Tyson CYou should train your employees to be patient! The Black lady who was working on the morning of May 18th (Sunday) was extremely rude. As someone who had never driven a U-Haul before, I didn’t know how to start it. Instead of helping, the rude lady kept telling me, “It’s the same as driving your car,” without explaining how to shift the gear—which is totally different from my car. She even intimidated me by suggesting I should get out of the U-Haul just because I didn’t know how to drive a car which I found insulting as I have a driver license. It’s a really awful experience which shouldn’t happen.
XIAONA CI told everyone that the AC was not working. They simulated to have fixed it, so I took the truck. They told me if it didn't work I should tell the staff at my destination. So I did, and they told me that it was not their problem because only the origin facility had control over the account. I drove 4 hours with a 100 degrees on a truck that pushed hot air though the vents when turning on the AC. Read all the suggestions online and in the app, nothing worked.
JOSE Mbeef up the computer system. I had to wait 30 minutes at the counter and I was not the only one waiting for a slow computer system. employees did all that they could do and were very professional.

LARRY PFirst I want to start by saying that this location and the people working there were great…HOWEVER…the 501 Texas Ave location had the rudest worker and didn’t want to help us even though our reservation sent us to them.

TED DDo Not Use This Location!!!! Corporate should come observe this shit-show and take over management immediately!!! May 2, 2025 - 2:30pm Pick-Up: I Reserved online and completed everything prior hoping to expedite pick-up. Alec H was very helpful/respectful but experienced endless computer delays trying to complete the paperwork/contract. Took at least 45 minutes. May 3, 2025 - 11:20 am - Drop-Off: Alec H disconnected the trailer and attempted to complete the check-in process on his phone. It was trying to charge more/different amounts than the day before, and after a few minutes went inside to get with his manager - Jennifer L. He returned with the same story and trying to get me to accept the additional charges even though the return was hours inside the 24 hour rental. He took me inside to Jennifer (who was operating one of the check-in registers) and she was very polite and helpful but could not figure it out (and the waiting area was full with customers trying to get their rentals). After a few minutes I agreed to her trying to figure it out later and call me Monday. She could not send me a receipt but did mark the time on my (OUT) Equipment Contract along with her business card. Sunday, May 4, 2025 - 6:16 am I received an email receipt showing the In-Town Return (In) with the correct amount. I will watch my accounts to make sure no additional charges show up.

RAY BThe doghouse was not fastened properly, had to wrap my leg with a shirt because heat or steam was burning my leg. I paid full price and was charged $11 because the tank wasn’t full. I explained that the pump I had stopped at was broken and I had to guess the amount to put in.

FARLEY FI returned the equipment at 10 o’clock in the morning at four in the afternoon I receive a call saying I haven’t returned the equipment. I have not received a receipt or a reimbursement because of mileage. I did not do 30 miles and the service is lousy.
ILA SThe customer service person did not greet me even after I said hello. Even when I was in front of her "no Hello, how can I help you". Instead she said, " what truck are you returning". She had a bad attitude. The truck stunk like dog, I had to wait almost a half hour for it to be defumed. The exterior wasn't washed either. The matt was wet under and keep slipping up during my move. It was a less than acceptable experience.
ERNESTINE TVery hard workers. Very studious and efficient. Parking of trailer and second story move was difficult but doable. They finished a 5x8 trailer in less than an hour! Wow! It took us way longer to pack it, lol.

XAVIER WWhen I went in the uhaul the 10x10 storage that I was renting was 159 dollars what I was paying until it went up to 169 and I was late a couple of times and paid 189 and extra 15 dollar charge but the storage price saying one thing and I'm getting charged another the 169 I'm not pleased and will take it up with cooperate

Then a week later I get a call from the cleaning lady that my unit was open. BS! The manager claims there isn’t a master key but that is a lie. There definitely is, that’s why you have me use YOUR lock. My Canvas was stolen and my camera stand, not sure what else but that canvas was special to me. I am just upset that someone went through my stuff and the manager lied!

The staff frequently parked the returned trucks ready for cleaning in the way of cars needing to leave the lot. They blocked the exit. The AC was often inadequate in the summer.

Mahmoud F | Overall ExperienceOver things were good. The air is kept high enough that anything elastic I had is now damaged. The major issue I had is the lack of parking at Uhaul. I loaded up on a saturday morning, Friday night, and Wednesday evening and because of the lack of parking everyone parks in the loading zones which makes it impossible to move in and out of storage. The people that park there are renting trucks and there all day and the ramp that is provided has a drainage spout and isn't wide enough to move anything. Uhaul should prohibit people from parking in the loading zones.

Also, one of the employees was very dangerous when bringing truck/van rentals around the lot. He would accelerate and stop extremely fast, to the point where you could actually hear and see the truck sliding/skidding on the asphalt. This was a very dangerous environment for all present, and the other employees only said “I hate it when he does that”

My CHIEF COMPLAINT however is that every time I call this location, I have to be on hold for over 30 minutes. That is unacceptable. I don't understand how anyone would treat potential customers this way. They don't even ask if they can put you on hold - they just do it. Luckily, after my 30-minute wait, I got Celeise who helped me my reservation and later with a billing issue. She kept me from just going to another storage location.

