From start to finish was smooth and went so quickly I twice had to ask “oh we’re all good? I don’t have to do anything else?” But the staff was great from the ladies in the store to the gentleman we returned the vehicle too, I did use the app during the process and really did seem to help the process. Thank you guys, was a great experience.

Kimberly PThe only improvement that you need to do is ask the customer if they need a lift on the back of the truck that way they don’t have a problem climbing into it. That was the only downfall for our truck not having that and us not knowing to ask if it did.

Juan AThe service I received from U-Haul roadside assistance was nothing less than terrible. I had to call roadside assistance multiple times due to a faulty cable on the roll-up rear door that had come off the spool and become tangled around the shaft, preventing the door from closing. This happened when the truck was approximately ¾ full. I called U-Haul roadside assistance and had the worst customer service experience. This included two inept technicians and extremely unsafe recommendations by the roadside assistance supervisor, Patty, which if followed, could have resulted in injury or death. The first contractor that was sent out clearly did not know what he was doing. As it was dark, I turned the truck on along with the cargo light so he could see to work. I also left the driver’s side window down to prevent the keys from being locked in the truck. After about two hours, I went out to check on him and he just left—with the keys in the ignition, truck running, and the window down. He did not let me know he was leaving and when I called him, he said another technician was on their way out because he could not fix it. I called U-Haul who told me they had no idea he left and that no other technician was on the way. I was on the phone with U-Haul until 1 am at which point I was told that no contractor would be out until the morning. In the morning, I was told a contractor was on the way. When the time passed for him to arrive, I again contacted roadside service who assured me he was on the way. When he showed up, he was older than Methusela and, again, clearly could not fix the problem with the door. His solution was to cut the cable and let the door remain shut. I again called U-Haul roadside assistance and they told me that when I wanted to unload they could send someone out to help me open the door, as it is too heavy to lift with one person. The supervisor I spoke to, Patty, then told me to do something blatantly unsafe—she told me that when opened, I should prop the door open with a board or broom. This was very dangerous—if I had done that and the door had fallen, it could have trapped someone in the truck, caused someone to be paralyzed, or possibly resulted in death. This was an incredibly unsafe solution to a problem U-Haul should have solved on site. The total time from when I first called roadside assistance to loading a new truck in the parking lot was approximately 16 ½ hours. I finally had to drive the truck to the U-Haul location and do an offload of a ¾ full truck into another truck in the parking lot. No U-Haul representatives provided any assistance. Prior to this, a U-Haul employee attempted to open the door and was unable to by himself. I lended assistance and he dropped the door without telling me. The door nearly crushed my hand and certainly would have had there not been a small block of wood that happened to be under the door that prevented the door from crushing my hand. A few days later, I could not find the keys. With much trepidation, I called U-Haul roadside service around 7 pm. They could not get a contractor out until 8 am the following morning. I called a locksmith and had them there in 45 minutes. I had to leave early the next morning and did not have the time to wait on another incompetent contractor. U-Haul roadside assistance is completely unsatisfactory. People moving are under a severe time crunch and the fact that I had to wait 16 ½ hours to get a problem “fixed” is beyond poor. The solution offered no assistance from U-Haul and required me to unload one truck and load another in a parking lot. This was after a roadside assistance supervisor recommend the very unsafe action of propping up the extremely heave roll-up door. The technicians are clearly incompetent. This was followed by nearly having my hand crushed when a U-Haul employee dropped the door without notice. I was offered a mere 20% discount for all of these troubles, an insulting pittance considering everything I went through. U-Haul should refund the entirety of my purchase not only for the extreme inconvenience but for advising my family and I to do something incredibly unsafe, multiple actions that could have resulted in injury or death.

I’ve been there several times to rent trailers and the staff is always professional courteous Wes is always professional courteous. I would like for you to acknowledge this to them. As a matter of fact, I’m going over there again to rent a trailer because I gotta move some more items from my storage.

ERICA LMake sure that your customers understand that you are charging mileage for every mile driven (a lot of money). Cannot read the fine print on the wall behind counter. And was not stated at the time of rental. I hope it was worth it to lose a repeat customer.

