I am giving this location 5 stars based on the service I received from Kamal. When I arrived to pick up my rental van, the one assigned to me had not arrived. Luckily, there was another van on site, and Kamal was gracious enough to swap out the vans to ensure I was not inconvenienced. I have had issues like this in the past, but the staff was not accommodating — causing me to lose valuable time riding around trying to secure a van. Thanks Kamal for the awesome service! Keep having that winning personality, and it will take you far.

It took 45 minutes to pick up trailer, even after completing all info online. The “owner” Tamara personally checked me in. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had w/uhaul. She hooked the trailer to my truck, my fault for not checking it or installing myself, it came off the ball mount WITHIN 1 mile!!!! I pulled over safely & reattached. She hadn’t screwed the bottom bolt tight. I’ll never go bk there for sure!

I came to U-Haul twice this week- very different experiences each time. The first time I came, the clerk was very professional, helpful, cordial. The second time I went on 4/2 the clerk was abrasive when I asked for directions to the truck, sarcastic to other people in line, and just unpleasant. On both occasions, there were 3-4 homeless people loitering in the parking lot, one sleeping in a van. There was a man loitering by my parked car near the back and my boyfriend had to run down to get my car because I was too scared for safety reasons. Some type of security, more lighting, etc. could be useful.

I received a truck that was damaged and had a service light on. I also never received my dolly. However, customer service was on top of things. They were fast and very helpful in updating my reservation and changing out my truck. Also, consider lockers with equipment such as dollys for last minute fixes.

My Uhaul reservation was to drop off at a different location and that's the location in my email confirmation. When I went to drop off, they said they had it booked to return at a different location and that I could be charged a fee for drop off at the the wrong location - even though we both looked at my email confirmation together and saw that I was at the right place.

Seemed a bit run down, but i was made aware that the inventory that particular day was extraordinarily low, so certain this had something to do with that. The vehicles I normally rent from this lacation are in good condition.

Staff there seemed checked out and was discussing their lunch order at 9am when people were still in line trying to get their trucks. They were lethargic, uninterested, and unprofessional. They were also rude and stand-offish with people in line. Lacked professionalism, they didn't care about people who were literally having to haul their entire lives to a new place, they were all clearly just trying to clock in and clock out.

There was a difficult customer taking up 45 min of my rental time. The woman who claimed she was new was overwhelmed and sweet but definitely too much for her to handle alone. I called customer service 3 times got nowhere. I was teavsfered esch time to the wrong place. It was horrible. The best part was checking back in the gentleman was super i firmed and friend, black guy with glasses. I would never recommend U-Haul. It was a bad experience.

These people really are not helpful you have to beat them to get sth out of them. I got a truck that was parked with a window down near the construction for uhaul when I wanted to sat all of the saw dust have covered the window and the seats. I have asked them to clean they did a lousy job. Also they didn't help me to put my car on auto transport after insisting that I have no one that help me go over it she came but she didn't help me to do it correct after she left I saw I must have drove further inside so I can fix the front tires.

For one my storage unit was outside every time I tried to go to my storage there would be a U-Haul truck blocking my unit so I will have to go to the front desk. Ask them to move it. If I went there after the front desk was closed I could not get into my storage unit the worst experience ever I canceled my account December 12 of 2024 and I’m still getting bills in January 2025 Unique.matthews@yahoo.com

For the most part the manager is very customer service oriented and is eager to get her tasks done. Initially I thought she was mean but I realized she has a stressful job and it is her personality. I did not put enough gas in the truck and she did allow me the opportunity to correct it before It was due to be returned. Other than that I definitely would recommend this location in the future.

The service was horrible. When I dropped the vehicle I was asked in a rude manner, to go in the vehicle and take the pads inside and the dolly. I was already out the vehicle and heading to my lyft. The service was just as bad, when I picked up the vehicle. I waited inside for 10 minutes before, the guy walked in from outside, in the dark. It then was closing time, and he rushed through any questions I had.

I scheduled the curbside pickup using the app to avoid having to go inside and interact with your unfriendly, unprofessional staff. I was never sent the email with details to pickup the truck outside using the app from my phone. Instead I had to go inside and deal with your ghetto employee. She had me to do the checkout inside using my phone.The entire time she was assisting me and another customer. She had her AirPod in one of hears and she was talking to her man while customers stood right in front of her. A conversation no one needed to hear. U-Haul needs to stop being lazy and fill up your gas tanks your damn selves. I had to drive out of your lot into the nearest gas station to fill up the truck. You give the trucks out on a full tank and it should be due back on a full tank. It isn’t complicated.

