I am very disappointed and traumatized by my experiences with the truck and services of U-Haul at this location: U-Haul Moving & Storage at S Padre Island Dr. 4344 S Padre Isl. Dr.; Corpus Christi, TX 78411. On Thursday, November 26, 2020, I rented a 15' truck for a move from Corpus Christi, TX to Houston, TX. The truck seemed to be all right, but it was a bit rough. I dismissed any thought of problems with the truck thinking that the manager would certainly make sure the truck was safe and operating well for a trip to Houston, TX. I started preparing my items to load on the truck that evening. By the next morning I reflected on how the truck was performing, I questioned myself as to whether the truck ride home was an indication of a problem. I moved some items using the truck and got caught in a downpour of rain. Turning the windshield wipers on, I discovered that I saw that the wipers were bad. Now, I realize that the tires are bad or unbalanced and not fit for a long drive of over 200 miles. I called customer service, and that representative instructed me to call "Roadside Assistance." I called "Roadside Assistance." That representative assigned me to the U-Haul at: 3611 S Port Ave, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, which he said was showing 6 miles away, but it was over 12.9 miles away. The Roadside Assistance person had arranged for an exchange truck, but when he came back on the phone line, I told him that I want to use the truck in town and cancel my trip to Houston. The Roadside Assistance person said that the manager at Port Avenue will be able to help me and make the change. The manager at the Port Ave. location was rude and refused to follow the Roadside Assistance order. The manager sent me back to the South Padre Island Dr. location. At the South Padre Island location, the manager was rude and finally directed a staff person to take the windshield wiper blade off and match it for a replacement. The staff took the blade off, but he had no replacement. I thought they had put the blade back on, but the manager sent me out with a missing windshield wiper blade, and we had a pouring rain the next day as I was trying to move some items to storage. I am requesting a "COMPLETE REFUND" of what I paid. The managers of both stores put my life in danger and caused great inconvenience by not servicing my truck or replacing it.

overall the rental process was very smooth the only issue I had is with the truck not having a cruise control. my trip was over 700 miles and not having cruise control was a little taxing on my leg. Had to make stops to just stretch out.
Make sure rental trucks are sanitized for the next Custoner. Covid-19 is real any ppl can still get it from moving trucks,. Vans, and equipment. If your ppl cannot clean the trucks inside then I suggest you hire ppl just for that job onlyðŸ˜‚ðŸ¤£ better safe than sorry. IJS One last thing please, notify Customer's if here is changes by text message or email if the reservations have changed, so that a customer can make other changes, because whether a person is moving in town or out of town. My time is valuable and I wasted my time waiting for a truck that is bad business and yes I am still upset, plus I still had to pay the full price. I should have received a discount off the charges I encounter then the truck was half full, so that was an extra 60.00 in total for gas. The requirements should be bring truck back with a full tank of gas. Plus I was charged for extra miles, so yes I am so dissatisfied with the trip this time around. They did not tell me I was paying extra for mileage.
Personnel in the office have no people manners first thing. When we pulled in this female come out and in a very gruff manner told me and my wife we had to move our vehicles then the manager well that was something else. I have seen turtles move faster then him and all he was doing is the computer work. On the other lot guys / mechanics were very helpful.
I ordered a 17ft truck online but the location could only provide me a 15ft truck. Although they saved me money and the size was adequate for my needs, I would recommend having the online options match the availability at the site location. Thank you!
Have a real time equipment inventory. I attempted to rent a truck and appliance dolly but when I got to the location no appliance dolly was available.
I reserved a U-Haul at a specific location that was convenient for me and my family. I reserved my truck two days in advance. When I arrived to pick up my truck they did not have my truck. I reserved my truck through the U-Haul app. This location... 6001 Holly Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78412, did not have my truck. I was sent to another location to pick up the truck. They guaranteed that they would have the truck I reserved or they would reimburse me $50. I would like to collect the $50 for not having the truck I reserved two days in advance.
I wish the number associated with the location wasn't the generic customer service line, I spent a long time on hold and didn't reach the actual location.
I have rented a few times and every time, they have always been helpful and friendly. Excellent customer service. I made a reservation for the wrong day and they fixed it on the spot. Great place.

VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, Dylin Garcia did not even attempted to help upon return, he told me to figure it out and that no one else has a problem returning equipment, further more Ethan in the back refused to be any help, Ethan put his hands back and replied it's past 5PM and I can not help you. I then asked what do I need to do to return dolly,his response was I don't know it's 5 and I'm not allowed to help you, clearly he saw me pull up and waited in a truck till past 5PM. This is clearly very bad customer service!!!
General manager is very unprofessional and rude. Instead of explaining the process to rent a van he chose to belittle and argue with me in front of other customers. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and will advise all my law enforcement friends and non law enforcement friends to do the same.
As far as I'm concerned, nothing. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the service was quick and easy. A +++!
Kristi was a very nice woman who showed me how to use the trailer and helped me put my car on it. She was extremely busy and she took time out of her day to make sure I was set

The vehicle was not well maintained. No windshield washer fluid. Big hole in the seat. As I was driving, I kept hearing a noise but didn't know where it was coming from. I stopped midway during my trip to see if I could find what was making the noise. When I returned the truck go the site, the person checking the vehicle stated that the noise was from the front window seal. The seal was hitting the top of the cab making the noise. That's unexceptional. To pay that much money and to be driving a vehicle that you don't know if it's having a mechanical issue or your load is bouncing around in the back. Not too happy about the experience.
