We had never been to this location before so it was confusing where we park, how we get in, and how the elevator works. The person in the retail store was somewhat helpful. After we did it once, it’s easy now. Checking in in the app was easy. The storage unit was just what we expected.

Brian CI paid seven dollars for a rolling dolly and it was not in the truck this morning. You guys still charge me for it. The truck was parked within 1 foot of another truck on either side. A nice employee helped me, but this truck definitely wasn’t ready. The lock is very sticky too and needs to be replaced. Otherwise, the truck was great.

ERICK MWe were not told about the text we would get and to make sure the gas was full because when we got in and drove it off the lot the gas tank was only at 1/4 tank. And we were told because we drove it off the log that we were then responsible as they sent a text explaining that. If I had been told that, then we would have done it but we trusted that everything was as the rep told us and the tank would be full. It wasn't. We returned it full. And had to spend twice what we would have if it was as the rep told us. I would not and will not recommend this to anyone moving. I will go with the company friends suggested instead of Uhaul.

CHRISTOPHER RThe website took forever to load, and struggled to function when picking up the truck. It wouldn't even allow me to take any pictures or videos. And then it deleted all of pictures when I checked the truck in and had to redo the entire process. The worst thing was the gas. It was ALMOST full, which is very hard to predict on how much to fill up. Because I did not properly predict how much to put in, it ended up completely filling the tank. I had to pay almost $40 after driving only 33 miles. It should have been around $10-12. That significantly increases the cost of the rental. I am paying to fill the gas tank that someone else did not fill. But I imagine they got charged for not filling it. I will not be renting from haul again because there are hidden costs, costs that come because the vehicle not being filled up, despite money being received for it. I should not have to pay to fill up the gas tank just to ensure I have enough in there and do not get charged myself. I can deal with the website not loading or functioning correctly, but paying extra money because it's hard to predict exactly how much gas goes in to make it 90% full is something I will not support. Spending extra money to ensure you don't get charged extra money......what an interesting concept.

Timothy C | First ImpressionsThe truck gas tank was almost empty (28 miles to empty). I understand that the policy is to bring it back how you found it, but picking something up that's that empty is inconvenient and it would be nice to have had more gas.
Rachel VThis isn't on the pickup location, but rather on the reservation system. I called a few providers, and asked for all-in pricing. I was assured I was out the door for around $1000, but when I went to check out, taxes bumped it up. Not cool to tell me one thing then charge more.

Cindy WDiego, Sam, and crew went over and above their duties everytime I was at the facility and I was amazed that they didn’t lose their minds dealing with me and all of my special requests!! Of all of the Uhaul facilities I’ve used for trucks and storage this location shines for so many reasons that I will continue to make the drive to support them from my new home. If you need storage or a truck to move things give them a call and they will take care of everything for you so that you only have to focus on moving your things safely. Thank you Diego and Crew! Also, they mentioned a $24 account credit for gas to a certain amount but when I returned the vehicle there was no one at the office to help redeem.
ADAM SI appreciate coming here because alot of locations are far away and not covient. However my interaction is why I say my visit was average. I have recently have used haul and never had a bad interaction in a while but this was the one time. I was going to complete my reservation with a credit card and pay for a lock I picked up with a debit card I had and she like was first of off, you can't pay with that card. I was like yeah I know, I've been here a bunch of times and understand. She wasn't rude after that but I was glade I didn't get intimidated because I been here before I think it's been a while since I had her ring me up but could be a bit more professional. She was pleasant when I returned my truck and I appreciated it and left.

The process was lengthy and I couldn’t even update my browser settings to grant sharing access to phone and location settings. I had to use my husbands phone. The process was confusing, frustrating, and time consuming.

Why the hell did I place my order online, if the pickup process was going to make me re-enter everything anyway. It would have been less time consuming had I rented the fucking truck from the front desk. Thank you for wasting an hour of my time on my moving day, you cheap fucks.

