Everything was great honestly. The problem if there is any is that there's only one person on duty. It looks like sometimes if a customer has an issue it's gonna hold up someone else from getting service. I understand your process of making money, but customer service should be number one priority, even though I was taken care of promptly with no issues. I will definitely use U-Haul in Berlin again.

I had a bad previous experience (not at this location) with the trailer not being properly hooked up, so I was very happy with this experience.

For me, I feel like they should have somebody to go inside those storage units and sweep it out. It smells like mice droppings is still left dirty like they can’t sweep it out the whole time that I was putting my stuff inside the storage. I’m just smelling mice droppings you can get sick.

Truck had a half tank of gas. As I was pumping gas to get it back to half tank, the gas gauge wasn't moving, and I ended up filling up the truck. Fix the gauge, or I will have to not recommend this location. Otherwise very good.

It was too clean! They armerald the floor boards and it was like an ice skating rink in the cab. It was very dangerous to drive. I had to use bathroom mats so we didn’t slide all over the place. Please tell your people not to do that, it is a big hazard.

This is my 3rd time getting a storage from Uhal, everyone was pleasant except that I didn’t appreciate your landscaping was passing the blower while I was moving my stuff out..I did ask them nicely to skip my area which they did but I still had a lot of dust & dirt that traveled with me n in my vehicle..I was upset cuz it actually was on my body & clothes as well but other than that it was a great experience..Thank You!!

When I asked the employees at the Clementon office for the insurance certification, I was told that the contract was the insurance. I am a retired Police officer, and a contract is not an insurance verification. If stopped by police and you fail to provide proof of insurance they may issue a summons at the very least, or impound the vehicle at the very worst. The verification needs to have the owners name and the expiration date on the documentation. I was finally able to get the insurance documentation by calling your customer service. A very helpful operator, whose name was Helen, went above and beyond, located the insurance document and emailed it to me.

The entirety of everything I stored there is covered in rat poop. IT IS DISGUSTING and I cannot believe you charge that much per month and my stuff was ruined. I would’ve put in in my garage if I wanted me stuff ruined. I honestly couldn’t be unhappier; the office staff is rude, unhelpful, and no where in the contract did it say “we have a rat infestation”. Come on. This was an insane experience and I couldn’t recommend to anyone.

Yes the problems I had was mice debris all in my storage. I had three storages, nasty funky shit with dirt I was never told about debris were getting into your storages. I called about it in the middle of my stay there and they said they was gonna put new weatherstrips in there. They never did. They never called me about it, they raise the rent up when I was in the storage and didn’t tell me about it. I had to ask them why and my pay more than I used to pay the following month that’s what I Storage. I don’t understand why Storage go up when you’re in there because they know that we can’t move them out until we get ready to , I will never have my Storage at U-Haul facilities again. Mice mice all over my stuff. I left a lot of stuff there because I didn’t want it anymore. I put it in their dumpster and now they trying to find me for it. No, I’m not paying another soul I will let everybody know on social media. Do not rent from U-Haul , thank you

The pick up and return were smooth and easy. The gentleman taking the truck back in was very friendly and helpful. Staff overall very nice to interact with and pleasant at this location. The truck itself was very clean and easy to drive, however a little rough ride with roads in this area of NJ- not much you can do about that. Thank you for providing these rental services.

The truck I rented had 140k miles on it- it ran rough and the drivers seat showed every mile on it. There appeared to be nicer trucks, I just rented last minute. Time to retire this truck.

The only time there was light around my unit (028) was when I put in the move. Before I put in the move online, I was using my car and phone light in the dark to see what I was packing. Few days after i moved I noticed that uhaul has taken $100 from my account without any notice in the mail or phone calls. So i called the corporate office and compained about it, of which I was tdld it will be investgated. Today (9/16/24) at 14:51, a lady from the Clementon branch called and told me that they saw me on their camara throwing stuff at the dumping area. I told her that there will trash there already and since there is no sign of warning by the dumpster not to throw stuff there, that shows that it's ok to fo so. She told me the stuff that were there, were trah from uhaul. So why didn't you put a sign or warning? Trully, I think uhaul left the trash there to trap customers in order to charge them. This is wrong and a means to rip customers. I could have understood if there was a sign and deliberately threw stuff ignoring the sign. This has to be investigated more.

You put a 40yrd dumpster in the middle of the facility and many people thought it was a courtesy to allow people to get rid of stuff. A week later you put a sign on it saying there would be a$150 fine for using it. That sign should have been there when they dropped the dumpster off. Just one more way to scam your customers....