The bracket for the appliance dolly was broken. The windshield wipers didn't work, and we got caught in rain during heavy traffic, this was incredibly unsafe. When I returned the truck, I mentioned it to the attendant - he said yes, they're broken. I asked him if it was a known issue with the truck they rented me, and he said yes. This is wildly unsafe. The truck had poor steering and the brakes were very soft.

Reception upon entering was aloof. The people processing were not very friendly. The van was ready but the gas tank was on empty. This location is always difficult to get into from the road. One thing not your fault was major road construction that day making it even more difficult to get in and out of. All in all, it was a mission accomplished but i can’t say that it was pleasant.

I have stored my wine at this facility for several years because of the temperature controlled environment the facility provided. The facility told me two days ago that I had to vacate the storage because of a “renovation” they were performing. I came the very next day to remove my wine (worth thousands of dollars). When I showed up - the wine section was hot! It was much warmer than the air conditioned section of the facility. I stored wine there because it was supposed to be cool!! When I spoke to the employee upon leaving to express my concern about the temperature, he informed me that it had been like that for two months!!!! He insisted that they called me more than the one time, but I checked my call logs going back to July and I was never called. This facility did not provide me the service they promised and put my wine at risk for two months. This is a blatant disregard for my as a customer and potentially will cost me money as the wine is at risk of being ruined.

I was tenant of the facility for about 17 months while I completed post graduate fellowship work. I found the team to be very helpful. The team that originally signed me up were awesome. However, when it came to finding locksmiths they were not useful in local recommendations, this is something I wish would change as there are many people unfamiliar with the market including myself. I have complained multiple times with the front office and 800 number that the wine storage cooling unit was not working. 78 degreees is too hot and spoils wine. It has not been working for the past month and I contracted to keep my wine stored at a n appropriate wine temp not room temp. I moved out my wine because of this. The local person Jamila was argumentative when I asked to be refunded the last month $100 since they did not provide the contracted service . I have pictures since June of the temperature. She also would not give me any manager or contact number other than 800 number. I’ve stored my wine for about 5 years and the wine unit has not worked several times. I Couldn’t depend that it was working and very bad customer service regarding this last time so I left. The staff doesn’t care to understand the issue with wine and solve problems. Jemika also told me they were going to close down the wine area since it didn’t make money. That was news to me and I still should be provided the service I was paying for. So I was visiting ATLANTA with family & the immediate need for a storage facility became urgent. So I looked up the closest uhaul and proceeded to go along with you doing my due diligence on pre-booking one and then the next day I went and paid for it. The checkout service experience was horrible, let me start off by saying that... I sat there for well over 3 hours trying to get my accommodations fulfilled regarding the storage unit they kept saying that I owed money and at the end of everything it came to pass that there wasn't true when I called the U-Haul corporate number. Nevertheless after getting checked in, I move my bulk of merchandise into the storage unit and left. When I got back home to Virginia I realized that I did not have a copy of the paperwork that they had given me and and I immediately start reaching out to all of the U-Haul properties that were listed in Atlanta and I got the same response from the majority of them that I did not have a storage unit with them they searched by my email by my name by my number and all of that led to no avail. So I waited and waited to see if the U-Haul facility would hit me up once the payment was due. They never did. So I'm just now getting a call that my stuff was auctioned off when they never tried to reach out to me. Crazy. I do not like this whatsoever and I will be contacting corporate in reference to this matter

The manager is HORRIBLE she’s very cocky and arrogant. I was wrongfully locked out of my unit then nobody knew why. I taught to rent a tool from Home Depot to cut it off. After cleaning the unit and letting the staff know. I was still getting late fees and email. This is probably the worst location in Atlanta the manager has a very nasty attitude and the staff aren’t trained properly on what needs to be done. There was an unknown charge on my account and I had to call customer service in order for them to remove it because the Manager was not helpful regarding this matter. They mixed up my unit numbers then tried to blame me. I had to contact the president who so kindly handled all matters respectfully for me. I would not recommend this location. I moved my things out after the first month.