I still had a 6 hour leg of my drive to do last night, and I had to stay overnight in order to drop my belongings off.

I moved to another facility that is brand new climate controlled with better access, cleaner facilities, with way better customer service. The 10x15’ unit at the new facility is $81 a month compared to your $215 a month crap. There has been rotting food in one of the storage rooms in your facility for years, the smell has only gotten worse and you all have failed to locate and remedy the problem. The fact that the monthly storage rate has more than double while the facility and staff has gone downhill is utterly reprehensible.

I immediately moved several boxes I had in my car into the unit and found the building very clean and easy to access my units. After hunting for a unit at several other companies I grew frustrated but U-Haul made getting a unit painless. Thank you!

Nobody really spoke when I was standing there waiting and when I got my keys I had no idea where I was going in the building.. I had no idea you had to check in and enter from separate key pads.. and when I found out where it was it was actually right down from the office and I was confused why, with 4 guys standing around, they couldn’t show me where I needed to go and how I needed to get into the building. A storage is a storage but I probably wouldn’t use it again.

The carts are old and missing wheels which makes it difficult to get your things moved in and out out (sometimes you are having to wait for a cart). Several times I have tried to get in but the entire loading area was filled with UHAUL trucks and there was no place close to park and load (very frustrating).

With the exception of having enough staff fully capable of quickly processing clients needs when the client is in a hurry (and I was). The ability for all businesses to remain fully staffed with energetic, friendly staff is clearly a nationwide problem that has affected all businesses. On my last visit, it was the client that kept adding on question after question that affected my experience and not the local staff. I'm always grateful for U-Haul, especially in College Station!

The storage facility was equipped with the restrooms and it was very clean. I would highly recommend using uhaul storage for storing you things. I also used uhaul to rent their truck and cargo van in the past and the people there was very nice they always got me what I needed. The price was great.

Y’all may seriously want to reevaluate your staff and lack of customer service, we also received a bill for an additional month of rent and we don’t even have stuff there, we paid everything that day we moved out, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place to use, they should just shut down it’s so bad and has been for years!

Now 2 days later, time wasted waiting around to get in, truck returned late because we couldn’t get in and still no access to our belongings. Not a good experience at all.

Robert L | First ImpressionsThere is very little climate control in the climate controlled units. It was over 85-90degrees I realized after I paid. I didn’t even use my unit because it was too hot…intolerable especially with my health conditions (heat causes me hives). Also there was very little parking and the parking was very difficult to get to. I paid for a month of climate controlled storage I could not use! I tried to go back to the office the same day I rented to ask for a refund but the air conditioning was out so they had the doors open! It was over 100 degrees outside! There was a line & I could not wait in the heat due to my health conditions so I left. Then when I went to check out of the unit I was told I had to go up to the unit, get the lock off and bring it to the desk even though when I rented the unit the lock was already on the unit door!
Katherine M | Overall ExperienceSo… The staff and normal operations at this you all are fine; They were respectful and diligent, but they have been given an impossible job to do, the site is newer and has good amenities, but the site needs to hire about six to ten times as many employees to handle the move in season at Texas A&M, this is a predictable flood/tsunami of incoming business, and the business should definitely hire at least six more full-time agents for move-in time. The site and all the sites around it were covered in trailers trucks etc…Literally hundreds of trailers and trucks parked in every conceivable place in every direction… and it was almost impossible to move vehicles in or out, this is really not the fault Of the manager or staff working there, they did all they could, but whoever oversees staffing this site next to Texas A&M University definitely needs to rethink their staffing idea for the arrival of the students for the school year at a university with 66,000 students! Pretty inexcusable, really! On 10/19/2021 was my first time seeing the storage because my daughter put my belongings into the storage for me because I lived in Baton Rouge, LA before moving here this past weekend. I was charged $150 on a smaller storage. And I knew it was smaller because the way they had to store a one bedroom of furniture in there. But it is what it is, no need to cry over spilled milk.

I have been in the facility whenever someone was waiting on a person at the counter and answered the phone, "U-Haul please hold' and didn't get back to them. This website said to contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.' I wish I could have talked to someone to resolve this.

We were told the unit number was 1406 so we had unloaded about 1/2 the a 15' truck of stuff next to that location. However, there was a lock on the unit. I had to go back inside. I was then told that unit was occupied and I needed to go to unit 1122. We had to re-load and move all of that stuff over to that unit. 3. On returning the truck, I was not given any paperwork showing I had returned it. It was returned clean, in good condition, with the same amount of gas. Twelve hours later I still don't have a confirmation email. 4. My answer for question number six is no only because I did not have a third option. After having moved from one city to College Station we were tired and the inconvenience was significant. If I had had the option to say maybe that is what I would have chosen.
