Staff at this location always tries to do as little as possible by pushing customers to the app which costs time.
KARL RWas told that the check out process could be completed online; however, it required me to download the App. Seems I did most of the work confirming the condition of the vehicle both when picking up and dropping off the vehicle. The App required “location services”, and the photo taking process took several times tapping to get it to work. The staff at the site were not particularly helpful or friendly and pretty much expected me to figure it out on my own, which I did, but not without a few curse words under my breath. I was not impressed with the level of service from the staff.

RONALD FUhaul had an option to get the box picked up and dropped off at my house. Turns out the moving company they had listen on their website was a scam. The number didn't work and upon research the picture for the moving company was the same as another company on the site and the company had zero ratings. I am not sure why it was the default option when I booked and I ended up having to get a family member to pick up the container from the facility
Arthur HU haul containers was a much better option than a storage unit. It was so convenient to store at my own pace. The deliver of my goods was timely and handled very professionally.

ANTHONY DIt was a total mess no one could find information regarding the unit in the computer employees couldn't find the issue and didn't have a clue on how to fix the problem Then when returning the Uhaul same problem couldn't find no information on the computer about dropping off the Trailer very very disappointed with all of it because of it we were not able to receive our deposit because they couldn't find the contract in the computer Very very pour communication Will not be using Uhaul again
MICHELLE L | Overall ExperienceThe UHAUL Staff at this location are AMAZING!! However, the location overall was clean, but not inviting. This UHAUL Facility (Clarksville TN) compared to the ones in Tallahassee, Florida and Sioux City, IA is a bit sketchy - it has a very unsafe feeling, which is why I wouldn't recommend storing anything there. Upon arrival there were a couple of homeless people hanging around outside of the building and the surrounding area just doesn't appear or feel safe!!
LEVEX SI checked in via email instead of the app. It took far to long to upload the pics, make comments and then have to do it all in reverse when I returned it. Honestly, next time I'll just reserve it online and walk in to talk to a person. Also, when I was having trouble with the return (the sign was confusing at drop off), the staff member that helped me was not happy to be bothered. And, now that I think of it, whomever called my emergency contact to verify, was super rude. The truck was also pretty grimey in the cab. Needed a good wipe down.

NATALIE SWe received the truck on E, 48 miles left to be exact, returned it on 30 miles (if $4/gallon for them to replace the gas, why were we charged $25 for gas). Also asked for appliance dolly, only had the one standard dolly strapped to the wall in the van so spent an extra $10 for nothing. They don’t pay attention to detail.

KENNETH EQuick, easy and took good care of my needs. Polite and in and out in 10 minutes. Download the app and take photos of your drivers license in the app. That make it even faster. I have used this location multiple times. Love the service.
David OIt was not explained that I would not have full access after 5:00 pm. Had to utilize a small door to get furniture into storage. Once inside, the area near my unit smelled like raw sewer.

The only thing your agent could say was it was in the email sent to me AFTER I greed to load share for the rebate. It was never disclosed prior to the verbal agreement. I changed my work schedule as well as asked friends to take off work as well in order to accommodate your request. At the very last minute I was notified that the load would not be ready u til the following day. This would mean another day off work and my friends helping me would need to take a second day off work or not help at all. This is unacceptable and someone high up needs to call me and make this right. The managers I have spoken to so far have been rude and no help whatsoever. I will keep trying to contact anyone I can until this is fixed. Call me 832-445-6877

There should accommodations for patrons who return a rental earlier than the original rental agreement. A patron gets charged for additional days, but yet you can't get credit for returning a rental a day earlier.

But when I came in the next day nothing I reserved was available. So they had to cancel both my reservations and make it so I was a walk in. That was super frustrating to me because I had other people waiting on me to get the truck and storage so they can help me move. A 30min process was over 1.5 hours but they were really nice and helpful so that made it better . Also the door is wonky and will say it is unlocked but I can't get it . That has happened a couple of times.

The small (inexpensive) units are in the middle of the building with stairs to get to them and then a hall to walk down to get to your unit. There is a cart for the ground level from your car to the stairs but then you have to carry it up the stairs and down the hall. The units with no stairs are more than double the price. All units are built on the same cement slab warehouse floor why stairs? I paid for a month but it was to difficult for me to do the stairs and hall over and over so I took stuff out instead of bringing the rest wasting one months rent.

They didn't have any disk locks for me to have via their free lock deal, but they did allow me to use my regular lock until I can get the money to get one. Patricia P | First ImpressionsStaff is rude and act as though you are bothering them. Storage unit had a leak in the past causing mold to my things which the majority had to be thrown away. There is also a hole with mold on the floor of the unit. Some of the Insulation laying on the wire at the top of the Storage unit fell on my furniture and boxes along with black tar used to fix the roof of where the leak was. Manager at the Providence Uhaul did not care and again treated me like I was bothering her and was just trying to get me out. Went to sweep out the unit because I moved my things out and planned to be out by the 31st of the month. When I got to the unit there was a green band on it saying ready to rent. Went to the office talked to the manager and let her know. Asked if I was going to be charged because I hadn't swept it out. She said no I was done. When I mentioned again that I couldn't get in the unit she asked me when I moved my stuff out. Told her I had moved the last of it on Saturday night and she said that they weren't going to keep the unit open for a long time. It was only 1 day. Moved stuff out on Saturday and went to sweep on Monday. I still had 4 days left on the contract and they put it up for rent before the completion of the contract. I was never contacted about the unit or notified that it was being locked. They made the unit available knowing of the mold and hole in wood floor. Also, did not remove the insulation. I had that unit for about 10 yrs. I have another unit unit with my father's things which I am removing, I've had that unit for almost 3 yrs. They would not cover the damages and expected my insurance to pay for it. Why should I have to pay for something they were responsible for maintaining, meaning the roof with leak. Also, it was a climate controlled unit. Unfortunately, the Providence Uhaul makes all Uhauls look bad. I will never use another uhaul and will advise people not to use it either. I spent a lot of money to protect my things just to lose over half of it in the end. I am very angry that the things I was trying to protect are gone. Needs new management because the one there has no clue on what is going on there and how to treat people.

Deborah B | Overall ExperienceMy unit 759 collapsed damaging a lot of my things was told someone would come out to fix it last Saturday at 12 no one called waited until after 1:30 to just do things myself and found my property thrown everywhere broke not how I left my unit lady calls Wednesday I want to say with an attitude saying they have someone to fix I explain calmly that we had no more time to waste I was told 12 o’clock it would be fixed and no one showed up and my husband and son had to fix things so we could see how badly things were broken she caught an attitude and hung up I wouldn’t recommend to anyone I just wanted to get my what was left and not broke into my other unit and not have to keep paying for a unit that collapsed.

The storage unit was not as I thought it would be. It does not look like a regular storage unit, more like a hole in the wall. I had to get 2 units to accommodate a 2 bedroom apartment. Renee was an absolute ANGEL! She was wonderful!

When I went to find another unloading area, two cars were parked sideways taking up 4 spots. So we ended up parking at the front and our unit was all the way in the back. We didn’t see any other unloading areas so if there were any, they weren’t well marked and nobody showed us any. People (some were employees) were smoking out front so nobody was paying attention to them. The person who ended up helping us get in did explain the check in process, but again, not super clear from any email I got initially. I would recommend this because of the price and location but everything else was just a little frustrating.

Checking in and out was a breeze and prices aren't bad at all on controlled temp storage units. Moving in and out was easy with all the u-boat style carts they have for you to use. Definitely recommend.
