Ralph is great. Wisely showed me the trailer before I rented it so I could be sure it was big enough for my load.
GREGORY GMy money was taken for a storage I didn’t want online instructions was so misleading thought I qualified for a free month as per website I was only trying to reserve storage space but my money was taken instead I tried to cancel and get a reduced I was took through the loop finally I got someone to help me then I was told I had to wait till Wednesday I called back and the representative did not represent uhaul well she has no patience she was rude she dispatched me to another service the young lady spoke well very perfessional she informed me that she was not allowed to speak to customer and said she will explain to the store rep when the store got on the phone again said she said you she can’t and will not willing to help you I told that is not what she said she keep putting me on hold she is the same one that hung up on me the first initial call I made she accused me of yelling and I was not my voice is naturally loud as I explained to her and she said I don’t care you ain’t gonna be yelling at me I have been going to this uhaul for a long time and I was never treated in such a way I probably will not return to this store again the rudeness lead me to get a storage at public storage online was smooth with no problems and I got Halloween special at 50% off I have yet to be refunded because it’s a short process to take my money but a long process to get my money back

Ron CThe van I rented , the steering was very loose, to put into gear you need to move the steering column up and down. When I called U-Haul about this problem I was told to move the steering column up and down as I tried to shift. But once started the van road ok and the employees that waited on me were exceptional.

Onnaday M | Online Move InThe truck struggled to shift gears for the duration of the rental and needs maintenance. Two of the tires were clearly low on air and flattening out. Passenger door would not open from the outside. The lever had to pulled from the inside to allow the door to open. Van was rented out with less than 1/4 tank of gas remaining. Will choose a different location to rent from in the future.

Decoste AThe trailer was fine. The initial service was slow and I had no idea what was going on until the trailer finally got hooked up. The accessory items came out quickly, but I wasn’t told the covers I ordered were there. I had to assume and took them. The drop off was great! 5 stars. I dropped off on Monday around 7 PM. The mover help part of the package was unacceptable. The website gave the wrong date for help. It assumed I needed help on the pickup day even though I made sure the date was correct when I ordered the help through the app. Then even though I made arrangements with the mover on the correct day they didn’t show up. I called the moving help line they said someone else up with me. I had to pay extra money. I called them up and they said oh we can’t do it today so I had to get yet another person so I think it was the fourth or fifth group, but finally somebody helped me in that person was good But the process was horrible and I had to spend 69 extra dollars on the U-Haul rentalbecause of something that was not my fault

HERMAN EPlease make sure that the belts are tight when securing a transporter. The staff worker who hooked the transporter left without any explanation. Two other staff workers had to help and explain what I should do on the road when stopping to check the belts. A retired Vietnam Veteran helped secure my front right tire because the belt had come completely off.

CHRISTOPHER AI requested a 20' truck at the Hanover Street location. It later changed automatically to the Washington Boulevard location. It said I was guaranteed a 20' truck there. However, when I got there, they only had a 15' truck. Seeing as I needed to get things done and having no other choice I proceeded with the 15' truck. Once, I got the keys, the gentleman walked my just outside and pointed to where the truck is. Being unsure as there were multiple truck there I asked which truck it is was. Fortunately, someone else there stepped in to not only show me where the truck is, but went over some things. The problem inside the truck was that there was a lot of heat coming from the center console piece. We found out there were four latches to secure it down and it only had one of four secured. Once all four were secured, the problem went away. So, I would not recommend this place, unless you don't want the truck you were "guaranteed" and if you want the employee that you initially talked to to get a different truck to be lazy and not walk you to your truck and show you around. Big thanks to the two employees that helped me out: one that stepped in to show me the truck when I first received the keys, and the employee I talked to when dropping it off (he returned things I left in the truck that forgot about).