This storage unit was closed out more than a year ago. Uhaul continued to charge my card for more than a year to a unit that we no longer had the keys for. No one at the storage unit was able to help with these charges and would only “re close” out the unit, requiring us to make additional payments. This was not acceptable and we cancelled the card instead to avoid additional charges. They then continued to follow up saying they will sell off the unit. Unfortunately, this did not change anything for us as whatever was in the unit was not ours. I do feel bad for whoever’s stuff was sold without being contacted but again we turned over that storage unit more than a year ago. This saga was an absolute nightmare and I would think twice before ever continuing to use Uhaul in any capacity (particularly this location).

The individual who assisted me during the check-in process was friendly, but it became evident that there were issues with management or a lack thereof. I had made a reservation for a storage unit through the app, and I had a free month credited to my account, which I was informed was valid for 2 years by customer service. However, when I attempted to redeem this offer, I was informed that only a manager could authorize it, and unfortunately, the manager was unavailable. I arrived at the facility at 11:00 am on Sunday, October 21st. To my dismay, I discovered that none of the units listed as available on the young man's list were actually vacant. We had to visit buildings A, B, and C, inspecting various units, which significantly prolonged the process of securing a unit. The management at this location should be more proficient in maintaining an updated list of unit availability to avoid such inconveniences. It took us two hours just to secure a unit. Finally, when I obtained the unit, I encountered another problem: the air conditioning in the hallway where my unit was located was not functioning. This made packing our belongings in the sweltering heat an overwhelming and stressful experience. Moving is inherently stressful, and the issues I encountered at this U-Haul facility only exacerbated the situation. In summary, my overall experience with U-Haul's management at this location was far from satisfactory. I will be filing a formal complaint and expecting some type of refund.

When I moved in my stuff to storage and upgraded to a bigger unit, I was given two different prices. The unit on the first floor price was higher than the unit on the throes floor, C304 for $246.00. After making the payment and transferred to the bigger unit, payment cleared by the bank, the previous store manager increased the price to be the same as the one in the first floor. In person discussions with the store manager, he requested documentation for the $246.00 payment. And even promised a free month with the documentation. I submitted my bank statement with the $246 payment. Rescinded on the offer. Put my unit on a lien, added additional fees and charges for late payment. I submitted my documentation to the Uhaul top management. All the extra fees I had paid were returned. Moving out of the C304 storage unit after escaping from a toxic, hostile living situation, I found a safe house. I got financial assistance from the Church of transfiguration, At Vincent the Paul to pay for my August 2023 unit rental. They sent a check. After 20 days, the Uhaul Piedmont store never found the check. I used my last money to pay for the rental and vacated by September 12,2023 to avoid another month rental. I kept the store manager aware of the vacated unit to no avail. Per conversation with the store manager, she wanted to charge me for an extra month. On September 26,2023 I agreed to closed the account due to the missing check. And the same day the uhaul Piedmont store tried to charge the additional month to my card without my authorization or knowledge. I have documented my previous comments and sent them via email ti the top UHaul management and the store manager. As a loyal UHaul customer since 1977, you have some bad actors within your organization that are affecting your brand loyalty. Thanks. Juan

My only concern was that my New storage units locking apparatus did not feel secure. It moved when I secured it with my lock and I'm a little concerned about that. There wasn't another unit that size to move into on 6/24/23 so I'm hopeful Management addresses that discrepancy ASAP so that I feel secure in knowing my gear is safe. The Manager on staff Saturday 6/24/23 was excellent. Her ability to multitask was Amazing and effortless. She took care of every customer as if it were her first and I was completely amazed at how calm she stayed even under the pressure of 7 people waiting while she took care of me and another customer. Wowwwww totally Awesome is an understatement. When I brought to her attention that my storage units locking system looked tampered with she immediately gave me reassurance that she would call someone to address the issue and, notify me as well. Parking at this location can be tricky especially when there is a lot of rental equipment in storage. I’ve had a few issues with that causing me to avoid this location when I bough moving supplies even though I had a rental unit there. Other than that relatively clean and secure, had a few minor issues with the gate but nothing that couldn’t be solved with another card swipe.

It is not a great location for the storage facility as it is a super tight space with not a lot of room to move and my main complaint, well really only complaint, is that the door to the area where my storage unit was, was pretty much always blocked by a truck or trailer making it difficult to navigate with boxes or items in hand. Also, it made it impossible to use a dolly so had to carry everything in and out by hand. If I had not only been using the facility for a short time while my floors were being redone, I would have moved to a different unit. Burt I would not go back to this facility mainly because it was a poor location, really too small to maneuver around in especially when multiple people where there at the same time. Service and staff were good. Just the location was poor.

