The manager on staff, was rude, and clearly did not want to be there. I would never recommend or subject anyone i knew to be with her. even if it is for 5 minutes. For the price we paid to use your equipment, certainly should not have to put up with clearly unhappy management. they are there to help us, not feel like an inconvenience.

The original debit card that they put on file was not the card I wanted to pay with and they assured me that it wouldn't be charged and when I return the vehicle I can pick a different card for payment. When I came back they told me they already charged the debit card I didn't want them to charge. So I payed over $300 in fees on my account as I didn't have any money on that card and got overdraft and transfer fees.

Maybe you shouldn't talk down to your customers, make up stories (about the limitations use on your rentals across state lines) or treat people like complete crap. Instead of making excuses, why don't you work on providing CUSTOMER SERVICE. Speaking specifically about Jim/James and the GM of The Uhaul location in Blaine, MN.

Was advised to fill gas prior to returning the vehicle. I pulled into the gas station and attempted to take the gas cover off. It was on so tight I could not remove. Brought it back down 1/4 of a tank and it took the person (a young man) who checked it in at least a minute and two hands to loosen the gas cap. He then told me to drive back to the gas station to fill it up or pay 40 additional dollars. His comment to me was it must have been a really strong guy who put it on last. Neither his comment or the fact that I had to go back to the gas station was appreciated. This should have been checked and verified that it was easily removed prior to me taking it. It is a defect in the product since most gas caps can only be tightened so far. I will look for other alternatives in the future since this experience was not what I would have expected.

Lucy and her crew did a great job of helping us with our recent move. Lucy got us a 26 foot truck with only 4350 miles on it for our trip from Minneapolis to Phoenix. The truck and the car carrier perform flawlessly. This was the third time I've rented from them and they've always treated me very well. I honestly believe there's no way they could've made my experience any better.

We reserved a truck on line from the Coon Rapids location and they called and cancelled on us after trying to down sell us to a cargo van. We then reserved by calling the corporate reservation number. The Blaine also tried to cancel on us even though we were assured that our truck was reserved and available. While our experience was good it was very frustrating and consumed a lot of time. Why let people reserve on line or on the phone if the locations can just cancel on you?

Make sure to tell the renter right away that there will be a hold on your account for more money than what the regular rate it. The actual price will be adjusted when the Uhaul is returned.

This comment is not towards this location at all. I'm just very frustrated with U-Haul in general. I called the Coon Rapids Blvd location two weeks in advance to reserve a truck. The gentleman on the phone was friendly and helpful, said he reserved a 17 foot truck for me for pick up at 7am at the Coon Rapids Blvd location on August 30th and that someone would call me to confirm on Monday the 29th. I got the confirmation call on the 29th: a 15 foot truck would be ready for me at 10am at the Anoka location on August 30th. The only thing that was correct from my reservation was the day of pick up. What's the point of a reservation if you're not going to actually hold what was requested?! Moving is stressful enough, to add the fact that my moving vehicle is going to be smaller and at a completely different location...unbelievable. I said that doesn't work for me because I have to work from 8 til 4 the day of the pick up. She said that location doesn't open until 10. I said I hadn't even reserved a pick up at that location and that it was a 17 foot truck. She said that was all that's available. 15 foot truck at that location. Complete crap as far as customer service goes. Luckily I'm only moving across town, a 15 foot truck will probably be fine and I have family close who I was able to coordinate a pick up with. But what if I wasn't? What if I was moving across the country, didn't have anyone nearby, and needed that 17 foot truck? Plus they charge you for mileage so giving me a pick up location 10 miles out of the way is frustrating as well. I'd be very surprised if I ever used U-Haul in the future, and will give my opinion to friends and family if asked about moving truck companies. I work in customer service (I have for 10 years), and have never seen less respect for a customer.
