DONALD J | First ImpressionsAfter a VERY long wait to pick up my rental due to a computer/network problem it was found that the left tail light wasn't working. It was quickly tested by myself and the attendant and was found to be a problem in the trailer wiring. Although there were multiple other car dollies available there was no offer for me to use a different dolly. The attendant just asked if I was going to be towing at night. I said that I wasn't and he sent me on my way. I was disenchanted with that. I did return the car dolly nearly 5 hours late and was charged for a full day rental. Given the VERY long wait and the improperly functioning equipment I would appreciate some leniency on my late return. If everything went smoothly and the equipment worked properly I would be absolutely accepting of the additional charge,
Mike BWould be nice if you had more employees. Took me 45 min to get someone to hook up the 5x9 trailer because the woman working the counter wasn’t strong enough, and the guy that was working hadn’t taken all his classes to “legally” hook it up. Not the woman’s fault as she was busy with other customers, but was very frustrating waiting to get hooked up. All she had to do was hook up the chains, the electric, take a pic, and I could’ve been on my way.

THOMAS MContainers should be able to be delivered with a few days of arriving at the Blaine facility and it was a week and a half and so therefore I was charged for an extra month rent. Also pickup driver was 1 1/2 hours late and when we called. No one seemed to have a clue about when they arrived we left for 10 min and she arrived and we had workers at our home so if we would have had an accurate time we would have been home

TRESTON DWhen we first rented the unit years ago, online stated we chose an indoor unit. When we arrived we were informed it was an outdoor unit. Over the years the staff didn't maintain the unit by ensuring rodents and bugs weren't infesting the unit. Mice got in our unit and chewed through our uhaul purchased cardboard boxes, chewed through bedding, towels, paperwork, our wooden dressers and desks. There was mice poop on literally EVERYTHING in both units, nesting, and "food" from the mice bringing into the units from outdoors. We had to throw away THOUSANDS of dollars worth of furniture, keepsakes, Toys, bedding, mattresses and boxsprings, etc. When speaking to the manager he offered nothing aside from "sorry that happened." When I asked about a credit for our monies paid, he said maybe you can try the insurance. When asking for more information he didn't know the name of the insurance company or their phone number. He seemed disinterested in helping remedy our crisis of losing our home furniture and items. Once I stated I would contact corporate instead, he then asked one of the workers what the phone number and company name for the insurance was. We have spent so much money on uhaul over the years, I am APPALLED at the lack of cleanliness of the unit. It was covered in mice feces, cottonwood cotton that was able to come in from under the garage door because the seal is cracked and damaged. We were forced to purchase the uhaul issued master locks so they have access to the units, yet they did NOTHING to maintain the unit for us. I will NEVER use uhaul for anything. I will not recommend uhaul to ANYONE. I will share my poor experience online for all to see. Biggest mistake I've made was giving in on day 1 when the booking was incorrect, I should have walked away.

Like what the heck is that. Not my job. So I wasn't told to do this and the next morning I'm charged because they had to do the check in. You know type a few keys on a flippin computer to check it in their truck parked in the designated place. That is so ridiculous. The gentleman the day before at the time of pickup were fantastic.

CHAU BFirst tow dolly didn't work because of the lights. Second tow dolly worked fine and worked as it should. I asked about returning after hours and they said "no problem" just drop it outside under the tent. I specifically asked, do I need to check it in or do anything when returning it. I was told "nope, just drop it. Those are super easy for us to check in and it won't be a problem". I was then charged a service fee because it wasn't properly returned. Called to complain but the manager wasn't available and would look into it. Haven't heard anything yet.

STEPHEN AThe clerk that helped us was very good, however the equipment was terrible, but with alot of extra effort we were able to get the job accomplished. Both of the wheels were severely bent in and the strap latch had to be rigged so it wouldn't just spin!! If we weren't in such a pinch to get a refrigerator, I would have cancelled the rental immediately!