ALI AThis was without a doubt the works experience I have ever had with a U-haul rental. I reserved my rental more than 24 hours prior to pick up, submitted all of the required information and expected a seamless check out process. I've rented from this location before, and its fine. However, after waiting for 15 minutes for a staff member to arrive I was told I was doing a virtual check in- (even though I had submitted all of my information prior to arrival), I was then forced to download the app, resubmit information, provide pictures of my license (ok), and then had to do a verification process which required a bot calling my wife at work. This was a huge waste of times, and an extremely frustrating process. I was then given my keys but not information as to where my rental was, I finally found the rental tucked away in the back parking lot after wiping dirt and grime off of several vehicless, the vehicle number was faded and covered in dirt. My driver seat was absolutley destroyed and had a slip cover falling off in an attempt to cover the seat. The check engine light was on, as well as alerts that the tire pressure in multiple tires was low. Because I was only using the vehicle for a short trip I figured I would be fine and wouldn't have any issues. While driving the truck the suspension felt loose, the steering wheel pulled different directions and overall it felt unsafe. We had a large snow storm come in that night and the next day, while using the vehicle, I discovered that the passenger rear-view mirror was covered in a film or glaze, making it nearly impossible to see traffic in the weather. When driving back in the evening it was discovered that the headlights were broken, the passenger light was out completely, the driver's side offered little more than a small flashlight's worth of light. The driving experience was terrible and extremely unsafe. As I said, this was absolutely the WORST experience.
Anthony PYour calling center was not helpful at all and was very rude. I was having issues adding my emergency contact, so I had to call them and their customer service was terrible. The in person representative was nice and tried to help but she said I had to speak with the call center. I also did all the pre-work to help make the check-in process go by quicker, but it still took us over an hour to get our truck due to issues with the app and getting our emergency contact information. They also requested the same information that I had already previously put in so it was frustrating to have to do that multiple times. I feel like the check in process could be better.
Tracy BThey gave me a truck that was empty on gas and didn’t have the gear I rented in it. Cost me $35 extra dollars bc they told me to bring it back with a quarter tank even though it was totally empty when I picked it up. I rented 1/2 moving blankets and there was only 3 in the truck

HONIS MUSAT: Lady working outside for U-Haul: The young lady working outside was not that helpful getting the trailer hooked to the truck and getting my vehicle on the trailer. She was very slow, laxadayisical and seemed like she did not what to do the work. She did not perform to standard becoming a ground guide to get my vehicle on the trailer. She did not give me as the customer the warm and fuzzy that everything was hooked up properly and ready to travel across the country. I was worried the entire time traveling weather the truck was going to come apart from the trailer with my Benz on top of the trailer. Something I should not have to worry about. U-Haul Manager -Above Average: The Manager that worked inside of the office at U-Haul. Upon making contact with the Manager and told her that I needed assistance with getting my vehicle loaded on the trailer and the trailer connected to the truck. He first response was the lady outdoor is fully capable of doing this. Letting me know, either she was not going to do that lady's job outdoors or she had faith the lady outdoors was competent to get the truck connect to the trailer and get my vehicle loaded on the trailer. I believe after I left the office, she had second thoughts and come out on site to assist me getting my vehicle loaded on the trailer. The manager did perform the proper ground guide to get my vehicle on the trailer which the lady outdoors, did not do, did not attempt and failed to do. The manager performance was above average. Note: 24/7 Roadside Assistance - I would give them an EXCELLENT rating. They were very helpful and even surprised my expectations. I am very pleased with U-Haul Roadside Assistance. Great Job!!! Keep up the great work!!!
ERIC D--Pick up in Denver: The lady (working outside) that was supposed to hook up the truck and trailer and be my ground guide to put my vehicle on the trailer appeared to be very laxadaysacinl and somewhat incompetent. Like she did not want to do it. It appears she was slow, on her personal cellphone and not doing her job helping the customer. It took the manager on duty to come outside. and make sure everything was hooked up and right. Also, the manager on duty, was my ground guide getting the vehicle on the trailer which the person working outside did not do her job and was incompetent. I was wondering driving across the country from Denver to Orlando, was the hatch connecting the truck to the trailer was going to come off or not. I should not have to wonder like this departing U-Haul in Denver. They did not give me the warm and fuzzy, that everything is okay for this long trip. I just had to have faith!

CRISTINA CI am very upset and annoyed that the system automatically made me complete a mobile check in when I opted to do in person with an employee. I do not want to use mobile check in. I am a repeat costumer and will take my business elsewhere so I can speak to people. The people that work at the mile high station location were very nice and helpful. Do not replace people with apps.