I have used U-Haul services many other times, from various other locations. They have all been very good. This experience, however, was by far, the worst I could have imagined. My storage reservation specifically stated a climate-controlled unit, but I was given a non-climate control unit. I was never informed before hand or even during the check-in. I called back several times wanting to speak to the manager, Trell, but was given excuses that she was not available and rudely dismissed. That reservation with a Rent-Now promotion would have provided me a free lock, but told I needed to pay, and so I was charged unnecessarily. By the way, I rented a cargo van in the process. The worst part was yet to come, one month later, when I came to pull my contents out. Again, I reserved a cargo van. Pick up was noon on Saturday. I flew into Atlanta, and was running late due to an issue with the rental vehicle at the airport. I arrived at the Piedmont location at 12:45, and told that my reservation had been cancelled. There should have been a courtesy call asking, but nothing, not even considering that I had an active storage unit rented there. Staff was rude, and pushed me off to the Peachtree location where that reservation was close to not being honored, if not for my pleading. When I came back with a truck rented elsewhere, I asked to rent a hand truck dolly, and again not allowed, even though there were 6 of them available and the store was going to close in 3 hours. Again, I asked to speak to Trell, again I was denied. Staft and management were just so unprofessional. This was the absolute worst experience.

I got locked in on one instance because I wasn’t told any time limitations. When I cleared my storage unit, the employee on duty was made aware before she hurriedly left for the day and told me she would deactivate my access that day. But never made a note in the system. This date was before my free 30 days was up, I called to schedule the walk through the day before my 30 days and was told I couldn’t proceed with the walk through until I paid mY outstanding balance. I explained the situation and the so called manager on duty (not Trell) said that even though the employee neglected to note that I was moving out on a date prior to my 30 days I still had to pay.

Advertised as 24-hour storage but was not the case upon arrival. Representative in the phone was not helpful and coerced me into getting a unit that she insinuated was the same as the one I had reserved, turns out it was a wine unit. The gate code did not work so when I came back the next day and discovered the situation with the wine unit I tried to explain to the manager that I already had a drive up unit reserved and he stated that because it was a few minutes after 6 he couldn’t help me so I’m on day 3 of sorting this out. Very disappointed as I have been a U-Haul customer for 10 years and never had issues like this before.

Trell really helped me in this inflation being a single human with no kids i have been forced to do the unthinkable... I couldn't not renew my lease because I don't make 3 times the rent and I needed a place to store my things while I stay in airbnb till I find a better living arrangement... when I got in 10 minutes before close and I know workers want to go home but that was the only available Reservation I could find.. Trell had no attitude, she helped 3ppl and me all at the same time, never once was she overwhelmed she worked well under the pressure... and again very informative on the company!

I was given the wrong address online and it wasn't open when I arrived during the hours of operation, then they gave me the correct address but the first unit they gave me a unit too small after I told them I needed a bigger size. They then gave me a bigger unit but it had stuff in it so I had to wait for it to be cleaned before we can put our stuff in....When asked for compensation i was looked at as if I was crazy! I moved to Atlanta,GA from New York City/tri-state area. I booked my storage unit in March and arrived to ATL in July. When scheduling my truck and storage unit in March, the automated e-Mail from the U-Haul company did not contain any move in information, only truck return by date. Because I did not move in by a specific date expected by the company, my storage unit was canceled by the company. Kiera came to my rescue and corrected the company mistake. Kierra found my requested storage unit and I moved in on the day I requested. Kierra was very understanding of my traveling situation and accommodated my needs and expectations. The company of U-Haul is below satisfactory but Kierra fixed an issue that should not have been existent. Beware with using the U-Haul company. If you encounter customer service adovates such as Kierra, you will be screwed.

My reservation for a 10x20 unit was not honored I had called repeatedly and visited in person week prior to confirm all- yet I arrived w movers and was told not available. There was one 10x15 available. After exploring I took it. I did not have any choice at that point. It’s ceiling has a rip w insulation hanging and no lightbulb. I was told no more lightbulbs in units and they would put in work order for ceiling- but now we have all our items stacked in the unit so don’t see how they can repair. It should have been fully repaired before move in allowed. My customer service contacts were very nice and very helpful but their capacity to deliver service seemed compromised by your system. There was only one service person there as well. You really need to better support your employees to deliver better customer service Also the back gate broken.

