vulnerable for liabilities - I have been a long-time customer at this facility and I cannot say enough good about them. Monroe across from Lake Ella BOTH need a completely new staff, and corporate is difficult to work with and very short, sometimes rude. Your company ripped off a older disabled single woman. When I arrived to unload some belongings, the free lock they said would be in storage unit wasn’t there so I wasn’t able to unload anything. I still have a bunch of stuff in my trunk because I still need to purchase a lock. They shouldn’t offer a free lock unless they can ensure no one will take it out of the storage unit before the rightful person received it.

The elevator was broken, I was told they’d have it fixed quickly, so I didn’t go to a nearby facility. It ended up taking 7 hours and cost me my moving crew. My wife and I ended up paying $800 and having to carry our stuff up by ourselves. Would like an extra free month to compensate us.

While the storage units themselves were very clean and well-maintained, the elevator broke almost every time we were attempting to either move items to or from the units. We had professional movers standing around waiting on the elevator to be fixed. We had to postpone our move-out as a result and pay movers again to get the rest of our belongings the next day. The Loomis trucks forced a delay on our move-out as well - with four of them parked in the back, we had to wait until they left to have enough room for our moving trucks to park close enough to the elevator. When asked about the Loomis trucks, neither the Uhaul employees nor the Loomis truck drivers seemed concerned about the fact that the trucks were blocking our access. Location was ideal, cost was reasonable with first month free and units and grounds were well-maintained... except for the elevator.

The facility was fine. The people I talked to were fine but they were at some remote phone bank somewhere. The actual facility never, and I mean NEVER, answered the phone and I tried every hour of the day. To get a live chat online or a person on the phone, took 15 minutes, and then we would get disrupted and have to start all over. Very frustrating.

I have not problems or complaints with the storage unit. My issue lies with the truck rental. I originally reserved a 20 foot truck over a week in advance to be picked up in Albany, Ga on Saturday, 8/15. The reservation was to pick in Albany, and return the truck to the Uhaul located at 1580 N. Monroe Street where I had secured a storage unit. I received a call on Friday 8/14 that there were no 20 foot trucks anywhere in Albany. The lady put me on hold, came back on, and asked if I would take a 26 foot truck instead but I would have to go to another location. She said it would be for the same price and I asked twice if all the other contract conditions would apply -- meaning the truck was to be dropped off at the same Uhaul at 1580 N. Monroe Street. I was told yes both times. I accepted even though I did not need a larger vehicle. After loading the truck and unloading our furniture at the 1580 N. Monroe St. location, I proceeded to turn the truck in. However, I was then told I had to take it to the 5050 W. Tennessee St. location which was across town. When I asked about what the contract said, I was informed it would cost me a penalty to turn the truck in at 1580 N. Monroe St. and there was nothing they could do. Now, I want to be clear the young men working at 1580 N. Monroe St. could not have been more courteous and pleasant; however, I was forced to drive the truck across town. When I arrive at 5050 W. Tennessee St., I was then asked WHY I didn't just leave the truck at 1580 N. Monroe St. I explained to the man there what I was told and he said that was incorrect, that I did to need to bring the truck to another location. That was frustrating end to a long day. Again, I want to make it clear that EVERYONE I spoke with at UHaul were courteous, polite and tried to be helpful. However, I should not have had to (1) utilize a larger vehicle that I needed; and (2) go through the inconvenience of driving across town to turn in the vehicle. I will need to rent for 1 day another 20 foot truck in approximately 60 days to come back and load up our furniture. What I would ask from UHaul is that I receive some type of discount or price offset when I rent that second truck due to the circumstances described above.

Honestly would have been perfect , but for some reason the staff put a u haul lock on our unit without telling us, we thought we lost the key called a lock smith just before they showed up the staff