Anisha DThe customer service was an absolute “0”. I had to ask twice for help checking out the truck. I needed help with the check out, and was told “you have to do it online” I asked if I could just check-in over the counter and was told No. I tried to take care of it online while standing in the store and was still having problems. I asked again if I could just take care of it over the counter. I was told “No, you have to do it online “. After about 45 minutes, I finally got finished. They/she asked for the code I got, so I found the code, she handed me the key and sent me on my way with no instructions on what to do. I had to find the truck without even knowing what I was looking for. I finally figured out the # was on the top of the truck. The truck was parked tightly between other trucks, and was difficult to get out of the lot. When I opened the truck at my storage unit I found the dolly that I ordered was missing. I’ve used U-Haul at least 4 times in the last year (at another location) and never had service this terrible.

James L | Overall ExperienceWe had an awesome experience here and the employees were extremely helpful. The only thing I would add is that the parking here at the Lower Colfax Ave. facility is AWFUL. And I would add very frustrating, lol! Just expect the frustration if you're unloading a trailer within the garage parking spot! Just direct traffic when you have to back out onto Colfax. There's a few spots of parking on the front of the building but when we tried to park there some construction workers had parked there and weren't moving. They just sat there.(insert angry face, lol). We decided to stick it out bc it was closest to downtown Denver and we got a FREE storage unit for a month since we towed a trailer from FL to CO.

ANDREW G | First ImpressionsI’m from out of state and I had no idea that the layout of this storage facility was so inconvenient. This location is not ideal. It is a busy street corner in Denver. There is only one unloading dock for trucks. I had to park across the street, carry everything from my U-Haul to a side door that had a ledge, which meant I had to put everything on a dolly and take it off the dolly when I got to the door, lift the dolly up and over the ledge of the door, and then put all my items back on the dolly to roll to the elevator which is freight elevator requiring the person to have to send the elevator back up or down if someone else had used it. Staff was pleasant, but not very helpful when it came to helping me navigate the facility. Even after reading the online directions, I had to ask multiple questions throughout the day on how to do certain things when they could’ve just told me when I checked in. U-Haul somehow made my drop off location in the wrong state and the staff did change and make my U-Haul truck return easy for me, but overall, this facility is just not easy to use at all. This location made a two hour moving job a 5 hour job.

Move in with a trailer was extremely difficult having to park across the street in the rental lot of move everything across. While it clearly wasn't Uhaul's fault, moving in during a Broncos game was a bit of a challenge. Not quite sure how it was approved but the elevator doesn't access all of the storage floors? Not sure if that is apparent when a tenant reserves their unit. The larger units are chain link fence with fairly flimsy looking locks, unlike the light-gauge metal partitions I have seen in all other facilities. The rat traps inside the units while serving a presumed purpose, were not particularly reassuring about the quality of the facility.

I have a sick wife my mother and three little brothers with me we are moving to Houston from Denver Colorado and we had to sleep in their parking lot overnight and nothing was done! I cannot believe this!

Units have no lights which is crazy. Was given a BS excuse that it's a fire hazard... yet there are lights in the units and functional ones outside. Entrance to the units has a large step instead of a ramp that can be rolled up on... Staff was not near as courteous. They probably tire of having to lie to customers as to why there are no lights.
Joel P | Online Move InWe arrived after hauling a load across country and to our surprise we were assigned a storage unit that would have required us to move all of our furniture up a flight of stairs to our unit. When we asked for a more convenient option, they had to assign us to a unit that was a 10-minute drive away. Once we arrived to that unit we were unable to move in because in the entire storage facility there is one unloading parking space. After we were finally able to load our furniture, we quickly realized that the storage unit RECOMMENDED by your company for a 2 bedroom apartment was not big enough for our stuff and had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of furniture. The literal only positive of the experience was the fact that we get a free month since we rented a truck for our move. That being said, I will never book a storage unit through your company again due to this awful transparency and misleading messaging.

