I was unaware of all you have to do in order to return the vehicle when it is after hours. My phone died trying to take all the pics! Luckily I had another person with me and was able to use theirs. Maybe send an email with instructions at the time of the rental or have the service members in the store verbally tell customers what to expect in terms of the return.

The employees at this location represented U-Haul and my friend and I were treated the way customers should be treated at any place of business. We even had them laughing as my close friend, of almost a half century, and I carried on and joked. The employee waiting on us was still able to get the information needed, explain the rental fee, the mileage rate, etc., in a timely manner. And we were on our way. When we returned the truck, the cab was dirty from 3 days of folks in and out moving furniture, boxes, totes, suitcases, etc. from a packed storage unit to a new residence and many items from the previous residence to the new place. The back just required a quick sweeping. I had even mentioned to my pal that it was a little dirty. There was no litter, but it was not clean like when we picked it up. The girl who went and inspected it said $15.00 could be included on the total, and they would do the necessary clean up. Their cart with all the brooms, brushes, cloths, spray cleaners, etc. was outside, and I was happy to do the work myself, save $15.00, and we had to wait on our ride which gave me ample time. All in all, the U-Haul Rental location, the rental fee, the mileage and refueling cost, the employees there and their professional, yet not stuffy, workplace demeanors, all a welcomed experience. I was very pleased to receive a credit back into my account after the final bill. The 3 days that the truck was rented was soooooooo not anything near a good experience. Everything finally was moved. But those moving days are no reflection on U-Haul, but moving is no fun. I do have one small suggestion. When I received the final receipt upon return of the truck, it appears that the name of the customer renting is in all lower case letters. The information directly below (I don't have the receipt handy to look, but I would say address) is all caps. Ex.: jane maria doe 123 MAIN STREET OLD TOWN, UTAH Maybe customer name and address could all be in CAPS. That way the proper nouns (names) will not start with lower case letters. Now, if that's the worse suggestion (it's not a complaint) that is submitted, I say A+ for my review. Oh, a comment. Maybe set a limit on each review submitted (number of characters, lines, etc.). Then this short story I am submitting would not be ending up there for someone to have to read and wonder about the author, and surely won't be made public. The name and starting with capital letters, really just joking and insignificant, the length of submissions...???? Hahahahaha? I WOULD RECOMMEND U-HAUL FOR ANYONE MOVING!!!!!!

I ended up at the Lake Ella location after my truck not being available at the Tennessee Street location. I didn’t receive a call before I was told by your representative that the truck I reserved was unavailable.

The location is very difficult to access from the northbound direction. Additionally the site is incised in a very narrow footprint so navigating large vans or trucks and trailers is a major negative. Return policy: I missed my 6:00 PM return but had it there at 7:00 AM the following morning yet I was still charged for another full day! Not acceptable.

Find you a new franchise license holder for that location replace the manager and most of the staff. After losing three days Revenue attempting to pick up a truck with conflicting information from different people in U-Haul I've been lost another day because the truck that I was driving did not clear the drive-thru at McDonald's where the markings on the truck indicated that it should clear. Nothing about U-Haul in this experience was user-friendly.

It appeared that a previous renter had smoked in the vehicle. The scent was overwhelming for me as I am prone to allergies. Other than that the vehicle was fine. It would have been nice to have had the vehicle the authorized.

I know I went over the estimated mileage and I incurred those costs - that's on me and that's fine. Something kind of annoyed me though, by accident I filled up that tank way too much. U-Haul got free gas from me and couldn't even wiggle the extra mileage fees. I know it's my fault both ways, but it just felt like a bad business practice and made me feel really stupid. I just expected more I guess.

My wife and I found that your staff were most helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. When we returned the Van, your employee (a friendly and helpful black woman) met us outside as we pulled-up. Within just a few minutes, after checking the mileage/gas and basic body of the van, we were out of there instantly! . Without telling me, the person who assisted me in reserving the truck charged my account over $80. This overdrafted my checking account, causing me to acquire a fee and cleaning me out financially just before a hurricane. This person seemed to be having great difficulty in the process, and seeing this activity on my account after the fact just proved it. Also, this is the second time I did not receive equipment I paid to rent (appliance dolly). Thank goodness I checked before leaving, doing so because of the previous experience. This location needs to train its employees better. If I can avoid it, I will not return there.

Charged for dolly not used because it had to be unteathered to move to furniture on the side of truck. Used to love this place but representatives were rude. Went in person to make reservation and when I arrived to pick up truck next day no reservation could be found. Wont use then again.
