You don't want food, combustible stored so I had to go through everything, because I purchased an auction and didn't know what was in it. So I was trying to do the right thing. I could have just shoved it into the unit and not cared. But I do care and your staff (2) members were not very nice. Doing this caused me a great deal of pain.

DANIEL JFrom the moment I pulled into the parking lot it was chaos. Cars were parked at haphazardly it staff was working hard to try to alleviate the line, but the line took almost an hour just to get up for my already checked in rental then it took another 10 minutes as the person processed my rental, which was already done on the app then the attendant had the wrong trailer lined up and had to move the trailers so I could back in overall it was a disaster. Then as they checked people in the U-Haul folks would have to go out and teach the people how to drive the trucks and each rental sold while there was four attendance at any given time three of them could be with customers out in the parking lot.
Tim RI asked for brake controller, with 7 way. Hitch was already installed in the past. But the paper doesn't say brake controller anywhere. Was it installed? How would I find this out?

Check in, photo my license, fill out the same data over and over for each reservation and I STILL have to go inside and stand in line to get checked out. Seems like checking in online is a waste of time, the only benefit is that I can avoid photo of my license at front counter
William WNot tech savvy so the check in process was tedious. I was there in person why do I need to use my phone to take pictures of my license. I appreciate technology but sometimes it makes it difficult for nothing! Just my opinion.
STEVEN PMy only complaint was one of the safety cables on the motorcycle trailer was frayed. They were a twisted braided steel. I returned the trailer after hours and when I reached under to unhook the cable I cut my left hand on the steel frayed piece. It was a pretty good puncture/slice. Other then that it was the usual good experience with the location. Always friendly people.

DAVID CI had a reservation for 8:30am and did not get my rental until almost 10am due to a damaged truck at first then a complete mix-up on license plates and the link for the third truck taking forever to send. The GM saw us and gave us his card and asked us to email him, which we did and as of yet, no response. When we got the truck it was on a 1/4 of a tank and that is what we returned it on. Yet was charged $22.52 and after hours fee of $20 of which entailed of me putting the keys in the lock box. I will never use U-Haul again and recommend Budget or anyone else from now on out. My bill went from $72.95 to $170.04 in the blink on an eye. This also caused us an hour of help that we had to move our stuff from people that were waiting for us.

EMILY DThe check-in process went smoothly and the associate was pleasant and efficient. The person waiting at the trailer for me to hook up was not that great. He had trouble plugging in the wire for the lights and started wiggling it back-and-forth vigorously, and then pulled out a knife, and I stopped him and said that I would give it a try. The plug on the car had accumulated some road debris. I used a tiny screwdriver to clear the debris and was able to plug in the plug. When I needed to open the door in order to check to see if the pads I rented were in there it opened extremely hard, and I couldn’t quite get the door all the way open. There was sand in the doorway. When I went to close the door, I could not pull it all the way down and eventually had to use all my might in a foot to successfully close the door. I told the person that the door was really hard to operate and he said the trailer hadn’t been used for a couple of days and that was why. He told me I was all set to go and I reminded him that he needed to check to see if the lights worked which he did and then sent me on my way. My opinion was that this associate treated this as just a job and wanted to just move on and have me not be there. Later in the day while inside the trailer, I noticed the floor was a little bit spongy and uneven. The trailer did ride nicely behind my car. The return process went smoothly.
RICHARD RMinor point, overall everything went smoothly. Nice truck no issues. The initial check in service was excellent. When I returned the vehicle I didn't realize there was a online return option. I went inside there was 1 customer in front of me at the register. There were 4 registers with 4 different guys positioned at each. I stood inline for 10 minutes. Not one person at the registers offerred any service. After the customer in line in front of me was finished he left and I still stood with no acknowledgement. Not one of them even made eye contact. It was Iike I wasn't even there. I decided to leave when I saw a small sign referencing the on line return service. I returned to the vehicle when I was almost complete with the return app I was approached by a lot attendant offering assistance. He referenced me by my name. So obviously he took the time to reference the truck before he approached. The lot attendant was very polite and helpful. He was no where to be seen when I first arrived. Bottom line what should have been a 5 minute process turned into an half an hour.

Vehicle was marked in incorrect spot, and key was not available as per app. Then I had to wait in line in store for 20 minutes thus defeating the entire online process. The fuel gauge did NOT read 3/4 full when I entered vehicle. I noted gas gauge marking on my U-Haul app. I returned vehicle precisely as filled and was charged a fee for being short. I addressed this with staff at location, was informed it would be deducted and it was not as I was subsequently charged. Truck ran fine despite check engine light remaining on. Pick-up and return were very unsatisfactory

I get it, there are labor force shortages everywhere but it would be appreciated next time we need to rent a vehicle.

