Pickup of trailer was great. The representative working Saturday 5/17 at 9am was courteous, friendly and supportive. On return on 5/18 at 2pm the only employee visible was at the return lane, but he had zero interest in helping or supporting the return of the trailer. No other customer was I line. When I asked for help he stated it was not his job to help customers with disconnecting the trailer nor to check it in. The positive experience during the pickup was totally overshadowed by the experience on return. Unfortunate!
KNUT FBathrooms were not clean at all. Represenatives were very good. Especially Al!

AYOTUNDE AThey should not be changing customers reservations without their consent. I chose an online option to drop off at a different location and young man changed my reservation to drop off at same location without my consent. Late when I noticed it thru my email. I called customer care and they did not help me either. They said it was too late I could not change due to already taking truck. Not acceptable. Highly upset I had to put extra mileage just to bring it back to same location when I wanted to drop it off closer to where I was moving. Not a happy camper.

I had a bad encounter a few years ago at this location due to poor management but I tell you what they sure as hell correct that issue I will only rent at the location in Springfield berney avenue Massachusetts thank you guys I really appreciate it see you soon?!

ALBERT JBad experience on the uhaul on Bernie Ave Springfield Massachusetts. Not very helpful. Need to empty storage spoke to manager told him I need to rent a truck to empty my storage and he made the paperwork I paid for the truck for then he can tell me by the way elevator is broken. Smh Prices very depending on who's on the counter.

Property camera seen me sweep out truck upon arrival. Said I had to contact management in order to get reimbursed in which I did and was successful. Management understands customer service. Front desk employees don’t.

When I contacted a supervisor about it they said there was nothing they can do about it. I lost pretty much everything to the infestation only able to recover important paper work

MARIA MThe equipment was very clean however the truck lacked good performance. Although this had nothing to do with the Springfield location, we had reserve the truck in Wesfield and then they told us they did not have one there. They said we could pick it up in West Springfield. We were an hour late from our original reservation time and West Springfield did not have a truck for us either. They said the person didn’t bring it back. We feel the folks should’ve reached out to us to let us know that in advance when they knew the truck was not being returned. Hence we wound up in Springfield. although everything worked out fine in the end, it was not a great start to our day or our experience with U-Haul.

PAUL SBad tires, especially the left rear, meant I couldn't exceed 50 miles per hour the entire trip to Kentucky I didn't discover the problem until I stopped to balance the load because the trailer simply wouldn't pull straight at speeds over 47 mph. The left rear tire was absolutely bald, but still holding air when dropped off in Kentucky. I'll never get the additional eight ours of my life back, however.

BRIAN HYou need to honor the reservations that are made. I got an automated notification on a Sunday evening (with Monday being a holiday) that my pickup time was changed from Tues 7AM to Tues 4PM. I could not get ahold of anyone on Sunday or Monday. On Tues, the U-Haul rep that I did talk to could not have cared less about the situation. I lost significant time and money due to the unavailability of the truck. Advice for anyone reading this: go with Penske.

FRANCISCO JAs a driver for a moving company I deal with U-Haul very often.. In my opinion this is the best location in western mass. U-Haul has great employees at every location don't get me wrong but the Bernie Ave, Springfield ma location is my go to store and union st west Springfield ma is my #2
EDWARD TWe went back after a month to realize that mice had completely taken over our unit. There was mice poop in and on everything we had. Everything (including our beds) smelled like urine because the mice had urinated on our things. The amount of mice poop was absolutely ridiculous! The poop completely covered the floor of our unit to the point where we had to empty out the unit and ask the office for a broom to sweep it it out. We were so disgusted that we decided to empty the unit a couple of days later and had to dispose of a lot of our things because it was laced in urine or soiled in poop.

After spending about an hour going back and forth trying to rent another unit because the associate stated this was his first time processing a rental I was then told the new unit I was given was outside rather than inside as I had originally requested. Then I asked to cancel my new order and he had to call his manager to help him as he didn’t know how to do that either. Wasted over an hour through this process and still have no unit. I also have to wait 3 business days to get my money back. I will never recommend or return to this Uhaul as a customer.

As such, it was harder to load the unit and it did lead to a very tall, and possibly unstable, loading practice. Boxes on the bottom may end up collapsing if they are not 100% full.