What I received was a unit on the 3rd floor that was NOT climate controlled. When I went down to speak to someone at the desk, I was told it IS climate controlled however that specific area (that was noticeably warmer) was having issues with the AC but they were aware and they would have someone look at it. If that’s the case, why are you putting anyone who paid for climate control in an area that currently is not climate controlled. At this point after driving all the way from FL to Denver, I just wanted to get everything into storage so I could be done with my 5 day trip. Just overall so disappointing. I will never use Uhaul for anything again.

sean m | Online Move InOverall the experience at this place was pretty bad, and I don't recommend using this facility or U-Haul storage until they get their promotions, pricing, and offers straightened out. Beside my specific issues detailed below,, there is only ONE elevator for the whole facility and ONE loading dock. So if you show up and those things are in use, your pretty much screwed when it comes to moving and storing large or heavy items. The manager is a nice guy and ended up helping me with the issues, but this location and U-Haul corporate need to work on their communication and offers. I was offered a free month of storage from U-Haul, only to arrive with a full moving truck and be told that the offer wouldn't be honored at this location, despite nothing online, in email, or on phone ever telling me that would be the case. I was also charged for the lock that was supposed to be free as a promo offer. The manager informed me that they didn't offer any of these promotions and I would have to pay. Online also guaranteed an indoor, climate controlled, secure unit. What I got was a chain link fence exposed to all the other units around it, not very secure at all. The manager told me they couldn't resolve any of my issues immediately, and needed to get more info. It took a full month before I was contacted and the issues were resolved. The manager was helpful in the end, I just wish he could've resolved the problems more immediately. On the same day I arrived other people were arriving with the exact same misinformation about a free month of having a unit. Its super annoying to have to pay for something you were told was free and for it to take so long to be resolved.

We removed the lock, got all of our things out, and left. I continued to get bills for 3 months. When I called, I was told there was still a lock on our unit. Then the lady said I was yelling at her (I was not, I was asking for a copy of the phone conversation as uhaul repeats to you 800 times while you are on hold for 40 minutes) and she hung up on me. The customer service at this location is TERRIBLE. Do not go through the hassle of renting a suit here.

I was quoted an original price of 860 some. went back two months later to check on my quoted price and ultimately the manager in Flagstaff Arizona said no we will not honor that. I guess my price was never locked in? One of the employees even said that it looks like we seem to have an error your price is still fluctuating with the daily quotes. My verification code didn’t work or they just didn’t care they wanted a receipt from my email. which they failed to send me even though they had this quote listed in the notes. I was told this was a mistake but not until the day of. Multiple employees said this problem would be fixed but ultimately the manager declined after months of constant callbacks and negotiating the last day the manager ultimately said no to me. I insisted that she goes back and look over the recorded phone call as I wasn’t making any of this up. But Apparently that takes too much time. I had all dates written down for when I called in and even what went into their notes. It got to the point I could tell the U-Haul employees a lot more about what was going on. I knew what was in their notes more than they knew. They would have to go digging or looking through the system they said?!?! or the computer was slow or was put in a different system?!?! What? What kinda of system are you guys using. And they even accuse me of lying on the occasion. When you call the one 800 number and if the local office doesn’t pick up, it outsources I was talking to people in another state sometimes. Extremely annoying and arduous system I’ll write down peoples names, they couldn’t give me an identification number or obviously the last name so I would say “hey I talked to Karen from corporate” “Oh OK will wait for those notes to show up in our system” next day talk to a new employee, explain what happened. “we don’t have a Karen here” I understand you don’t have a Karen but Karen form Corporate after calling the one 800 number to complain about you Guys said you’d fix it and she left notes.” And it just never ended. Had to talk to 10 different people. My price was never locked in, the month of March the price was 900, the price in April was 1100 and after talking with them for months they wanted to charge me the quote of the day which was 1200+ they wouldn’t even next off a couple hundred bucks. For everything we’d been through and they all knew me by this point. It was so sad. The day of I called budget and they got me the same truck for about 890 was soooooo happy. To top all that off I forgot that because I didn’t get the truck my storage unit price went up. They quoted me 90 something. The day I showed up in a new state with no where to put my stuff they wanted to charge me 114 bucks a month. I I finally just got out of the U-Haul storage went with a local Fort Collins storage facility, 80 bucks a month same size and all. budget trucks are almost 2 or $300 cheaper than U-hauls on any given day. I still need to move a lot of stuff from Arizona to Colorado. Let’s just say budget and local businesses is getting all of my money not U-haul. If you use U-haul and you like them that’s fine. But if you’ve never done business with a moving company I recommend trying to stay local and small. U-Haul just wasn’t for me everywhere else was just amazing.