All of my stuff got ruined it had mold on it it had rat poop everywhere it was dirty. I had mold on my furniture I had boxes that had been chewed through I had my baby pictures that were eating up by mice I had my stuff in there for 5 years nobody wanted to help me just because there wasn't insurance on it I should not have to have insurance when I pay for your facility to take care of my stuff worst experience worst help of everybody at around. I mise well left my stuff out side that's how good your storage units are. I told the staff about it and all they cared about was if I had insurance. Didn't want to help me didn't want to give me my money back or anything horrible company horrible horrible like I said I should have just put my stuff out side and it would have been kept just as nice. No help from staff , uhaul should really look into how you are billing your customers, after the first month it should be prorated. Why should I have to pay a full month if I was only there an extra 5 days and you know that unit will be rented out. I rent a lot of trucks and storage from uhaul but going forward uhaul storage will be my very last option. I will drive an extra 15 miles not to use uhaul storage.

What could’ve been a quality storage unit turned into a complete and utter scam. I am unsure if management changed since the year long self-storage contract, but after being assured that we would have dumpster access for a small fee, I was greeted with a bait and switch. I was told no customers are allowed to utilize the dumpsters on site, even for a fee I would’ve happily paid. With increasing costs for even the smallest storage units and failure to uphold their own policies they had posted on the wall behind them, I left this particular moving and storage service with a sour taste in my mouth. Keep your options and available services up to date, UHaul of Clementon. You scammed a working graduate student out of $50 when she would’ve happily cleaned the unit out with access to one of your dumpsters for the $9.00 fee posted on the wall behind the clerk’s desk.

All in the process was kind of chaos on part of me and my son who is the driver of the truck. Planning of moving was brief. Do not have enough knowledge how we work with Uhaul. Calling for further assistance is a long waiting for more than one hour or less two hours. Movers were not prompt as schedule. The took an hour of service instead of two more hours. I am not happy with the movers . They have other commitment in the hour as schedule. Expectations were not met . Time set after 2 pm they arrive 7 pm. Almost of the truck stuff was unloaded by my son alone. He and I are frustrated with the experience of the mover.

The guy that was working there was not helpfull at all. He did even tell me what unit I had. I had to read through the paperwork to find out. He also made me pay for an extra day of truck rental because he didn't want to check the truck in even though I was on the property with the truck fully refueled and rented a storage unit there because I had to offload. On top of that he didn't check the truck in until 30 min after I left the property. I will never use these services again if this is how they treat people.

My unit was covered in mouse pee and poop and the staff told be it was my problem bc I didn’t have insurance in my unit. I payed $100 a month for 4 years for U-haul to keep my stuff safe and protected, why should I have to pay more for insurance. If I was told in the beginning that I needed insurance for a rodent problem, I would never have put my stuff there in the first place! I had to throw out 90% of my things! Now I have to spend more money to buy everything! $5,000 wasted! The worst customer service and company ever! I will be looking further into this as well.

From the outside looking in, it looks amazing. And it is to a certain extent. The employees were helpful when needed, and the overall place was convenient and kept clean. Although, throughout my experience of just short of a year, I’ve had many problems with rats in my storage. If counted, I probably found over 2lbs of rat feces in my lifetime at Uhaul. As well as I found a ton of sunseed shells (the rats feed) throughout the storage unit... I changed the poison box that they gave me numerous of times. But that didn’t stop the rats. I found a pile of rat hair in a box of clothes that I’ve had in the storage as well. But when brought up to the employees of Uhual, they said they can’t do anything about it. Thankfully, I was leaving the storage unit a few days after I found the rat hair in my box of clothes. I don’t know if this rat problem was necessarily a Uhual problem, or maybe there was just a hole in the storage. But it would’ve been nice to receive some type of compensation or anything to relieve my stress of the problem. Because it was very upsetting to see my hard worked items have tons of rat feces all over them.

Too many times the gate didn't work, as in, it failed to open after inputting my access code. Other times gate didn't open to allow me to leave the storage area. When gate was inoperable, staff had no other choice than to leave storage area unsecured by leaving gate in the 'open' position. The building and the agents were friendly, the autopay would fall off randomly, the actual storage container was a nightmare there was rat feces everywhere I just threw away everything I had in there

Exceptionally chaotic!!! The staff was poorly trained in how to handle a surge. They spent literally hours dealing with one customer complaint while holding others up. MUST DO BETTER!

I think they should have more help on weekends, like 2 people inside and someone helping outside with storage lovks , gate access, truck rental etc.because 1 Sat not too long ago i waited 21/2 hours .

We used the storage unit for four years, as we slowly went through the contents of my parents’ home once it was sold. We were able to get in and out at our convenience and always felt safe.
