Once waiting more than 30 minutes in line, I got my truck, went home and started moving things in the truck only for them to call me and say they gave me the wrong truck and I needed to bring it back. The check engine light was on in both trucks. This is my second time getting a uhaul from there and have had terrible experiences both time

ARETHA MMy recent experience with U-Haul was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I arrived at the location and waited over an hour before being helped, even though three employees were present. One counter representative appeared available, yet no one acknowledged me or any other waiting customers. By the time I was finally seen, it was 8 PM closing time which only added to the stress of an already exhausting day that began at 6 AM. To make matters worse, the U-Haul I had reserved wasn’t at the original location, forcing me to drive 30 minutes to another city just to pick it up. After all of this, I accidentally dropped my personal car keys into the U-Haul drop box, likely due to how overwhelmed I felt from the delays. When I asked for help retrieving the keys, the staff member rudely came to the door and said, “What do you want?” before walking out in silence to retrieve them without a word of acknowledgment or assistance. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Given the lack of organization, poor customer service, and disrespectful behavior, I would not recommend this U-Haul location to anyone.

CORNELL PI drove exactly 11 miles. I picked up the truck and it said “FULL”. So I got gas before returning it and I was able to put just under 6 gallons of gas?! So I guess it WASN’T FULL?! I think that is a little shady that I get stuck putting $20 of gas in the truck that I only drove 11 miles. Pathetic.

It was my understanding U-Haul might reimburse the gas difference but the associate Garfield was rude when I asked him about it and told me he was going to charge me cleaning fee . I had to talk to Bianca to get the cleaning fee issue resolved, this was not the first time I have rented a truck from that location but the experience makes me wonder if I would be rent again from them in future.

JAMES SSo, we rented a trailer from here. Everyone was pretty nice, no issues getting it rented, the equipment was very clean, the store was very clean, and the whole process was very smooth initially. However, upon returning the U-Haul, that was where the huge problems started. We tried to return the U-Haul to a location that was one of the U-Haul dealers, and that was in Oxford, Georgia, and they were not even open at the time that we were supposed to return the U-Haul. So, we then had to rush down to the Conyers location to return the U-Haul, and when we returned the U-Haul, again, everyone was very nice and very pleasant and had great customer service, but the problem is no one actually logged at the Conyers location that we returned the U-Haul to the Conyers location. So, I received not one, but two phone calls asking, hey, when are you going to return the equipment? And then we were charged a late fee, even though we were not late. If you go back and look at the cameras, we were on time. Again, everyone was very nice at the locations , but they clearly need a lot of training on how to register and account for when vehicles are coming in or when trailers are coming in, and they need to be notated promptly and on time. Very frustrating.

CURTIS LCustomer service and management need improvement. The 2 Agents who checked the return are unprofessional and disrespectful. They didn’t take in consideration my questions . Agents not helpful solving returning issues raised. They just more interested in wrong location drop off fees instead of giving alternatives for solving the issues. The GM is more concerned by the fees without taking in consideration my concerns. Items that occupied the space inside the trailer. Manager during dispute about the fees collected said will call back after investigating my concern but didn’t return call .
TAOFIK BI did reservations for a U-Haul and a storage unit. It was reserved online. I went there and did my paperwork. The representative fail to give me my storage unit or put it in the system. I packed my items and went to the storage and I didn’t have a storage number or unit. This was a mistake That was unacceptable so I had to go all the way back home with no storage unit, which caused me to use extra mileage that wasn’t in my budget and caused me to do a move out delay. On top of that me thinking I had a storage unit there and couldn’t find the storage number called customer service and they say she did nit have me down for the storage unit. I had to move my furniture with my 16 year old son alone because my move into my storage was delayed and the helpers wasn’t available the next business day.

They had rolling racks, to put items in storage. I like that they had cameras . When we had items from our storage unit that we didnt want, they have a free space that is open to give it away for whoever wanted it. I also like that they had a bathroom on the main floor and an elevator that worked. It was always clean. The staff is friendly. This was a good storage unit for the 2 years used. It held our things well. When our organization started, we had a small space. Then we realized that we needed a medium space. The staff provided a smooth easy transition. Here are the reasons I could not give it a higher rate of Excellent: The price increased, every 6 months. I didn't like that the automatic timer lights would go off to quickly and you could not reset the timer for when you were there. Once inside the storage unit, it could use a lot more light. In the summer it was hot and unbearable at times at above the mid 80 degrees and over.

The elevator was not working several times and we were not able to reach our unit as needed. The unit was in a climate controlled floor and it was often above 95 degrees when I was there. I am super disappointed in my uhaul experience and plan to not ever suggest it as an option to anyone. Hopefully, you can make it a better experience for others in the future. P.S. On October 18th while loading some items into my vehicle that I got from my storage, I tripped over a speed bump. The effect was so hard that a tremendous knot appeared on my forehead and black circles appeared around my eyes. I was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately no concussion. Injured my knee more than I realized. Even though the incident was my fault, I still should have been given some consideration (like free storage for a month, etc.) particularly since I sent pictures to them showing my injuries. I want to thank those who were on the scene to assist with putting my items in my vehicle, securing them until my next of kin came and particularly for the employee who was rubbing my back while I was face down and praying for me. Thank you.