ROBERT KNothing but problems at this location. The person "helping me" was very distracted and started helping another coworker when their customer had an issue. They had to re-enter my information twice because of distractions. The other customer had a serious issue which lead to shouting and raised voices due to a language barrier. When I returned the trailer the person behind the plastic ( yes they still have plastic up at this location), they took my paperwork. When they said they would send me a receipt they couldn't find the app on their phone! They took .y number and said they would call in about 30 mins to get me my receipt. No call, no receipt. Took 2 days to get a receipt. The people "helping" customers need to get a lot more professional at this location. They act as though they couldn't care less if they were there or not.

QUENTARIO KThe truck had non functioning head lights and could NOT be driven at night. I had to take a taxi home and again another in the morning to retrieve the truck and drive it back to Baltimore. I should really get a discount AND you should have a word with the maintenance manager at the location.

ETHEL HWhen I arrived to pick up the truck, I was instructed to wander through the lot to find my assigned vehicle. I couldn’t find it so I went i side to ask for help and was told the truck wasn’t there. It was at another location about 6 blocks away. When the young man helping me offered to bring it back for me, he was told by the older man at the counter that he wasn’t allowed to assist me and that I had to go get it myself. So, I called my husband to come back to the store and drive me to another location. Had I been told the truck wasn’t there beforehand it wouldn’t have been an issue, but between the rude way the older man responded and having to get my husband to come back after leaving, it was overall poor customer service. Once I did find the truck at an unstaffed storage facility, the cargo area was covered in dirt and had to be cleaned out before it was used and the cab had stale muffins tucked in the door.
TIFFANY SWorst U-Haul experience. It took nearly 3 hours to pickup a trailer for a local same-day return. Staff were clueless and said numerous times the trailer was not available when there were 4 identical trailers on the lot. They couldn’t look up anything or answer any questions without a manager, who was on site but outside smoking. Finally got a trailer and the tail lights were broken, so started the process over again.

Tarshia B | First ImpressionsI reserved a 5x8 trailer online to pick up some furniture and, when I arrived, they hooked up the trailer and told me that the right turn signal wasn't working. The guy stated that, based on his tester, the issue was my car, so my only other option was to rent a truck. I didn't have any flexibility in my time line, so I said I'd rent a truck. Only they said they didn't have any trucks, and I'd have to rent a van. And, because they lease the vans, I had no choice but to pay the "optional" insurance. My rental went from $25 for the trailer to over $125 because I had to pay for gas, extra insurance, and mileage. Not to mention that the whole ordeal took well over an hour because the guy who did the van rental didn't know how to use the system. And, to top it all off, I took my truck to the mechanic to get the electrical fixed and he said it worked fine. So I spent over $100 unnecessarily. I filed a complaint and was told that they'd have to reply within three days and it's been a week.

JEAN GWe were late for picking up equipment. I should have been proactive and called to let them know. The location actually booked another reservation for the same equipment. The other party had not shown up to pick up equipment so we were ableto get the trailer we wanted. I feel they could have called me.
CHRISTOPHER FThe people there were very nice. Unfortunately they told me they did not have the dolly that I had reserved. Meanwhile, I had gone out of my way to choose that location to pick up a truck because the CSR I spoke to on the phone previously had told me this was the only way to guarantee that the moving blankets and dollies I had reserved online would be available.

KEVIN SI was forced to use Uhauls insurance in place of my insurance which I have used several times. Most recently in March. I was charged for more mileage than I traveled. I was charged for 4 gallons of gas and the van was delivered with the same amount of gas as picked up. Will never use this location again. Will probably never use U-Haul again. I also had to sit and wait for someone to come inside to wait on me. I waited for over 10 minutes. A man was stacking the boxes but did not get anyone to help me at the counter. Nor did he address me. If I had not taken an uber, I would have left.

Sometimes customers with larger items that does not fit through smaller doors may require help and the help is only available after hours. All in all it’s always an excellent experience at this location 2929 Washington blvd. Just maybe that one service can be added.

