Michael H | First ImpressionsI was honestly not expecting a good experience as I had read some rough reviews online but I took a gamble and went with UBOX because of its affordability. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to handle everything. The staff at both St Louis and Denver were friendly and helpful I opted to load in at the site, as I had heard that sometimes the pick up and drop offs can be delayed and I figured this woukd circumvent that issue and it did. In our experience, we loaded everything and bought a bunch of dessicant packets just to be safe and keep moisture away from everything and used smart tags to keep track of our stuff. It was a pretty smooth move over all. We packed everything really tight and had nothing that broke or was unaccounted for. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. Of their app worked better I would give it 5 but it was pretty much unusable. For the best experience, I reccomend conducting all your business by contacting the local ubox facilities directly, that you are shipping from and to, either via phone or in person, for the best experience.
Travis BI was upsold an appliance dolly. When I picked up the truck, it wasn’t in there. I went inside to ask about the dolly. The employee was on the phone with a customer service issue. This was going on for some time - she did not acknowledge I was waiting or acknowledge my presence in any way. This is a timed rental. At some point, I just interjected and asked about the missing dolly. The employee, who had put her call on hold and still had not acknowledged me told me “We don’t have any.” I asked why I was upsold a dolly if the location didn’t have any. She did not answer me. She did not offer to take the rental charge off my reservation. She ignored me. Please do not upsell items you don’t have and please retrain your employee on customer service.
Anisa CI needed a vehicle to transport all of the items needed for Dogs For Our Brave's 5th Annual DFOB Classic Charity Golf Tournament. Charity and Kyle were extremely helpful in helping me determine the right vehicle for my needs. The cargo van worked I rented was perfect! I will definitely be renting from them again for future Dogs For Our Brave events.

TERRY TThis facility doesn't let you know that the locker you use is yours when you turn in the key and are no longer using a unit, which means autopay will still be on and charging the occupants when the unit is not being used.

STEVEN CThe only suggestion I would be for the associates to be aware who is possibly going to witness the interaction. The associates seemed to be distracted with their conversation they were all having about how some equipment was left from the night before, which is totally acceptable; however, as the conversation progressed, they were shouting between the three of them. Not aggressive or anything. They were shouting between rooms, and they were just being loud. It wasn't a big deal, & it was only another customer & myself. I totally understand these things happen, & I'll still will use this location. It was just an observation I had made. Thank you!

NICKIE CThe trailer I rented had one strap that was cut off and too short to use. The trailer also had a blow out and left me on the side of the highway for an hour/hour and a half during a bad storm.
NICHOLAS WWe cannot say enough great things about this process. The only hiccup we ran into was the U-Haul in our previous location had never rented these out before, so there was a learning curve for us all. However, all staff involved in our move were second to none. They accomodated our ever-changing schedule with ease, and made us feel like our needs were the priority. U-box appointments were usually on time or early, and the cost was thousands less than other companies we researched, shipping from California to Illinois.
thomas sNo need to improve, but this location is further away from us. There are UHaul locations very close to us but their trailers were all rented.
JOSEPH Dthe only thing i would suggest is, maybe walking your customer to the actual truck i spent about 8 mins out there and couldn't find it, opposite of that everything else was a breeze!
LAMONT WI think the customer service was excellent. This was my first time at this location and found it to be easy to navigate by instructions and signage.

BRIAN LJust a note to say that Mr. Earl is always kind and very helpful. During this rental, he noticed my hitch ball would be better if he flipped my receiver to an increase in height instead of the standard drop so the trailer would be more evenly aligned with my vehicle for safer towing. I greatly appreciate this wonderful gentleman!!!

That’s scammy behavior. Also no one explained to me how to put gas in the truck what type of gas I needed and I never used a truck before so basically zero/zero help. I honestly will never do this again

They charged me 6.29 for 2 gallons of gas, even though I returned it with the amount of gas I picked it up with. The air conditioner blew hot air and we had to wait for the mirror to be repaired before we left. Staff was very nice.

I showed this to management. Now that I'm gone there probably gonna try to fix it right away. I was told that I had a certain amount of time to look and gather my things in my unit. Meaning that whatever I was coming to get I should have it ready in the front. Treatment as if I were a little child. I was approached by uhal representative and their husband. They both yelled and told me I was there too long. That the police would be called if I don't leave. The amount of time I was told I had to look for my belongings is 30minutes. They also deactivated my card and told me that I had I come to the office and check in to get my things. A total embarrassment in front of other customers. As if I were a nuisance on the property. I would never ever suggest this place to anyone that I know or didn't know.

The woman that was helping me could not find my information on her computer. She “said” she searched my name, contract number and phone number and could not find me in the system. The manger (Keith Sexton) just happened to stop by customer area and found my information without delay. It was starting to be a painful experience before the manager arrived. This is why the move in process for me was rated below average. The woman that helped me did not give me clear instructions on how to get to my storage unit.

This was on the eighth of October and here on the 20th of October I still have not received my money back due to uhaul not releasing it. So I will never use this storage and moving facility ever again nor will I ever recommend it. The fact that it’s has put me in such a financial bind that I’m living in my car now, plus you not releasing my money back to me for no reason. I will never do this again. This has put more hurt on my life than you will know or care to know. I have been on the phone for a week trying to get this situation settled and still no resolution. Uhaul reduced their storage hours to only be open while office personnel are there. This is inconvenient but I understand why. Numerous times while I was at my union there were people who were trying to get in- many homeless people and people who were on drugs trying to get in. There was someone in the bathroom for a few hours doing drugs, a couple times people were so high they wouldn’t even acknowledge you when you talked to them. I don’t know what the fix to this is, but just something to be aware of if you use this storage facilty. Again, staff and units were good. Hours and the location was not, especially with people trying to get in.

The girl behind the counter acted like she had better things to do than wait on customers - she barely spoke to me and when she did I wasn’t even sure if she WAS talking to me because she was eating at the same time. I felt like I was interrupting or annoying her, which is never a good feeling for a customer. :( Then when I tried to come back at 7:45pm to put some things in my storage unit, my key card wouldn’t work and said it was “after hours” although the reader displayed access hours until 10pm. Soooo…that is also an issue.

As a customer acting in good faith, I pre-paid my rental every month. This most recent pay period I pre-paid for October and November. It was to go from the 15th to the 15th. Your records will reflect this information. I was able to retrieve all my belongings and check out on the 16th. I requested a pro-rated refund because I only used the unit for one day yet paid for the entire month. I was told, rudely, by the front line staff "NO PRORATES!" While I understand that as a business model, I explained that they could rent the unit to another customer thereby making more money. Again, I was treated rudely. I want access to UNIT 1302 until November 15th, since I paid for it. Do not rent that unit, although it is empty, to another customer. I wanted to provide this negative feedback and I will update a YELP review as well. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information that might be helpful. It was completely wonderful engaging and made the experience great. There were some hiccups along the way with adequate payment processing and auto payment not being set up. However, her disposition makes all of the errors utterly OK with me. Also, your regional VP I spoke with took the time to give me a call and apologize for another situation. If I do use a location again, I will use this one.

On one visit as I entered storage area I could here a domestic fight inside the building went to tell staff members of hearing a person being slapped told to keep quiet and the sound of a woman crying but had not idea where they were located being they may have been inside a unit, staff members took no concern to at least investigate never even got up to take a look. This location is by far the worse experiences each time I was there.