There were 5 other people moving in and out of the same building my storage unit was in which made the process take much longer. I originally was supposed to be at a different storage unit and it was not until I arrived at the storage unit I reserved that I was told there were no units available. My unit was supposed to be a 10X13 drive up and I was given a 10X12 on the third floor. Nobody apologized for my inconvenience, the staff was not helpful.

There is not enough driving room at this storage place. I’ve had multiple conversations with Kierra Arnold about my unit being closed, with me being in another state, I have to do over the phone/online. I closed it online on March 1, 2021 and she continued to send letters, emails, and phone calls when I stated the unit was closed and she also had possession of my keys for the unit. It is now May 6, 2021 and I’m just now received from her end my unit is fully closed out when it should have already been done. I’m sure other U-Haul storages are not this bad or difficult to deal with but I will always let everyone know never to use this storage place in Buckhead as it’s been a huge headache.

The gate was broken, transient people walking through, did not feel safe. The bathroom was disgusting. It smelled like smoke inside building. After speaking to customer service after booking my unit initially to help me choose a size, I was assured the size would be appropriate. It wasn’t even close. We went through 3 units before I was able to get the right size. Customer service needs better training on what sizes are appropriate because it caused a hassle and it’s confusing to the customer. Also, the unit I confirmed online (and went in a week before my move in day to reconfirm in person) was already booked and unavailable when I got there with basically a shrug from the person working. One size up was available but she wouldn’t even consider a discount for the inconvenience though I confirmed that unit twice. Why should i pay more when the unit you promised me is gone? Didn’t matter because even that unit was too small. The whole move in process was a nightmare and the handful of times we had to go to the unit before we could move it out, it felt unsafe. I would never go back here.

Signing up for the storage unit was easy and the staff that helped on the day I first arrived was helpful. I was moving out of town, so I didn't stop back by until ready to move my things out 3 months later. When I arrived back in town and stopped by on 12/3, it was 58 degrees inside the temperature controlled area I rented. There was a sign that said it should be below 65, but I was in a hurry and forgot to call the desk to inform them. When I arrived on 12/4, it was 47 degrees inside and I called to ask that the heat be turned on. I was told that someone "might get to it today," which was an unprofessional, and frankly unacceptable answer, but I had movers arriving so we got started. The movers started unloading my unit and bringing items to the Uhaul truck I rented, parked outside building C. They started with bringing small items (couple of light boxes, my desk chair, some outdoor folding chairs, etc). On the way down the elevator, one of the long light bulbs fell from the ceiling without being hit with anything (we didn't have anything tall enough to hit it loaded in the elevator yet), and hit one of the movers on the head. It shattered, leaving glass all over the elevator. I called the front desk to inform them of the incident and the person at the desk literally said "what would you like me to do?" in a harsh tone. I asked if someone could clean up the glass and asked if an incident report needed to be completed on their end. She said she'd send someone to clean up the glass, and never acknowledged an incident report or asked if the gentleman that was hit by the bulb was ok. She asked what we hit the light with, and I shared that we hadn't moved any large items and it wasn't hit, and that she was welcome to come see what we had moved so far (and I took pictures). Minutes later, two people arrived at the building. Neither of them ever acknowledged any of us, myself or the movers. No hello, how are you, nothing. I complimented one of them on their shoes and she said thank you then walked away. The customer service this day was incredibly disappointing and I definitely would not recommend someone use this location given the chance they may have to interact with rude staff.

We moved to another place bc key cards stopped working allllllll the time. Then you’d have to wait in line for 15-45 minutes when it didn’t work. There is NOT enough people working, they don’t acknowledge when you enter 80% of time although most recent manager (African American woman) was great and helpful... but still couldn’t fix the key issues and give us back lost time and frustration. I contacted a customer service number to uhaul and no response. My advice... GO BACK TO PIN NUMBERS. It’s crazy to charge 300+ abd not have access available

Air conditioning the facility did not work for my climate controlled 5x5 storage unit in which I was going to store precious artwork. My first visit to my unit I found a backpack full of sexual toys and items and drugs as I was going to put a lock on my locker. I was refunded with no questions asked by one month of storage fees which I appreciated. Has a side note I did not have much faith with the management of the facility not returning phone calls or dressing my issues directly.