LAURA GThe truck that we rented was clean & very easy to drive. It has good power & was ablbe to maintain speeds going uphill, even with the car transport attached, The car transport, on the other hand was dirty and the ratchets that hold the front wheels to the trailer were rusty and difficult to tighten & remove, even after I pointed it out & the sales person lubricated them. The car transport blew up a tire west of Plains TX on hiway 380. due to some mix-ups withthe system, the repair personal took more than 3 hours to arrive with a new tire. However, the tire was not mounted on a rim, so the service man had to remove the old tire from the rim & install the replacement tire on the old rim. Fortuneatly the rim was not damaged and the repair was able to be completed on the side of the road with cars and trucks whizzing by at 75 MPH with 50 MPH cross winds. We were back on the road 4.5 hours after contacting U-Haul for service. We were thankful to be back on the road before darkness.
ANDREW KI emailed the GM (from email I was sent with a link to do that)-NO RESPONSE, had not used Uhaul in 7 years gone way down equipment-wise, website issues, call center issues, what was shown on website was not what transpired when I actually got to the location, the equipment I wanted to rent was “just rented the last one” was the response I got. I had and issue with the truck when I called the location for help, I was hung up on by one of the employees. There is plenty of competition out there REMEMBER THAT! And change the paper form with the gas gauge level it doesn’t match the actual gas gauge in the equipment🙄

Barbara C1) The website sent us to a location that does not house UBoxes regularly. The number of the box assigned to us was disregarded and we were provided an unregistered box that had another customer's lock, which was locked. When we returned the box fully packed to the correct location per the pickup location, the box remained unregistered for days. Our box was lost to Uhaul. 2) You hire contract companies to hire contract companies and not one person in the chain can reach the the third contractor by phone. Too many contractors across the board. Ultimately, the family receiving the box did not have help unpacking. 3) The incompetence it takes to schedule movers two days before the box delivery is lost on me, AND refuse to change it at the request of the receiving party who was added as a contact person to the U-Haul contract. 4) I cannot be the first person in UBox history to ship to another person. 5) We spent more than ten hours on the phone this week trying to resolve all of these issues at $100 an hour. 6) I fully intend on contacting Amex to have them complete an investigation for fraudulent business practices in hopes of gaining a 50% refund. 7) Please contact S Padre Island to confirm that they do not have Uboxes.

UHaul staffs at both facilities (dropoff and storage) on SPI DR highway were extremely helpful and understanding. Though we still walk - doing work while walking is best to keep distance short!! I was shown the map . Though it showed it on the corner & being the first “I didn’t think to take the entrance door into consideration! 2.Light inside the unit would help tremendously!! 3. Staff - Talk to each other! I set up storage. The staff lady said she’d leave the “ clicker under cabinet”due to my daughter & son in-law were driving in the 27ft U-Haul truck to drop off some items from out of town. When my daughter arrived first staff lady was not around & no one knew anything about it!! No clicker was given to her!! The following day I drove by there & the staff member looked under the counter & THERE IT WAS!! Mush easier to enter w truck! We will continue using U-Haul.we’re not done moving. Hopefully one more truck load! We’re learning as we go. It would help if staff were more in tuned to what a customer needs to make the moving easier & less stressful!

Took care of all of our needs, including walking to the back of the storage lot to make sure we found the right area for our rV and got it in properly. We mentioned to him that there was some garbage collecting at the back of the property, and when we returned a few days later, the whole back lot was clean and neat. Storage was easy; and returning the key fob was easy.

Hoping we are not exposed to covid as one refused to wear his mask appropriately. Please fire Guardian Services. Very pleased with Uhaul and its staff. Move out paperwork was a breeze and they were soooo nice!!!!

The late fees and lien threats were obnoxious when each week I called I was told the account was closed and owed nothing to just get larger late fees the following week. Never could reach local store directly always had corporate even after calling local store.

But over all I did walk there the first time just to be told that. Then I just went home booked it online the lady recognizing said we're at full capacity, so I then told the other sales person my recipe and informed them online has them available. Just to inform them not to turn down potential income for the company they represent.

He spent too much time on the premises and not in the office helping customers and he told me that my storage unit was way in the back several buildings over and I walked there in the pouring rain while he drove the rental truck that I just rented so he would stay dry and he didn’t even offer me a ride in the rain. My storage unit was actually 300 feet from the front desk and inside and dry. He wasn’t aware of its location in the least but sent me on.a wet search and he wasn’t apologetic for his lack of knowledge or help while I got drenched, unnecessarily.

They gave me a payoff amount and said that when I pay this, my debt is paid. Months later, I received a notice saying that I still owed money. I went to talk to them, and the manager agreed that I was now in debt to Uhaul again. He said it was because I left a dresser in the unit. I told him that I did not have a vehicle large enough to remove the dresser. Also, when I paid my debt and was told I was clear, the manager at that time DID NOT say I had to remove every single item. I only left one item, the dresser. Now, the manager has put a lean against my name. This is wrong. I was told that I was in the clear. I do not feel I should have to pay this money when we signed saying I was out of debt.