Myself and a friend had to walk all of my furniture up THREE flights of stairs, because the elevator was out of service. I broke several of my personal items & even got hurt a few times. It was horrific! If I would have known prior to renting the storage unit, I would have never chosen this location. I was very unsatisfied. I spent almost $200 to rent the unit and couldn’t even use the main thing to get my furniture to the unit. The only units that were available at the time was on the third floor. The sad thing is that they told me there was nothing they could do to help me, because I did not have Uhaul insurance,I had to beg for 1 month free rent. The sad thing was I had 2 storage units 3110 and 30101 in my name and 1 in my husband’s name and we had it for almost 2 years. So now I have a bedroom set without a dresser I just emptied the unit on January 30, 2022.

Tanysheyia P | Overall ExperienceAlthough I was unable to get the storage unit size needed, I must say that the frustration experienced from weeks and weeks of calling the 1150 Dogwood Dr. Se Conyers, GA location was definitely made right upon my arrival. There were a few things that went wrong with me trying to reserve a storage unit from not being available, wrong unit, and then to no unit being reserved. Kayla was a blessing by being able to work her magic and honor the info. provided due to a mishap after not having anything available! Staff member Madison was EXCELLENT to include her thoroughness and knowledge about the reservation and unit process, her effective communication, professionalism, and patience displayed for all the questions that I had. Upon me returning the next day after realizing I would not need a storage unit, I was helped by staff member Shauntae or Shondra (please forgive me if name or spelling is wrong), but she was just as pleasant and helpful! This is a perfect example of why Good Customer Service is so important! The treatment from the names mentioned above made up for the entire negative experience that I had with U-Haul prior to my arrival.

My daughter is severely allergic to mold and mildew we couldn’t bring anything from the unit into our home. As I tried to speak to the lady at the front desk she repeatedly said “ there’s nothing we can do”. Well my lawyer says otherwise, and I’ve also been waiting on a call from the manager Christina, this happened on august 1st, it’s now the 7th and still haven’t heard anything.

It is clean and well maintained The biggest negative was that due to the very narrow hallways and low ceiling ductwork, we had one piece of furniture that could not be maneuvered to our unit. That single piece now must be stored elsewhere. Suggest that in future customers should be alerted that their large furniture may not fit into some units, even though the unit is large enough for the furniture. Also, the overall building design is not moving friendly. Hallways should be at least 1ft wider, or designated areas should be wider

In addition, the only lock that was on my unit was that of the staff (not my original lock) after being told that my lock will remain in place. Additionally, I have called the day that I was moving out of my unit and reported the incident...sent emails and still, “no response.” As an end result, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone. I have been a customer for over 17yrs and this is the first bad experience that I have had at this location.

We went to move on the 17th and at 10 when we got there what are access code was denied come to find out after 10 p.m. they close the doors and cut off the access code to where you can't get in. I don't understand why you have a access code and we couldn't get in. I think they need to clarify that the storage building closes at 10 p.m. and does not open till the next business day. Business is not handled that away when you have a storage building no matter where it's at and you got to access codes you should be allowed to get in at any hour it doesn't matter what time it is even if it's in a secured area and then lock doors as long as you got your access code then you should be able to get in. I had to finish oh my movie out of the building on the 18th of my fiance's birthday I don't think that's right that I had to give up my day plan for my fiance to come finish moving when we was there on the 17th and spoke to the lady in the office and she told us plain out that as long as you had your access code you're able to get in at any hours of the night.

My girlfriend ask me what was the pin # and she had to go back in there to see what was wrong because the lady thought i was just storagin more stuff in fact we had just gotten there to check on. Also my girlfriend had a lock and y'all made us pay for another one high dollar one that is stupid when we could have just gotten a cheap one to put on there and bring the other one back there after we off loaded the truck. I think that is so stupid and it's all about y'all getting more money out of people who already has spent a lot of money on moving. If you want to have more business you need to let people buy what they can afford if they already have a lock but just left it in the car because we had to unload the truck and bring it back to the house so we didn't bring the car. I also think we should be able to leave the truck at any place that that it's a UHaul place.

They were wonderful. This one girl was doing my payment and she had me press the yellow button to enter for my pin but I was suppose to press the green button because I had to repurchase something and that’s what I did and it worked. She took my card and I putted the information into the screen I didn’t like that. But other then that the guys were wonderful.

He accommodated everything I needed and I was very thankful. I would also like to thank Ms. Janice Blackwell for her superior customer service when I called the corporate call center for assistance. She went above and beyond assisting me and is a great example of how all companies should treat customers. She informed me on information I was eligible for regarding a storage unit that I was unaware of, and I am thankful for that as well. At the Conyers GA location, the General Manager Christina Casteel was super nice and friendly. She greatly assisted me with the confirmation of my storage unit and U-Haul truck needs prior to even arriving. Once there she was even more helpful in person with assisting me with a lock purchase and instructions of how to access my storage unit since it was my first time having one. Also I spoke with another customer service rep at the call center named Heather Hargrove who very politely dealt with me on the phone while I had to cancel a reservation for my car dolly. She made sure to take care of all of my needs and was very nice while doing so, and even asked if there was anything that I needed. Overall, I had a great experience with U-haul during my move and I feel that all of these named employees should be recognized for setting a true example of leadership at U-Haul. Their level of commitment to excellent customer service should be modeled by all. Me and my family cannot say thank you enough!