I had to throw away a great deal of my belongings because of the rodents and mildew/mold smell in all my fabrics. My sofa which is not even a year old ruined. That was a $1700 sectional. Countless clothes had to thrown away. When I obtained this horrific storage unit I spoken to at the time nice women about my situation. I was being illegally evicted. Me and my kids were legit homeless. I lost my job, I lost everything. Then to open my unit to what I did, and having to get rid of so many of my belongings was just utter heartbreak. I don’t have money to replace these things. Almost all of my son’s clothes had to be thrown away. The mice made a nest in them and the babies died. So now my baby is unfortunately out of clothes. We have no sofa or coats towels blankets etc. And what makes this whole ordeal even worse is the staff. I have NEVER in my LIFE experienced such poor customer service ever. On move out day the women behind the counter had music on way too loud, then did not even acknowledge me. When I asked my question she did not even respond. How does a place like that stay in business treating people so poorly? The site manager at this location is a very nice gentleman, and the one or two interactions I had with him he was kind and helpful. He just has an awful staff. I will never recommend this place to even my worse enemy. Horrible horrible horrible.

I rented this trailer because there is no truck that can accommodate 4 passengers. Above all, it was a nice experience. UHUAL, please 🙏🏽 it’s very possible to build a 4 seater truck. Consider those with kids without an option of leaving 1 or 2 kids behind while everyone else get into the truck and there is no AC at the back of the truck. If you are providing DI

I did not have the option to select a location for the storage unit and it automatically went to the location. I called asking for a refund and to reserve the correct location and have not received one yet. I looked online and it said that I already moved into the storage unit when I had purchased it the same day.
Paloma H | Online Move InWhile I did the early check in to obtain a free lock online by providing a selfie and my drivers license, I was told that I would need to buy a lock when I arrived to the storage facility in person. I also had to change the type of unit I had, because I did not know ahead of time that I would have to go upstairs (without use of an elevator) with furniture. When I upgraded the unit, I did not know how much it would cost. There was no 8x10 unit. There was either 8x8 or 8x12 unit. There was a mouse trap in the storage unit. The staff asked if I was sure I wanted to remove it, since there could be an infestation in the unit due to food. I did not pack any food with my stuff. I needed the space for my stuff, and the unit itself after the fact was $154. There were a lot of markings on the walls of the unit. For the amount of money charged per month, I would think that it would be a nicer storage unit. The staff was really friendly and helpful, though.

Or mouse ?? .. we pulled my dresser out an found a nursery of pink mice delivered in my Brandnew dresser, for which the dresser had to be disposed of , some of my clothing had to be disposed of because it was used as a restroom , boxes was filled with mice drooping , an my possession smell like pure SH*T … an because of that reason ! I paid a full month June 23 and moved out June 26. If the unit is rented after the 26 to someone else then your being paid twice for the same unit which is not legal. JOHN K | First ImpressionsI want to provide a shout-out to the employees at this U-Haul, as I always had exemplary customer service experiences, but with that being said, it does not change my experience with this storage facility. Firstly, there was a miscommunication about which storage unit was mine, and the person who gave me my unit gave be a unit which did not match the unit I was assigned in the computer. This led to future confusion and stress as I had paid my rent, but there was a lock on my unit door. I had to wait for 30-40 minutes for this issue to be resolved, and it caused me to not be able to access my unit that day. Additionally, there was a significant rodent problem within the unit that I had due to there being 2 mouse-sized holes which led to the units on either side of my unit. There was mouse poop crusted on top of my boxes, there was a significant amount of poop which was in each corner of the unit (where the holes to the other units were) and my kitchen box which had pots and pans in it was filled with at least 4 oz of mouse droppings and my belongings had been significantly damaged by the rodents chewing up my belongings and pooping on them. I had followed all directives to not store food, drink, perfume, hygiene items, scented candles, or cleaning supplies in my storage unit, and yet the mice still were in the unit. The woman who I had checked out of the unit with was incredibly kind and swept out the unit and cleaned the droppings up so that I would not have to, again, speaking to the customer service provided. But, based on the damages and miscommunication, I would never use this U-Haul facility again.