LUCAS VIt's a busy, central location so if you don't check-in online be prepared to wait a few minutes. Rest assured though that once it's your turn you'll get what you need. We worked with Tanner to get the right truck squared away and we were on our way. He went above and beyond, was very patient and never got flustered with some conflicting information on his computer. Fortunately we were just emptying a storage unit, so only needed the truck about half a day. The cost ended up being less than half the online quote once all was said and done. Uhaul is always a great value and this location has everything to make your move go right. Thanks Tanner & team!
SHERIE CDid my check-in online and was on my way in less than 5 minutes. They hooked the trailer up and unhooked when I returned. Took about 2 minutes to return. Store is clean and the 2 gentleman working were polite and knowledgeable. I would definitely use this location again.

The lady who was serving was very aggressive and angry at the person who went to help get the uhaul and also aggressive and angry at me. When I approached her about it she said she was joking at the staff, then she began angrier and canceled my service. Because I didn't have enough time to search for another uhaul location, I decided to retake the storage and uhaul. On the next day, when I went to the storage to put stuff in it, the door couldn't open. Then I went to the staff to get help from them but, no one was available to help me to open the storage door in that cold and freezing weather, so I returned all the stuff that were in the car. Another thing was the car manage. From 9890 central Ave. to 698 Highland Tril was 10miles but the manage they entered was 20 miles.

I wasn't able to even fully explain the situation I was seeing with multiple credit card charges/double billing before breach of contract and auctioning my items were mentioned, and further efforts to try and actually explain the situation were met with an aggressive tone, immediately cutting me off mid sentence and not allowing me to explain the full situation. This experience is THE specific reason I moved out of both storage units we had rented. We now have a storage unit with another company, and will not be using uhaul in the future for our storage or moving needs after this experience.

Some employees to busy to be pleasant or helpful. Customers bother them. Days after we called to verify they knew we were out of the unit, we still got a e-mail for a bill to continue. Need to get your act together. Good: Several employees we pleasant, helpful and knew what they were doing. Overall I would use U-Haul again. Just have to be watchful.

When I have the funds, I do plan to pay my debts but right now, I am barely making ends meet. Also did not like the attitude of the manager as she was rude and disrespectful.

stephanie m | Overall ExperienceIt may seem weird I would give a poor experience when all the bullet points say yes, but here is the deal, was the staff friendly, yes, but it took four people to get the simplest thing done, the first gentlemen was very friendly, but couldn't do one thing right, the second person helped him a little, then walked away leaving him once again to struggle, a third person joined the struggle, but he too left when things got too complicated, finally it took one young man to take over and complete the task of taking my online reservation to rent a storage and make it happen, but this poor soul was running the entire show at this facility, it was like he was the only person that could get anything done right. Even after he had completed my transaction, the card he gave me wouldn't open the gate, and I had to wait and additional 15 minutes just to interrupt the young man who was helping someone else and tell him my card wouldn't open the gate. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time I got there to the time I left for me to drop off an air compressor into storage. So painful.

Very difficult to get moved out of storage in a timely manner when the best time to move is evening / nite time hours and you can't get in to your unit. JERRY M | Overall ExperienceThe staff was great; always friendly and helpful. We had three units for approx 9 months; spanning summer through spring. We were storing all our personal belonging from our home after we sold our home and were looking for a new one. All three units were outside. Unit One's plastic sheeting along the ceiling was 'flaking' and left everything in that unit extremely dirty. Unit Two had water on the floor at one point. We are assuming from the ceiling?? It caused an excess of humidity which ruined several items and required lots and lots of extra cleaning. For example, I had a Rock Salt lamp that sweated and left a salt residue all over the box it was in. Premium boxes that were supposed to last for several moves, caved in on themselves due to the humidity resulting in boxes we couldn't restack when moving, and damaged items. Unit Three had mice issues. Everything had to be sanitized; they climbed into the holes that you use to carry the boxes and had feces in 95% of the boxes. This unit housed all of our kitchen items, so probably had food smells which I'm sure attracted them as well. I spent weeks sanitizing every item I could, and threw away what I couldn't... that included linens, kitchen electronics, furniture, etc. We lost a lot of things. One thing to note is this unit is on the outside of the property which is next to a tree line, so we are assuming that is why we had issues with that one. We opted to go with the outside units because we wanted to save money. We have never used storage before and thought it would be fine. We were wrong. If we have to move again, we would never consider this as a viable option. That being said, the staff was great and very helpful.