Upon check in the employee did not tell me that the elevator does not go to the 4th floor!! that's insane! how could someone not tell me that I'd have to move up stairs. The move in logistically took longer and was harder and I was upset about. I would not have agreed to store my stuff there if I had known that the elevator did not go to my floor. However the office closed for the day by the time I discovered this incredibly inconvenient aspect. Then over six months I pay more than my previous storage company and pay my unit a visit. During this second visit I discover that my floor is not climate controlled and temps outside are in the 90's !! why did no-one tell me about this?! I would not stored my stuff there had I know. the location is advertised as climate control yet no-one told me my floor was not. After hours sweating and getting what I needed I ask to talk to a manager. The manager listened to my complaints but did nothing other than to suggest I move to the u-haul down the street. I ask if she could allow me to use a trailer to do so and she says it will be $25 , really you can't even comp $25 for me ! Knowing I have to move by myself in the heat and when I was not planning for this move! wow. really no shits given. no offer for a free month and trailer. no offer for help. no apology. I rented a trailer and moved my stuff to a different company and will never store stuff with U-Haul again. You lost a good costumer. Upon returning my trailer I talked with other customers returning equipment and they had complaints about U-Haul as a company as well as this locations staff. Did I mention the damage to my belongings because of the heat ?! no here, I will be placing a damage claim.

Instead I got nickeled and dimed for the storage insurance and having to buy a lock. Seriously, you make everyone use your locks? And you can't return it? That is ridiculous. The staff (I believe her nametag said the owner) was very rude and condescending about everything. I really do want my money back.

Son doesn’t start school until fall, so we do not have a local address. That is why we are storing his stuff. Storage was supposed to be 10’ X 5’. It was much smaller. The door was around 32”. No way to get a couch in. They had no other space available so we canceled. Very frustrating experience.

I am very unhappy with U Hauls poor customer service and their "hidden fees."

John A | First ImpressionsWith a single loading bay and single service elevator for the upper floors, expect needing patience for loading/unloading larger amounts of possessions in and out. There is space for about 1-4 customers to load/unload from if you count the side door and they have 4 carts appropriately. Realistically, there's space for 1 customer during business hours via the loading bay as the side door is EXCEEDINGLY inconvenient for more than a few possessions. DO try to have 2+ persons when on the premises, as it'll be a lot safer and quicker to operate with the system that's in place. I wish I could recommend it, but the lacking of designated loading zone options makes it difficult to do so for the price unless it's convenient for you... The staff there is very aware of this and try to make it easier if they can. Thank you all for your help with the situation that lead to my needing to use your facility! :)

I was told this was a loose time table and no one even called me before cancelling it to see if i was just running late. I didn’t know it was cancelled until i got there-luckily they were able to still give me another truck-but i thought that was a big turn off from the start. I also wasn’t happy that when i called prior to booking the truck/storage unit regarding the 1 month free rent that i was told absolutely nothing about purchasing insurance or a circle lock-which i would’ve looked into prior to arriving for my pick up yesterday. Then, after spending 20 mins rebooking everything, we were told our truck was in row P...which had no keys. They then looked for the keys for 15 mins before giving us a different truck. We returned that truck at 6:45pm last night and I watched the workers drive it away after telling us our gas mileage and approving that the tank was refilled. I then received a call yesterday saying they couldn’t find the keys. Seems like a lot of lack of communication and it ultimately ate up 45 mins of time we could’ve been moving.

It said it was a max security facility but it was really easy for anyone to walk into the garage. Also the facility itself was really janky compared to other similarly priced storage facilities I have used - the floors were awful and uneven so super hard to push the carts, and I was surprised that we had a chain storage unit instead of a walled in one, it makes me more nervous that someone will try to break in because they can see what is in the unit. Also the way the unit door locked there is still a large gap between the door and door frame even when locked as tightly as possible with a chain. Can't complain too much though because got a free month

It's not even close to 8' high. This is completely misleading and actually false advertising. When I asked, they said they could move me to a different unit, but it would be more expensive. No other options or offers. Manager on staff was very rude and not helpful at all.