SYDNEY BWhen I was unloading boxes out of the rental into my rental unit it was snowing and the floors are so slippery once you pass the automatic doors both my husband and I slipped repeatedly. The high gloss finish of the flooring is horrible in combination with wet/snowy outdoor conditions and will eventually cause a slip and fall incident as almost happened on this occasion. Your video will show us repeatedly having to try to stop ourselves from falling.

Nor even a thank you or have a nice day. Communication is key. This could cause a dangerous situation that could have simply been prevented with a little communication.

She was always blocking access to people who had storage units who were trying to either bring items in or out of storage. I had to tell her and staff several times to move her vehicle over the course of a couple of weeks. She still didn't listen. I brought it to Management's attention and the issue still going on she needs to move it or she needs to be fired. She's blocking customers from safely accessing and bringing in storage unit items.

I also thought what I was renting was accessible from the street, however I had to go into a building and use carts to move my belongings in.

Finally she came back and told the guy helping me that I could get a refund because the trash was left there the night before. It was the worst experience that I've ever had with any business, and I will never come back! I left out alot, but the whole experience was unreal!

robert m | Overall ExperienceAfter almost 2 years of using this unit, over $4,000 spent on rent, for a CLIMATE CONTROLLED unit, I came back from my military duty to my stuff destroyed, anything cloth was moldy, anything metal had rust or other forms of water damage. The storage building had a leak in the roof over the past year, the roof was replaced, but I was NOT notified, no text, email, or call, to let me know all of my stuff was in water, and my CLIMATE CONTROLLED unit was no longer controlling humidity. This was unprofessional, irresponsible, and downright negligent. Roughly $2,000 in damage came from a simple lack of effort on their part, and then was told that without their insurance on the unit, it’s not their problem, but that the regional manager would be calling me to discuss it, and have not received anything. Again, their lack of communication showing how unprofessional and irresponsible they are for their facility. I will recommend everyone that I know to go somewhere else, and not waste their money to have their stuff destroyed.

Marie G | Overall ExperienceThe day I moved into the facility on my current unit there was snow everywhere making it difficult to move into the facility. I was promised 1/2 off of the unit for all of the issues, however I am uncertain a credit was applied. The sliding electric door was stuck and had to be held open manually. There were numerous tows blocking the entrance and I was unable to access the closest door to my storage unit. I have pictures that document these facts. A $400.00 air conditioner was stolen along with other items and boxes out of a unit I vacated. When I requested a claim be filed for theft I was continuously put off and have dealt with retaliation for speaking up for my legal rights. I was forced to contact the main office and reached someone who finally gave me the regional managers telephone number, as no one would provide the regional managers telephone number to resolve basic issues. Brittani, the Regional Manager was very helpful and professional. I was lied to and treated poorly and bullied by the current S. Willow facility manager, Richard. Before I spoke up in regards to the theft I had no issues with U-Haul. I would not recommend anyone rent from this facility. I am out a $400.00 air conditioner and other belongings that were stolen out of a storage unit I rented. I paid for insurance on the storage unit and the insurance should have covered the theft. After speaking up about the theft I faced retaliation and would never use this facility again. I no longer trust the facility manager, Richard at South Willow Street U-Haul. The previous manager was respectful, kind and caring. The current manager is unprofessional, rude, abusive and does not respect the customers, or honor his spoken words. I am thankful for the Regional Manager Brittani for professionally and maturely handling my concerns, however the fact still remains that a theft took place and U-Haul refuses to take responsibility for this criminal action against me. U-Haul retaliates against those who are robbed at this facility. I have met several amazing young women staff at this facility who went out of their way to provide kind and caring service, however with the current facility manager they are afraid.

Then, not her fault, but she was new and did not know anything. They saw us pull in with the 27foot truck, we told them it was completely full, and the room that we were upgraded to did not even fit our stuff. we had to bring more stuff back to where we are staying, which is definately not the point of having a storage unit. I cannot even walk in there, so there is NO way of me finding anything ever until we move it all out. They should be knowledgeable of what size rooms will fit the trucks that people pull in with. If they knew they did not have a unit large enough to accommodate, I would expect them to get on the phone with a different uhaul in manchester or close by and find one that would be sufficient. If that is not possible, youre better off letting the customer know that rather than having an unhappy customer, because now my finace said he will never use uhaul again. and i really am not happy that i cannot go there to look for stuff when i want it. just saying- not completely her fault, she was new, but she should not have been left in that situation, there should have been someone knowledgeable with her until she was sufficiently trained.

Also, yesterday. I received a final auto pay reminder for July after I checked out of the unit last week. I know it's probably because the two systems aren't linked, but it still could be slightly worrisome to some people. However, a terrific experience overall, especially with the first free month after my move here from Texas and with the ability to get settled into my apartment more gradually and in an organized way. Finally, I get a lot of these kinds of auto-surveys including one for recent service to my Hyundai, and this was the easiest one to use. Too many of these things are attached to some kind of Google or social-media thing that my phone doesn't like. Thanks.
