joylynn h | First ImpressionsThe location itself was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The equipment was also in excellent condition. My only issue was with the U-Haul website and app—not the location. I had selected mobile pickup, but it turned out that option wasn’t actually available for the truck and location I chose. While customer support and the on-site employee were both kind and helpful, the app shouldn’t allow users to select mobile pickup if it’s not supported. Because of this, our 8 a.m. pickup was delayed until 9 a.m. It worked out okay for us, but it could be a bigger problem for someone on a tighter schedule. The website gave no clear explanation—just a vague message that our equipment wasn’t ready and to call customer support. We ended up waiting in the parking lot for an hour, time we could’ve spent packing if we’d known in advance. It was frustrating to lose that time due to a system error that could be easily avoided.

THRESEA BThe truck was dirty when I picked it up and had glass everywhere in the back. It also was on E and I had to immediately put gas in it which costed me more money than I expected. The customer service was just ok but the older lady that checked me out seemed as though she didn’t want to be there and she was kind of rude. I would not recommend.
KEARRA CThis place is a mess! I got 2 trucks last week. When I returned the first one around 7 pm I couldn't find anyone in the store. The garage was wide open, a pit bull greeted me in the store, and it was still minutes before the attendant replied to my calls (from the restroom, I assume, where he must have released the dog). The dog was aggressive with me and I ordered it away several times. The attendant claimed it was a stray that he'd made friends with. 2 days later I got the second truck. I stopped in early to understand after-hours pickup. A different attendant assured me that it was easy and there would be a combination sent to me through the app to get the key. My reservation was for 8 pm and I showed up at 7:45 pm. The doors were locked and the lights were dimmed. The app wasn't giving me access to the key and kept telling me to go in the store. As I was talking with customer service on the phone, I saw the attendant get up from behind the counter, walk across the room, set the alarm, and come out the door. I asked about my key and the code to get it. He told me I had to use the app. He got in his car and left. The manager had to come and get me the key. I finally got the truck around 9:45. When I returned it the next day, the same attendant went to check the miles and went for a drive. 5 minutes later he checked me out. I'll be back to this location because it is close to my business but I would not recommend it. Oh, and the trucks were dirty with mud on the dash of one of them.

LUE FI had reserved my truck online, with the assistance of customer service. Later I had to call this location to move up my pickup time and was able to do so. I received the email to confirm this and the truck was ready for pick up when I arrived. Inside was clean and everything was in order, with the exception of a furniture dolly that was just sitting on the floor in front of the service counter. I had to move it so that I or anyone else could trip over it. But the lady at the counter was very helpful. The truck was clean and very easy to drive. I would use and recommend this location.
CONSTANCE LCommunication is very poor. Employees spend more time on there personal devices then taking care of the customers. That's why they don't answer the phones as well.

When the sun hit it, it became very hard to see. Overall the unit exterior was clean and everything else was in working order.

KEARA CUnit was heavily damaged. had a check engine light on, made horrendous sounds. service member at pickup was extremely rude and barely helpful. information for the truck was incorrect and took far too long for it to get corrected. service member gave me lots of attitude. the was no key drop box at pick up. this service was terrible. at this point in time I am extremely unlikely to use a uhaul again even though past experiences were positive. I nearly canceled this service and demanded a refund but that was not an option at that time.

The employee's were rude short and treated me with disregard. I started renting in November and left 5/19/2024. Let me give advice never lock up a good paying customer's things without letting them know. I swept out the smelly unit and have pictures to prove that. I emailed Uhaul Shadeland. And I will never send anyone their way ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff there are wonderful and I would recommend renting a storage unit from UHaul anytime.

As a result, I disposed of the mattress and box frame because it's cheaper to purchase new ones than to fumigate my home. I took photos if you would like to see them. Being that I had nothing but my car could not even afford to get a truck to put the stuff in nor that I had him to do what I was doing. I just said OK I will try when I knew I couldn’t. I was only to get what I can that would fit in my car and did. She had called someone and they told her I had to get it all out that night. Well I was unable not to get it all and had to leave it. I can’t remember what I was doing at the time my phone ☎️ ring. On the other end of the phone the lady asked to speak to me Billie and I said can I help you. She told me her name was Kathy and she said Billie when are you gonna come and get the rest of your things out of storage. I explained to her what was told to me and she asked me who was it I told her I can only describe what the lady look like, but she did apologize because she has no control. She told me to come and get the rest of my things out. Ms. Kathy ask me if I wanted my couch and picture and chairs I told her yes. I said all that to say this that was nobody but God to lay upon her heart and her managers heart. To tell me to come and get the rest of my things and I think and praise God for that because they didn’t have to do it but the did. I appreciate it thank you all, for your help.
