I have not used the subject truck due to being in the hospital emegency room most of last night the 30th of MMay.i have cancer and was trying to make a move on the 30th and 31st. Im returning the truck early on the 31st due to a medical emergency.

Keith BEquipment was well maintained, trailer looked like it had just received some new tires. There was loose rocks in it and some old caked on dirt in various locations. Trailer pulled smooth, no issues all lights in working condition.

DAVID SCustomer svc employee was occupied in a conversation with a customer/friend in the next line as she tried to service me. She failed to ask whether I wanted insurance which I never get in the many rentals I have made from you and I did not notice until I was gone. She was new, I believe, and needs to be counseled a bit re both attentiveness to the customer that SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE ATTENDING TO and needs to double check expected procedure at check out. She was pleasant and not said in anger but it does need mention.

Peter LI don't think you need to improve anything. Renting a trailer was an easy experience especially since we had so many things go wrong on my end. The staff at the uhaul office went above & beyond to work with me. They didn't charge extra high prices like the renter agreement authorized. I will use uhaul in the future for all my renting needs.
April MAfter hours drop off is very tight, barely enough room to maneuver in the parking lot. Vehicles being returned block the parking area almost back to the feeder road.

They all have looked out for me and taking care of all of my needs when I say looked out meaning they’re very understanding if you have situations arise when I open my storage at that time, my son had just passed away. Tammy A | Overall ExperienceVerify all lighting on the equipment is in working order before customer departs. My son was following me in a seperate vehicle, on arrival at our house, he noted the right brake light on the trsiler wasn't working. He wasn't sure if the light was working as we left the U-Haul lot, I pulled out, in traffic, he had to wait for several cars to pass. Once at the house, before we loaded, I unplugged the trailer from my truck, verified the voltage for the right brake light was normal, with the brake applied, on the trailer plug. I removed the lens from the trailers light, found the filament broken for the right brake light. I had a couple of spares bulbs in the tool box on truck (I an old Boy Scout; "Be prepared.") Put a new bulb in, brake light now working, no problem. A bulb like that, can break anytime. Working.one minute, not working the next. Made our haul with no problems, actually finished early, returned the trailer early the next morning. Hope this helps! Ray

STEPHEN CI rent trailer. S3 to 6 times a year from another location. I ended up having to rent a pickup truck from this location. I will never, ever rent from you all again. $400. I was charged to run a freaking pickup truck. I will be telling all my customers to never use u. Haul, you can look up my phone number (832) 552-2438 and see that I'm not just someone who rented one time, but I will be telling all my customer's about this and I will never use uhaul again

If they can contact us about late rent, they can contact us about a broken gate. How is it secure if anybody can access it. It shouldn't be open at all that defeats the purpose of secure.

Units are supposedly 10x10. I moved my items into a Public Storage 10x10 I had excess room after combining the Uhaul storage with another 7.5x5 storage. Dissatisfied is an understatement.

I arrived at the Conroe location and asked for the free storage unit. The manager gave me an attitude and with her tell (eyes looking up and to the right - usually means person is lying) told me "No, that is only if we have available units to give you". I had just arrived from 224 miles of hauling a trailer and had no patience to deal with her, so I just rented a smaller one to unload into.

It was too late at night to be able to unload our truck and turn it in. We had work the next morning making it very inconvenient. I called the 24 hour customer service line, and they were very helpful. They gave me another day on the truck and said they would add a free day onto my storage. It was still very frustrating because we had to get the truck unloaded and have the job completed before going to work on Monday and because of the situation we had to work all day and then go back and unload a truck. This could’ve been avoided had they checked the storage unit to make sure it was empty and clean before renting it.

However, the clerk was very polite if not forthcoming.

The facility itself, although not bad by no means, is in need of some improvements for sure. There are several newer storage facilities very close by, that are comparable in price, but the staff at this U-Haul is why I chose to store there. The upper management over this location need to take a hard look at what goes on in this area and get caught up with the competition. They also need to know how hard this staff works everyday to meet the needs of the customers they serve and they should be recognized somehow other than a pat on the back. I mean these people bend over backwards to meet the needs of anyone that walks through their doors. If the upper management can not see this and does not do something to makes sure this staff knows you appreciate how hard they work, then you need to find another job........just my two cents. Thank You to the staff at The Conroe U-Haul.

Mike C | First ImpressionsI am giving a below average because of the hoops we had to jump through. I want to stress that staff was great and friendly, however U-haul leaves a lot to be desired. We reserved a 10x10 storage a week in advance. Picked up our trailer, loaded and headed 4 hours to go drop everything off. Upon arrival we find that our storage unit was rented to someone else and we were left holding the bag and trying to come up with a solution. Take note, that we still had to drive home 4 hours! The only option at the Conroe facility was to split it up into 2 10x5 units, in different building no less. Not to mention they were not drive up and we would have to shuttle everything in small loads. This was unacceptable. Thankfully, your employee Jose called around and got ahold of Ashlie at the Spring, TX facility (about 20 miles south). They had a drive up so we headed that way. Calling into Uhaul to change where our trailer was to be dropped off was a horrible experience. The first call, which took over 30 mins to get someone on the phone said she would update it in the system, but that I would be charged a destination change fee. Unacceptable and I told her I refused to pay this as it was a mistake on Uhauls part. She in turn gave me another uhaul number to call, as she couldn't make any changes. So, we jump on another call and wait 30 mins to talk to someone. He informed us that the site would not accept our trailer and I would be subject to a destination change if I left it there. I told him we had spoke to Ashlie and she said she could accept. Anyhow....Jose and Ashlie were great! The rest of the process leaves a lot to be desired! Last thing you want to deal with is unexpected changes after spending a full day loading and driving. This made for a horrible experience and stressful to say the least! Get your stuff together!!!! And give some Kudos to your employees! They are the ones on the front line and have to deal with your mistakes.

The insurance I purchased at the time of the trailer rental has not been acceptable. After two months, I have not received any settlement for the contents of the trailer as specified in the contract which included $5,000 in content coverage. I have moved the contents two times to storage units personally and was informed that the automotive insurance, not the insurance purchased with U-Haul, should cover the contents of the trailer. What good is this insurance if it will ultimately be passed back to my auto insurance? Not Happy With Insurance.

There was a unit 2 down from mine that appeared to have been recently vandalized, and when attempting to call the office to inform them, I was just on hold for an absurd amount of time. None of that really was an issue for me, except for the terrible customer service. The staff was not very friendly and acted as if I was just a burden on them. I actually needed to downsize anyway and chose to relocate to another storage company based on their customer service alone. Thank you.
